I would make sure all bolts are out (I see one still in place on left side where ground strap is) and lines are disconnected. Then take a thin chisel or thick putty type knife and drive it between the mating surface in multiple places and that should break it free. If not try a pry bar.

My TC45DA lights are just like that. There are two bolts holding each light on and an about 1” hole for the wires to go through.

You could try mounting them vertically to decrease the width. However, I think that sheet metal will get damaged if you hit them with limbs.

My TC45DA had that same setup and I am replacing them with some leds in a steel framed box. This is the layout on a piece of plywood.

For what you’re doing I would just use silicone as it’s not containing any pressure.

I have not done what you are doing, but I don’t think there is. That plate is for making adjustments to the 3 point system.

Not sure if that would allow you enough space to clean and reseal the opening below the lift housing between it and the rear axle housing. There are some YouTube videos done by a Canadian guy on rebuilding one of those series tractors. I think it’s a 444 that he did.

Not sure on the exact weight but it is a big chunk of cast iron. The three point lift arms also have to be disconnected and those upper lift arm crosses can be very difficult to remove.

Why would you get rid of tires that are only half worn out? If winter is a big concern (spring is around the corner) get a set of winter tires and wheels. Being in NH a set of true winter tires/wheels would make sense and then run your current tires/wheels spring/summer/fall.

There are two wires on the lower left side below the driver’s foot that activate the servo for the two speed (turtle/rabbit). Make sure those two wires have not been disconnected.

Correct it’s not a rule but rather an example.

One thing that may help is to add an accumulator (aka soft ride is one of the terms used for it) to the loaders lift circuit. An accumulator will cushion the shock loads so they don’t have the impact that breaks things. I know bigger tractors can have them.

Yes they are I was merely saying that straight six engines are typically long strokes and produce their torque at lower RPMs. Any engine with a longer stroke tends to produce more torque than a shorter stroke engine.

It also looks like the OP’s inside side chain may be not tightened enough and that might help. Ruffdogs picture of the latch is correct!!

I have 18’ car hauler with 3500lb axles and 7k gross. I always wish I got at least 10k or 12k and it was 20’ long or more.

No it’s the long stroke of the straight six including the naturally aspirated (non turbo/ no blower), but the turbo can increase it if the boost comes in at a low enough RPM.

I only guess his meaning, but I would take it to high torque at low RPMs aka just above idle RPMs. Straight six cylinder engines are known for having more torque at lower RPMs than V8s.

On diesel engines there are no o-rings injector lines have a flared fitting on each end.

Those nicely rounded ends will not tear up your grass like the factory ones do.

I have not used mine on my tractor but it airs (tops off) up car tires just fine. It works for mowers and wheelbarrows too. I may get one for each car.

The Alamo end caps have a hexagon shaft that goes into the bearings on each end/side.

Their running more like 7 miles per hour or more now and putting north of 250 HP at that speed or much more HP.

It is available to add and can be purchased at ram dealers or at online molar parts stores. One physically installed a software application has to be used to enable it. You can purchase it (e.g., AlphaOBD or JScan) or the dealer can enable it.

I drove a new IH 1480 combine about 40 miles to deliver it (no header) it would not do 14 mph unless going downhill. It took about 3hrs as I recall. The 1480’s tires were wider than the wings on our drop deck trailer. The trailer was used to deliver its 30’ header.

I had a mason do a block wall for us and I wanted it filled with concrete. He mixed the concrete in his mortar mixer. Why aren’t they for both applicable for mortar and concrete?

It depends on it’s condition, but I would think in a range of say $900 to $2000. It has the small seed box and it looks like it doesn’t have a fertilizer so it shouldn’t be too rusty. Guys take them and cut them in half so a ATV can pull them.

The TC45 tractors don’t have an ecu so no trouble codes are generated/set.

On many tractors the engine, transmission and rear axle casting are the only frame and its not appropriate to hitch at non-designed towing points. More than one person has broken tractor castings by pulling at the wrong point. Basically tow from somewhere the factory designed for pulling from.

A heated seat/cushion would be an easy way to help with that.

The last series of actual International tractors in the very early 1980s the 88 series (3088, 3488, 3688, 5088, 5288 & 5488) had the fan mounted in front of the radiator, but they did by running the fan shaft through the center of the radiator. I don’t know how they fared longevity wise though.

Maybe road it for like ten miles with lower air pressure like the lowest the manual calls for. You could also add a heavy implement on the 3 point.

I agree! To run that planter your PTO has to run the fan. The hydraulic hose goes to the cylinder to raise and lower the planter. Another thing it looks like it has no till coulters on it, so it will pull harder when used to no till in seeds. You may want to ask your question on the forum...

You have solid non-adjustable wheels. With the AG two piece wheels or the power adjust wheels one can adjust the wheel spacing to let the tire run in the plow furrow. There is a good thread on here that explains how to setup a tractor with a moldboard plow.

I think you have more tongue weight with it backed on than you think. It looks like your truck is a 1/2 ton so you may want to weigh it and see what you have. I have too much tongue weight with my tractor backed in the attached picture with my 2500 truck, but not if I pull it on. That said...

