We saw several bears. Here’s a pretty poor pic I took of a Black Bear from a distance. It’s about as close as I want to get. I have a much better video of it, but can’t post videos.

Back to some hay loading this morning. Today, I ran 1 load today to a different buyer. Just getting strapped-down here. Once I got that done, I hooked up the CX-15 to the Challenger and cut 2 small customer’s places. Fairly steep. Tomorrow, I have a BIG place to cut, then it’s on...

Yes. I was in that exact same spot. The hikes were hard. Especially this one below to Grinell Glacier. This was a black diamond hike. We got caught in a windy rain squall. We had come pretty close to hypothermia. Glacier Lake was nicer weather. I went for a plunge. So cold it felt...

I was working on my largest farm tractor about 2 months ago during first cutting. Typically we are like walking zombies because of the work load. Onto a little maintenance. I just changed these fuel filters. No room to get your hand in there to push down on the manual pump. I had to use the John Deere pry bar to pump it. Just another “easy” day. I might as well just use diesel fuel as cologne. lol

    Opinions on 2023 ZD1211

I have 2 ZD-1211-72’s and so far, I really like them. Surprisingly good traction, better seat and more grease points than old design ZD331/ZD326. I kind of like the old design fuel tank system and gauges better.

    Echo CS-356 leaks bar oil

I think it’s crazy that a saw leaks oil continuously after use. I could see a little right after shut down, but this one I just took back leaked like a 1/4 cup while sitting. Rotary Cutter Discussion

Caution: Field mowing/cutting can be addictive. I started doing it 25 years ago. Started with a John Deere MX-8 and a 60HP tractor with 2 or 3 customers and now pulling in an extra 40K a year with ~20 customers running a 15’ batwing and a 135HP tractor. I’m still amazed at how much opportunity...
