This is really a "to each his own" situation. I think pre-paying for something like a $200 hydraulic cylinder on Amazon and pre-paying for a $5K grapple with a 6 month wait time are two entirely different things. I just don't pre-pay for big ticket items, especially ones I can't lay my hands on...

HaHa!! I feel the same about anyone that leaves theirs on all the time. :ROFLMAO: I just can't stand all that mass out in front of me all the time. I guess most of the reason is I came from a time when we didn't own loaders for our tractors. Just let me know when you find something. It takes a...

Loader Skid Steer or Euro loader attachments?

I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed but when I bought my latest tractor I saw that the Global was the way to go. I like and trust the design. Fast forward a year or so and I bought a PHD that was SSQA so I picked up a Bell Precision adapter plate. Now I'm not limited to either hook up...

    Nuclear anyone?

I don't doubt the newer technology has a broader range of capability. I just don't think we have any of that technology in the US. At least what I searched I didn't see any newer units. Vogtle is in the process of building 2 new units to commission this year. Other than those I think all the...

I know who built them and what they were built for. I worked there for Dupont and WSRC for 20 years. First of all I didn't say NRC built them, I said "they" which was referring to Dupont. Nuclear anyone?

I really don't think we have the intelligence to build new reactors in the US anymore. The NRC is over the top with idiots and I really don't know if they would ever manage to get one built. I personally think the only advantage that you have is the required speed of the generator. Half the speed does reduce wear and possibly allows the tractor to run a lower RPM. I doubt there's a manufacturer in business with the nads to build a 12', 3PT batwing mower. That thing would be stupid heavy. I have a Maschio 10' flail that weighs 2100 pounds. I can't imagine picking anything much heavier up without front weights even with weights it would be uncomfortable.

Searching for a truck I may never find?

It's a 22. Most 22s I've looked at have 30,000 plus. I ran into a couple with less than 10K. I suppose you buy it to travel in but if it's your daily driver as well it's pretty easy to have 36K on a 2.5 yo truck. Miles don't concern me on one of these trucks. Especially 36K.
  96. workinonit

The hearing aides can be programmed to cut out at a certain level. The issue is the ear piece is not a hearing protection device. When I worked full time in the power plant I had a pair that shutdown as soon as I walked out in the plant.

Pat's Quick Hitch and arms... slanting when lifting?

You have to do a bit of research to make sure the implement actually fits YOUR QH. Anything I buy new fits mine. I had to modify several of my old ones to fit my CAT II QH but I can tell you this, once you get them all to fit you just can't beat a QH. Especially if you have a hydraulic toplink.

Pat's Quick Hitch and arms... slanting when lifting?

I've noticed the "twist" on lift arms my whole life. It's the geometry of the lift on some if not most tractors. That's why they have balls on them and not rigid holes. And it's one reason I don't use Pat's. I love my QH.
