Morning all. 25° after 60s yesterday. 2-5" snow predicted.

Need to put new plugs in the old honda, to see if that will help the fuel mileage. Did not drive it last week.

LS, prayers for the injury to heal, sounds painful.

Wngsprd, thanks for tractor pics. Wife has friend in that area, if i go see the tractors she will visit the friend. We have not been down since they married, in the late 90s.

Plans...dump run,critter food,visit to Kubota dealer before noon...guess I better get my but going... rest of the day take it as it comes.

ls_mt125_owner- I am sorry to read about your occupational injury. I am also sorry to read about the doctors' resistence to prescribing pain medications. I broke my leg and blew out my ACL jumping off a sailboat to the dock. I never made the dock. That injury and the rehab/PT/OT process took a real (too) long and painful time to heal. I do not handle pain medications well (motor coordintion, lungs, and poops). Ultimately that knee healed tighter and better functioning than the "good" knee. If you are like me (and I believe you are) do not push/rush the PT excerises; it does not speed healing. I did scotch for "pain management." Please take care and take it easy. You owe it to yourself.

Daugen- I do have a snowmobile suit for operating the tractor in cold weather, but no snowmobile. I can snowshoe right out of our house into the deep woods close by. One of my St. B."s hated going into the snow. The other would let me break trail and follow me.

Phil- I am also in the 3"-5" predicted snow band. I am in the northwest Berkshire Mountain "foot hills." Our property abuts Franklin county and is real close to Berkshire county which by "definition" = the "mountains" . From you last weather/snow post I am under the impression that you live in/near the Worcester Hills, in the higher elevations closer to NH. Our driveway is ~1350' in elevation. My hill is +1400' closer to 1500'. I/ve seen frozen precip on my hill while it is raining down on the driveway. Many times I am in snow and down the hill in the center of town it is raining.

We are killing time here in CT so we can have lunch at one of the better barbecue joints in the area on our way home.

I still have that contracted plow guy to plow our driveway. I do not believe that he had to plow anything during our vacation. I am considering letting him plow me out tomorrow; just to give him some $ for watching the place.

Clear and sunny at Bradley International Airport. Some cirrus clouds and upper air haze is starting to move in.

It will be nice to sleep in my own bed tonight.

It's 19* this morning and the sun is out. Yesterday was mostly sunny, the high was in the low 40's. Today is going to be sunny and windy with a high in the mid 40's. There is a winter storm watch out from late tonight tell Tuesday morning. It says that we might get 12-24 inches in the mountains with 20-30 mph wind. It sounds like it is the biggest storm of the season so far.

Not much going on. I'll finish up a little project I was working on today.

Rain is gone and it's cleared off. Looks like we got about .27" of rain this morning.

So, I get to the dump...and it's closed for President's Day...which is Monday. The township dump isn't open every day anyway, and closing it on a weekend isn't acceptable. I'll be making a complaint come Monday....well, Tuesday.

Good morning all! Thanks for the thoughts and prayers! Horrible night sleeping, kept waking up about every hour, I would think I found a position of comfort for the knee, but would wake up with the knee "stuck" in position. Talk about painful to move.
The Dr wanted to give me crutches yesterday...."nah, I don't need those, I'll be fine", sure.... Could'nt stand up from bed this morning. My wife says I'm stubborn....me?...no way! Didn't try any alcohol before bed last night, I still have some 25y/o "Chivas Regal" (I've had it for an additional 25 yrs.) wonder if it's still good? Gonna try it tonight. :licking:
Swelling went down a bit, using the brace, but can now feel 'crunching' when I walk...not a good sign
Oh well, see what ortho Dr says next week.
Funny how work people will almost instantly take advantage of a situation...had the head of education call me while I was still getting evaluated, wanted to know if I would teach a bunch of classes when I go on light duty.... Really? Told him we'll see...
