I would make sure all bolts are out (I see one still in place on left side where ground strap is) and lines are disconnected. Then take a thin chisel or thick putty type knife and drive it between the mating surface in multiple places and that should break it free. If not try a pry bar.

Not sure if that would allow you enough space to clean and reseal the opening below the lift housing between it and the rear axle housing. There are some YouTube videos done by a Canadian guy on rebuilding one of those series tractors. I think it’s a 444 that he did.

Looking good. 👍 I don’t know if the gas ones have a idler pulley with a bearing like the diesel 424/444 have, but mine has been through a couple of the bearings over the years. If it does have one now would be a great opportunity to check/change it out.

    TC33DA leaking hydraulic oil

For the TC 35, 40 & 45 the hydrostatic filter is on the left side kinda by the starter. This is a higher pressure filter so don’t just by an oil filter. The hydraulic filter is bigger and by the right rear tire.

What Attachment Scares You The Most?

Why keeping your fingers away from the knives when raising the cutter bar is the biggest operator issue. Critters on the ground is a separate matter. In reality the PTO shaft on any equipment warrants continuous respect.

Flail Mower Let's talk flail mowers

I bought a $100.00 Ford 917 back in 2009 and used it for years until the hood rusted completely out in 2020. I got another one to replace it too. Can you post a picture of the blades you are using?

L3301 Leak at Lines to Transmission Filter

Well replaced six orings and started it up and immediately it blew out two of the orings at the filter housing top port. However, I just used orings from a generic kit I had so NOT Kubota parts. On a side note it is missing the bracket that supports the filter so I think even with Kubota parts...

4 or 5 series JD trailer length?

Here is a picture of my TC45DA with my flail mower on a 18’ trailer (16’ flat & 2’ of dovetail). I would not get less than 20’ and likely 22’, so you have room to position it for the proper balance/tongue weight. Note a flail mower is way shorter than a bush hog.
  138. D

    Helper springs/ Airbags Etc.

You should run this load over a scale. You may find that you have too much tongue weight. With a 24’ trailer you should be able to balance that load very well. Air bags may help once you get the load balance correct.

  141. D

    Stump Grinder Bearing

I was given a free stump grinder but it doesn’t have any markings on it and no manual. Its front bearing retainer is broken and that allows the shaft to move to far forward and then the shaft comes out of the rear bearing retainer. The broken bearing retainer has FU210 in raised letters...

  143. D

    Fuel Filter TC45DA/ TC Series

Since the supply line from tank to filter was disconnected when I used a 18 volt tire inflator it would not have damaged the lift pump. I can fully believe that junk in the tank would cause it. The hose on a vacuum is a great idea thanks.

    Fuel Filter TC45DA/ TC Series

  145. D

New Holland TC45D won't start fuel supply issue

I have noticed my TC45DA surging at idle. So you think it is the lift pump causing the surging? I capped off the line from the top of the filter to the return line and now my fuel filter always stays full. I am going to try cleaning my fuel tank this winter.

    Tire pressure question

Bias ply R4 tires are really stiff. Mine with zero tire pressure after I drained the fluid out of the rear tires stiff supported the tractor. You see the tube I used siphon the fluid out. The sidewalls of my rear radial tires are so much softer than the bias tires were. When I let the air...

  155. D

Ford 3000 tractor telescoping lift arms

I haven’t, but the extendable 3 point arms on my TC45DA are the best thing ever IMHO. 😎 I want to add a set to my IH 424 if I keep it as they make hooking up 3 point equipment a very non-strain full event.

12’ Batwing - can my L6060 handle it?

The Woods and Rhino 12’ batwings rotary cutters list 35HP as their minimum, so if you’re at +50 a L6060 should work. If you’re in really steep terrain maybe it might push it around as they are +2000 pounds.

    Bull Bags? Thoughts

I wonder if anyone makes one of those type bags that has an opening down low to allow you empty it in a controlled manner and direct it to a specific location. What would be really useful is for it to be resealable. I could use them to buy bulk fertilizer or seed.
  159. D

    Trailer JD 3039R

I think your picture proves my point. If you had a 5’ rotary cutter on your 3 point your grapple would be at or beyond the end of the trailer. The result is you would have no way to adjust the load (forward or backward) in order to get the tongue weight needed.
  160. D

    Trailer JD 3039R

If you moving your tractor it needs implements to work with, so you need an even longer trailer. I have a 18’ trailer and it is too short. I would like to get a 22’ trailer with at least 5200 pound (= 10k trailer) axles at a minimum, 6k or 7k pound axles would be better. I have a 74” flail...

    unsynchronized tranny use?

The power reverser transmissions allow for clutch-less forward and reverse shifts at lower speeds for loader work. Other than Kubota’s glide shift transmission most of the power reserver units are higher horsepower tractors although there may be ones I’m not familiar with.

I’ve seen and used two augers with tips like that. When the ground is soft they work, but they are not a desirable auger. The only thing is that is the only type of tip that will work on that auger. To switch to the screw tip you need to buy a different auger.

    Flexible Fuel Hose 3/4” Dia

There are two ports on a 55 gallon drum one 3/4” and is too small for my pickup tube and too small for the nozzle where I get off road diesel. The other is 2” and it is used for filling the barrel and for drawing diesel fuel out for my tractor. I found some very flexible 3/4” hose at a...

Kubota LX3520HSDC - Tire options, Solid Tires?

I don’t know what size your tires are but BTK makes the RT747 R4 tires that have a AG R1 tread pattern. They are a radial tire vs bias ply. Mine are 17.5/R24, so they are wide like how typical R4s are.
