    Do what they do all over texas…install cattle grates on the road with side fences to prevent walk arrounds. i worked at a ranch that painted cattle grates on the road, and neither the horses or cattle would walk over them.

    Could be a bad oil pressure sensor unit. On any other vehicle i usually pull the sensor and install an oil pressure gauge and compare reading to specs. I have no idea if tym sensors are normally open or normally closed units.

    I could use a smart outlet…by why bother. I just plug my trucks and tractor into a standard plug in timer. I set the timer for daily start at 6am and it runs for 3 hours. If i use vehicles thats great. If i dont, its a waste but during winter i generally use the units daily.

    i used self regulating heat tape on my patio cover and associated gutters and downspout due to icing issues and leaking a few years ago. stuff is amazing. i can clamp an ampmeter on the circuit and verify that after ice is melted the power use drops to next to nothing.
