Are you sure it's hydraulic fluid? I've had many hydraulic leaks, but have only seen them while the equipment is running. I've had engine oil leaks while the engine is cold though, probable a gasket gone bad.

How long does it take to over heat? maybe there's "gunk" in the radiator fins. Blow them out with compressed air, then thoroughly rinse it with warm water if possible to get the stuff out that the air could not. It's amazing to watch what washes out. Hopefully that will solve the issue

Can't answer your question, but what I did on my tractor after I had the same general issue (color coding gone), once I figured out the proper connections, I used colored zip ties to match the hoses to the connections. I had to use the trial and error method to match mine up..,,,,,

If you have a farm equipment dealer near you (doesn't matter what brand) with a repair shop, take it to them to try to match up. Sometimes they have stuff in stock.

If you have a good battery jump box, or even a spare battery (that has higher cca than the one installed, and that is fully charged), hook either one of those up before your first attempt at starting. my bet is that the battery is just not strong enough. OEM specs aren't necessarily the best...

I do the same as mentioned above - just a plastic tarp bungee'd down. To keep rain/snow from melting in the low spots (like the seat) and forming a 100lb block of ice, I try to stick something in there (like a 4 ft length of wood) to raise the tarp up so that water runs off instead of pooling.

All blowers throw gravel and break shear pins. Shipping you the wrong fittings was obviously their fault. As with most new equipment, it takes a few times to figure out how it works best; its strengths and weaknesses. I used to break a lot of shear pins when blowing back hard snowbanks...

You don't necessarily need to install it at the end of your driveway. Could maybe put any detection system after the last curve closest to the house. All just depends on your preference, of course.

Agree with roadworthy - I always start with the battery. In cold temps, what otherwise seems to be a good battery will quickly be too weak. I keep a good battery jump box handy to give the battery a strong boost for starting in the frigid temps; always works.

it does not sound normal. i use a skidsteer for snow removal; if I plug in the block heater, it will start easier and I will have cab heat much quicker. Also - I don't think you need to have it plugged in all night - a few hours before using it should work just fine.

this guy has non-cam chains with a hook instead kind of like you do. Go to about 7:30 in the video to see how he latched the hook. It may be that your chains are too small for your tires (so maybe add a few links)

Did you buy it new from the dealer? if you did, have him put a new one in, or whatever it takes to fix the problem. Shouldn't have a warranty issue since you told him about it a year ago.

Use rubber bungee cords to snug the chains nice and tight (on the inside too). That's what I do.

No personal experience, but if there is a cover on each side, maybe remove the other cover that works and look closely at the latch to see if it helps you figure out a way to unlatch the broken one in the other side.

For what it's worth, I run 15w40 in my tractor, skidsteer, and zero turn. That's what the manual calls for. the skidsteer and tractor start fine in sub zero temps; just let them warm up for awhile. never tried to start the zero turn in sub zero temps though.........

I used Google maps to draw lines to connect the corners of my property. I then could identify the larger trees, etc close to the line to give me a relatively good idea where the property line is. Crude, but good enough for my purposes.

agree.....I lend my tractor to my neighbor when he wants to brush hog his field - I plug my seat safety switch back together when he's using it.

The seat on my MF1540 would freeze in the winter, so the seat safety switch could not detect any weight in the seat. Just bypassed the switch and never looked back....,

When I check the hydraulic fluid level, I make sure all of the rams are in a closed position (not extended), then make sure the level is between the markings

I wouldn't worry about the loader edge, but rather digging up the pavement (I'm picturing the asphalt already breaking up based on your description - kind of like my driveway). can mitigate potential driveway damage by keeping the loader edge not angled down too sharply and putting it in float...

Put some chains on those tires.....could probably have backed out of that with chains and the loader pushing you.

Connections look loose and dirty. Might be as simple as cleaning them up and connecting them tightly. Doesn't hurt to try at least.

Are you sure that maybe you don't have a small tiny crack in the fitting? maybe just swap o rings from a different connection and see if the problem follows the suspect o ring.

Looks like possibly a gasket? That's what I would look into - unscrew that bolt in the center and see what's under the plate (or see if the bolt is loose - maybe it just needs to be tightened)

Did you look closely at the physical part to see if there a number on there? Might be something that is lightly stamped into the part. I personally don't know if there is a number on there.

Not familiar with your machine, but generally its probably something loose in the shifter - retaining pin or something like that.

Could also just ask AGCO or a dealer; they handle probably a few hundred a week I would think.

That's what I would do - use the plow and pile it around. Next sunny day, just go out and blow the piles away at a leisurely pace to make room for the next snow.

I'd be more worried about someone wrecking the equipment vs contaminated oil. Ripping off a hose, bending a cylinder, falling off the trailer while transporting, having the whole thing never returned, etc.

I have no specific knowledge, but I would start by checking all of the fuses just to rule out a simple blown or loose fuse as being the cause.

If it were me, I'd give it a few days to completely dry out (if you don't see any loose wires).

there is a shutoff valve......I guess it's just automatic vs manual. From looking at the video though, looks like you get a pretty good amount of fuel leaking in the process anyway.......might want to wear some gloves

I don't know about your tractor specifically, but usually the fuel shut off is right next to the housing for the fuel filter. Just a little tab thingy you flip 90 degrees to block off the line. Edit: this video (not me) says the fuel line shuts off automatically

I have; both in my tractor and my truck. Not every year, but enough to know to check it before I start it if it has been sitting for awhile. they don't touch the skidsteer and mower filters though.