That’s what I have other than the manufacturer and the fenders get in the way when loading from the sides.

A deck-over makes loading from the side with a forklift much easier. However, the load/deck is higher and longer ramps are needed.

Personally I’d rather just tamp the posts in tight using screenings (fines washed out when washing gravel). This makes it easier to remove and replace wood posts when they rot and they will eventually.

Here’s some information from my owners manual on the three point hitch.

What was the position of your draft control lever the one closest to the seat? To go deeper the draft control lever as needs far forward and down as possible and then move it up some if you are loosing traction. If it was to the rear it would limit your depth.

This series of IH tractors has two sets of mounting points for the lower 3 point arms on the rear of the tractor. They also have two positions on the links that run up from the lower arms to the upper point that actually does the lifting. I don’t know which one yours are in, but that may help...

To remove the injectors the lines have to be out of the way. You might get by without removing them if the end on the pump is really loose. However, if you bend the line(s) it’s sometimes really hard to get them back on and if kinked you need a new one(s).

The shifting between ranges while trying to bake would kind of suck (having to come to a full stop to shift).

I used cabinet screws to hang my OSB (716” or 1/2”) and painted it white. I may caulk the seams later as it will seal it tighter.

I capped off the line from the top of the fuel filter and the where it tees into the return line. Once that was done my fuel filter stayed full of fuel when running.

How hard is it to get the tank out and what is the process to remove it?

For the TC 35, 40 & 45 the hydrostatic filter is on the left side kinda by the starter. This is a higher pressure filter so don’t just by an oil filter. The hydraulic filter is bigger and by the right rear tire.

That is a very dangerous piece of equipment.

Why keeping your fingers away from the knives when raising the cutter bar is the biggest operator issue. Critters on the ground is a separate matter. In reality the PTO shaft on any equipment warrants continuous respect.

I bought a $100.00 Ford 917 back in 2009 and used it for years until the hood rusted completely out in 2020. I got another one to replace it too. Can you post a picture of the blades you are using?

Well replaced six orings and started it up and immediately it blew out two of the orings at the filter housing top port. However, I just used orings from a generic kit I had so NOT Kubota parts. On a side note it is missing the bracket that supports the filter so I think even with Kubota parts...

Here is a picture of my TC45DA with my flail mower on a 18’ trailer (16’ flat & 2’ of dovetail). I would not get less than 20’ and likely 22’, so you have room to position it for the proper balance/tongue weight. Note a flail mower is way shorter than a bush hog.

You should run this load over a scale. You may find that you have too much tongue weight. With a 24’ trailer you should be able to balance that load very well. Air bags may help once you get the load balance correct.

I wonder if anyone makes one with a steel bearing retainer? Or if I can just buy the retainer rather than the whole assembly as my bearing still rotates smoothly.

I was given a free stump grinder but it doesn’t have any markings on it and no manual. Its front bearing retainer is broken and that allows the shaft to move to far forward and then the shaft comes out of the rear bearing retainer. The broken bearing retainer has FU210 in raised letters...

This series of IH tractors use a two stage clutch to operate the PTO. When you push the clutch down you can feel when you release the drive portion of the clutch and then if you push down more the PTO can be shifted.

They are about 34” overall length, the arms are about 2 3/8” deep (top to bottom) and about 13/16” wide.

I haven’t, but the extendable 3 point arms on my TC45DA are the best thing ever IMHO. 😎 I want to add a set to my IH 424 if I keep it as they make hooking up 3 point equipment a very non-strain full event.

The Woods and Rhino 12’ batwings rotary cutters list 35HP as their minimum, so if you’re at +50 a L6060 should work. If you’re in really steep terrain maybe it might push it around as they are +2000 pounds.

I think your picture proves my point. If you had a 5’ rotary cutter on your 3 point your grapple would be at or beyond the end of the trailer. The result is you would have no way to adjust the load (forward or backward) in order to get the tongue weight needed.

If you moving your tractor it needs implements to work with, so you need an even longer trailer. I have a 18’ trailer and it is too short. I would like to get a 22’ trailer with at least 5200 pound (= 10k trailer) axles at a minimum, 6k or 7k pound axles would be better. I have a 74” flail...

The power reverser transmissions allow for clutch-less forward and reverse shifts at lower speeds for loader work. Other than Kubota’s glide shift transmission most of the power reserver units are higher horsepower tractors although there may be ones I’m not familiar with.

They aren’t pushing it it has a drivetrain the person just walks behind it to steer it. However, I’d bet it is a workout. 😜

I’ve seen and used two augers with tips like that. When the ground is soft they work, but they are not a desirable auger. The only thing is that is the only type of tip that will work on that auger. To switch to the screw tip you need to buy a different auger.

I don’t know what size your tires are but BTK makes the RT747 R4 tires that have a AG R1 tread pattern. They are a radial tire vs bias ply. Mine are 17.5/R24, so they are wide like how typical R4s are.

The Ford 917 calls for a banded belt and it works good as well as last for a long time.

Same basic thing as corn head grease. Its use in production combine heads proves it is a viable option. Farmers aren’t going use it if it doesn’t work at harvest time. I’m using it in an old Woods C114 belt drive bush hog.
