That - dealer. Stihl is at ACE now, not where I would get any chainsaw. My Echo dealer is great, so is the local Stihl dealer. Neighbor has a Husky and he loves it. With all the dead ash, both our saws get a lot of use, and the 620 with a 24" bar is perfect and quick for bucking 30+ inch trees.

I have an echo CS490 /18"/20" as my little saw and a CS620P/24" as my bigger saw. Seems like you want something in between. The Echos are slightly heavier for the power, but so much less $.

I use the red Renegade, good for heavy brush and grass, since I have Stiltgrass on the trails due to deer tracking the seeds around. I use a Stihl FS110 with bicycle handles and the brishcutter blade cover (It's metal and replaces the plastic one from the weedwhacker during use.

I would need suspenders to carry batteries on my belt. However, suspenders with attachments for batteries...something to think about.

Less than a mile from house and carry phone. I think backpack in summer would be too hot carrying it while working for 2-3 hours. Backpack has the advantage of the waist strap, so a sling bag with shoulder and waist strap seems like a good solution, just haven't seen one.

The flicker comes with 6 bulbs on one dimmer. I have 2 setups like that, different LED certified dimmers. Matching bulbs/brnads in each setup , 2 brands. I can get them to flicker at the highest setting. I tried 3 dimmers before I got the 2 x 14 watt Cree LEDs to stop flickering in my bathroom...

I bet the prices go up (again) on the excluded bulbs. I have had so much bad luck with name brand LEDs that blink on dimmers. CFL bulbs only lasted half the advertised time. Starting to wonder if there are any cost/resource savings. Need clean burning

My brushcutter is setup for blades, they are circular, but not circular saw. Special metal guard goes on, not the plastic one. Still need to pay attention though, would certainly hurt more than a string !

620p has 20", 24" (which I have) and 27" as options, The 24" is well balanced in the cut. The saw is a bit heavier than the competing Husqy or Stihl for the HP, but about half the price. The Makita's have a great reputation, but I don't see any tree people using them, and Makita is getting out...

when the BH is off you need to connect the 2 lines together to allow flow to go through. The third line you just cap. Not extra line/valve needed.

When I took a medium size one out of the pool, I got it all the way down the road and then it was all claws and tail going. The one he is showing was so calm, If I held the one I had like that I would have been pretty sliced and diced. I will stick to using a net thank you.

I have a 1720 and do not need to do anything with the BH on to get the MMM arms to raise/lower. Not sure why yours is different.

Just make sure you look at e-bike weights, If you can't lift it onto rack or into RV it won't be fun. Some lighter e-bikes have just appeared on the market, and even fold up ones.

Sounds interesting, wonder if the PTO drive will be able to take it as the spec sheet says 53HP for the chipper minimum. Also wonder about enough lube in the engine and how to get the heat out of the cooler. And hydraulic heat and ... keep us updated, seems like a fun project.

Welcome to the GC world, I have a 1720tlb, so same as yours. Get a cover for the fan underneath if you haven't already. If you do any dirt work, a toothbar is quite useful. Forks are another add on that I use a lot. Good luck with the 1710 and hope you get many trouble free years out of it...

I like the ferns here as they make nice borders all by themselves and reduce the stiltgrass growth. But yes, they get big and are tough and seem to grow on the shaded edges of any clearing. Those are some big healthy looking ones, probably making a mess when you trim them out.

Penfolds makes a decent shiraz that you can get here in the Northeast. Their "bins" are usually the higher quality/cost. We get some really good South African Shiraz, selection from down under is jusr ok unless willing to spend too much.
