    F Series vs. ZD

Beleive it or not I haven’t pulled the trigger on a unit yet. Local dealer just had a zd1211 show up last week. Finally got to see it today. I will say one thing…the Kubota is built infinitely better than the competition. It’s not even close. Like a tank. The dealer is telling me he won’t sell...

    F Series vs. ZD

Anyone know if there dealers will willingly install the air seat on zd1211. I asked this one and said they are not authorized to do it. They can special order it but want nothing to do with the swap out… I’ve seen videos where people are ordering them with the air ride seat.

    F Series vs. ZD

Honestly it’s not just the diesel that has me leaning Kubota. The build quality seems a lot better than the competitors. Most machines are using belts, hoses, and pulleys. I don’t know…most units seem kluged together with whatever they can find in the garage. Like incomplete. The Kubota has...

hahaha full bore it uses 1 gallon per minute 😂🤣

Do rear discharge cover the machine. Possibility of over heating?

    F Series vs. ZD

What’s the difference if grass is fanned out over the grass or is left in rows by a side discharge? I would think the rows look worse? I’m definately not bagging.

    F Series vs. ZD

You guys recommend side discharge or rear discharge? Rear discharge is probably better for horsepower. Grass evacuates faster. Side discharge keeps grass off the machine. But it will be throwing it into gardens and pool.

Is the are ride seat a factory option from Kubota. I don’t see it on the website when I configure a mower?

    F Series vs. ZD

How much does the zd1211 with 72” bog down? Is it adequately powered? I mow weekly. How is emission system on the zd1611? Is it fixed? 5-6k for more power and the same size mower deck is a tough pill to swallow.

We have a truck and trailer…granted not as cool as yours. It has boat duty…

    F Series vs. ZD

I have thought about that…but finding a good clean used zero turn is hard. Plus Kubota financing is hard to beat on new units. I’m leaning towards the zd1211 72” now. Ferris 3300 look nice with suspension but that gas engine meh… Grasshopper look nice too. But dealers are in the next state...

I don’t doubt they climb hills. For my the awd advantage was for snow and clearing my hilly driveway. Which ain’t happening with a zero turn

I received landscaping quotes. It’s a no go. $300 a week is nuts. I’d make that back in a few seasons. Mowing is 7-8 months here. Plus…it gives me reason to buy some more toys!!!

    F Series vs. ZD

You guys haven’t done me any favors this weekend… So I’m buying a big diesel zero turn, a big diesel tractor for a bat wing mower, anything else? 😵‍💫

    F Series vs. ZD

Good point. It does go faster…but it beats the crap out of the equipment. I don’t mind it so much beating my body up. But I care about my tractor getting demolished.

I’ve watched that video before. The grasshoppers are nice. I don’t think I have a dealer close unfortunately. The other issue with grasshopper or any zero turn is they are 2 wheel drive. Using them to plow or for any snow removal is not happening. Maybe on flat land. But up here it’s all hills...

Can you comment what rpm and speed you mow at? Do you mow at high or low range?

    F Series vs. ZD

I’m about to drop 24k on this Kubota…the scag zero turns I think are cheaper? Maybe I’m expecting too much from these machines? I realize they won’t ride like Cadillacs but I do want something faster than my JD that only goes 3mph.

Do you think the zd or f ride smoother. Seems like haydude thinks zd run smoother. I’ve read other posts who disagree. John Thomas thinks the f series run smoother. So I’m conflicted. And getting conflicting information.

When you mowed with the f3680…did you mow in low or high gear? Also what rpm? Based on f series user manual high rpm low gear is 5.5mph…which is already faster than my current setup. Max rpm and high gear is 12 mph. I don’t think anyone is mowing at that speed.

Man you are killing me…and my bank account!!!! Hahaha I agree larger tractor with much larger attachments would be Nice. But newer larger tractors with attachments would be 50-60k all in. Plus maneuverability is terrible with them

I am in Connecticut. So it snows. Not a ton…but I have to be able to remove it. Our driveway is a hilly 3/4 mile long. Right now I use a 54” rear econor blower. Driving it backwards blows 🤮 It does not have a quick disconnect for anything. It’s an older tractor so finding attachments and...

    F Series vs. ZD

This is part of my concern. Rise is very nice. Like a Cadillac. Problem is it’s wicked slow…I run it 2nd gear 2300 rpm. She clocks in at a whopping 3 mph. It’s painful. I’ve tried running in 3rd gear. But it gets bumpy for sure. The tractor really isn’t meant for it… I tried the f2690 at my...

How is power on the zd1211 with 72”. My dealer was saying f2690 might be under powered with a 72”.

    F Series vs. ZD

I’m keeping the JD because I want the front loader. The problem with the JD is I can’t find a front snow blower or blade for snow removal. Which is where the f series comes in. It also has 1650 hours. So it’s getting up there in age. If you can beleive it…thing is 30+ years old. It’s in great...

    F Series vs. ZD

Have been doing a ton of research regarding f series vs zero turns. Right now mowing with a John Deere 770 with 86” finish mower. I have about 5-6 acres to mow. I’ve been leaning towards a f series because of its versatility. But I read that they are slow and rough compared to a zd zero turn...
