Sounds like it was all done properly. The turbo usually has oil pumped to it for lube, and cooling. Sticking flapper, or waste gate sticking. I did a friends turbo rebuild years ago. Clean up, polish shafts, new seals for his skid steer. It went fine. Maybe a good clean up and new seals for yours.

Very good point Dodge Man, new valve stem seals, as well as a properly rebuilt cylinder head with new guides if needed.

Did you pay close attention as to how you properly arranged the compression rings on the pistons before installing. If two top rings are aligned with their gaps not 180 degrees offset it can allow oil to get from the crankcase to the upper combustion chamber easier.
