Ironcraft Loader Mounted Post Hole Digger

I have one that's not an Ironcraft. Bought it from a farm equipment auction new for $1200. Got a 12", 6" and 24" auger with it. After buying a SS adapter and fabbing up a mounting plate it works great. I was at an auction last Saturday and they had 3 of them on it. No idea what they brought.

Modular Homes - Good/Bad experiences... I am considering this pretty seriously...

It's a bit silly to say a modular home is better built than a stick home. I'm not very smart but I'm pretty sure that depends on the stick home that is being compared to. Lots of ways to build a house that's way better than a modular home.

Mount chain saw on loader for limb trimming

I have my Limb Hog on my 5090 with PR transmission and it works quite nicely. For me, the camera mounted on the saw boom is a game changer. Mount chain saw on loader for limb trimming

Are tractors and equipment a good investment right now?

Yes, exactly. Once the capital equipment is depreciated, it is depreciated. That equipment has nothing to do with the consumables that you mentioned except they are used on that equipment. And yes all of that is obviously deductible.

Why 3 lines for the backhoe attachment?

I'm with you. It makes no sense to me. Usually all the "magic" is done at the diverter valve or the 3rd function valve if the hydraulics are live. I would see no reason to have a PB line going out to the 3rd function or a return line from the 3rd function. But all that said I'm a hydraulics...

does a canopy fan help with insects?

I live in bug central. A canopy, as nice as they are to keep the sun off does absolutely nothing for the bugs. That's why I got a cab. It's so satisfying to see horse and deer flies smack the cab glass trying to get to me.

Mount chain saw on loader for limb trimming

Yep, I cut limbs and come back with my grapple bucket to clean up. It would be much better with a second tractor and operator. But... my saw works great and is much better than climbing or hiring someone to climb.

Mount chain saw on loader for limb trimming

The problem with these loader mounted saws is visibility. You can't see the libs you want to cut because of the height of the limb, the cab obscures visibility if you have a cab and the tree limbs around the limb you are cutting get in the way. I have a wireless camera system on my tractor so I...

You're correct. You win. I've never run a G. I've never seen a G. After looking at it I will stick with the offset 140s. As I said I've never seen one but that looks to be a wider tractor for a 2 row operation. If it won't plant on 4 foot rows that's an automatic out for me.

What's Your Favourite 2 Stroke Oil Mix Tool

Royal Purple oil and grease is used in probably 90% of all the motors and gearboxes in all power plants in the US. I've seen some amazing tests that were actually performed on the equipment in our plant. I've been using it in my vehicles and farm equipment since '96.

Whats wrong with my Land plane build?

These are just opinions based on my build which works flawlessly. First off, that thing would have cutter blades on it if it were mine. They would protrude at least 1/2" below the sides. In the pics it looks like you have too much front and not enough rear lift adjustment. Material pouring over...

    Draft control bleed off

    Mower change..

I wish that were true. I would do nothing but run a flail. Unfortunately, that's not the case. Deer will return before I can get through cutting. Deer and coons are the most aggravating animals ever and basically good for nothing but destroying crops.

I think you can get a Bad Boy in that price range. The guy that cuts my grass sometimes when I'm traveling and can't has one and it seems to be a good mower. I have a Kubota ZD1211 but that's quite a bit out of your price range.

Three Point Draw Pin Nut keeps coming off - how to secure it

If that QH is designed for the pins to fit so loosely in the saddles you may never get that left pin to stay tight without securing it somehow. That's a poor design for sure. The spring loaded keeper should contact the pin at all times and not allow it to move at all. As for the right side, it...

Three Point Draw Pin Nut keeps coming off - how to secure it

All of that may well be true but the spring loaded keeper on top should engage the top of the pin with little to no space or play. That would drive me nuts. There are a dozen easy ways to keep a nut on but that slop needs to be removed. Probably doesn't matter as much with a bush hog or FM but...

Three Point Draw Pin Nut keeps coming off - how to secure it

I see a ton of space between the saddle of the QH and the pin. Are you supposed to be running bushings? Is that a CAT II hitch with CAT I pins on the cutter? Something is not right there. That wobble and slop are probably what's causing the nut to loosen.

My cousin has a road maintenance mowing service that does highway grass cutting for the state. He has literally tried all the brands and he says the JD 15 foot cutters hold up the best of any of them. All of them wear out after a while. He has a graveyard of them at his equipment shed.

I suppose it's just what you get used to. I've had front deck mowers from Yazoo to F series. I like the ability to get close to edges with a front deck but for me a ZT is more maneuverable. Those tricycle Yazoo's would put your butt on the ground.
