Common sayings that are wrong or butchered

Off topic but still laugh, I used to get in trouble for panking snow instead of actually shoveling it. First thing my folks bought when I moved out was a snowblower 😂, before that I just had a shovel. Second thing was a brand new dishwasher.

Common sayings that are wrong or butchered

Finally, I now understand where the origins of panking snow came from. Makes sense it's from the many copper and iron miners that worked and settled vast areas up there.

Anybody using a backhoe attachment on their CUT?

Had an old smaller great bend 651 3pt mounted on my old L2850 very handy, it was self contained meaning you hooked the hydro pump on the pto shaft, if I ever needed another 3pt bh I'd probably look for the same setup for hydraulics. Never needed a thumb I curled the bucket into the stick when...

Working rail roads and their tracks.

What was confusing for me anyway, it looked like the end of it was going the same direction as the engine on different grades/ lines why I initially thought there were two different trains running parallel on different grades. Your map clarified why I thought that.

Working rail roads and their tracks.

So they built the loop to eliminate switch backs on an old line? Thanks for the map it definitely helped explain things better for me anyway halfway through your video I thought I was watching two separate trains. Lol

R14 tire pressure... have you read the sidewall?

R14 tire pressure... have you read the sidewall?

I'm apparently awaiting disaster also. my weather checked tires that still hold air, are so old they were made before the date mandate lol. Unsure if a manufactured date is even required on off road equipment tires perhaps a owner of a newer tractor can chime in?

If it's cold where you live, what are you heating with and what is it costing?

Never looked at bending from wind making it hard to split, for me I believed and still do think the age of the tree and how tight the rings are related to ease of splitting I do think the tighter the rings the longer and hotter it burns.

If it's cold where you live, what are you heating with and what is it costing?

I've seen a few roadside firewood stands that sell mostly poplar for firewood or I believe it was pople. Also interesting is Usually the first trees to start regrowing a clear cut in my area is poplar

If it's cold where you live, what are you heating with and what is it costing?

"Drifting" I still have freinds that travel to hunt and spend enormous amounts of money. Imho I'd rather buy tools, equipment for making wood and tractor implements, for my adrenaline fix 😂.
  14. jjeff

If it's cold where you live, what are you heating with and what is it costing?

I don't deer hunt anymore but when I did there is a distinctive taste difference in terms of what deer ate up north mostly evergreen boughs, and southern deer that ate mostly field corn. U.P. deer definitely tasted gamier in my experience.

If it's cold where you live, what are you heating with and what is it costing?

Curious as to why maple is worthless? I like burning it, I usually drop a dying one, yellow birch, or beech trees, to burn, seasoned maple seems to burn best though. The key I've found is seasoning the wood. In any case I burn what's available on my property, always trying to find diseased or...
