Cub Cadet Pro Z - Any Experience?

I demo’d a couple standard lap-bar ZT’s before trying out a steering wheel equipped Cub Cadet on my property and I totally agree. The steering wheel turns just as sharp and is just as maneuverable as the lap-bar setup. I still can’t believe I can make turns while mowing around trees on some of...

Cub Cadet Pro Z - Any Experience?

I was skeptical about Cub Cadet during my research. I looked at lots and lots of alternatives (Kubota, Bad Boy, Altoz, JD, etc). The steering wheel option promising better control, traction and stability is what persuaded me to purchase this mower. However, after experiencing the performance...

Trading in an almost new tractor?

Many times agreed. I thought the MX was HUGE at the dealership and then realized when I got home with my L, the MX wouldn't have been too big. However, in my case, I didn't have a place to store a larger tractor and didn't want to spend MX money....yet. Mike

Cub Cadet Pro Z - Any Experience?

I recently purchased a 2021 Pro Z 560 S KW. It is a fantastic mower! It’s built like a tank, great quality, delivers an amazing cut and is incredibly good on my steep hills and hillsides. I couldn’t ask for a better mower! I highly recommend it! Mike

Looking to buy a like new B2601

It’s a great tractor and worth the wait if you can’t find a good pre-owned example. I just sold my B2601 w/ 50 hours. It had everything you’re looking for minus the BH. It’s a crazy market right now, happy hunting. Mike

    Selling your Machine?

I just sold my B2601. I had it advertised in CL and Marketplace. The buyer found it on CL, however, I had another guy that wanted to come out at the same time from Marketplace. Had I waited just one more day, I would have sold it for more than my listing price. I had lots of interest. The...

Zero Turn w/ Kawasaki FX850v: Mowing RPM / Full Throttle?

^^^^ After posting this thread and getting excellent responses, I re-read my manual and it does state to engage the PTO at half throttle and run the mower at full throttle. Any idea of how close "Tractor House" prices are to reality?

I purchased my 2021 Kubota B2601 last year, owned it for 7 months, and sold it this week for what I originally paid new, minus sales tax. Had I waited just another 2 days, I would have received it all back, maybe a bit more with the offers that were coming in, after I had already agreed on a...

I visited my local Kubota dealer today to discuss a minor hydraulic leak on my new L2501 and pick up some supplies. While I was there I wanted to check out their current inventory on the lot. They had 2 Grand L’s, 3 standard L’s and 6 BX tractors (I don’t know if any, or all were pre-sold)...

Jeff9366 always shares wise advice! I haven’t found one post I disagree with. And, he is correct here too. For work, tractor weight is king! However, a smaller tractor can benefit from a turbo by increasing the PTO HP allowing the tractor owner to use larger attachments/Implements like, for...

    Sub-Compact/Compact Recommendations

I think when you begin exploring the cost difference between the machines you’ll find the better value in a sub-compact / small compact tractor. Sure, the X500/X700 will do what you need now, but, a tractor will do those tasks and many others for not much more money. I personally believe, in...

Pretty much agreed. For me, it was laziness (dealing with the hassle of removing and reinstalling the MMM) that lead to my 2 machine purchase, one tractor for mowing (B2601) and another for tractor work (L2501). Having the MMM attached while attempting other work besides mowing, is just...

This doesn't seem normal. I've never operated an L3901 but, even my L2501 will spin the tires in medium gear when engaging a dirt pile or removing stumps with the bucket. In 4wd and low gear, my L2501 has no problem spinning the wheels and digging 4 deep holes up to the rim. Mike

    Dazed and confused!

Good question. In my case, the Kubota L series consists of the L2501, L3301 and L3901. The only difference between these tractors are the engines (hydraulics and tractor weights are basically the same), cost and complexity. The L3901 can support many larger 3-Point attachments because of the...

I'd call the dealer and ask about the hours since you didn't know about them prior to delivery. However, as others have said, 12 hours ain't nothing to be concerned about as long as everything else on the tractor appears new. Mike

    Kubota L6060 Engine failure

This is a very unfortunate outcome. I am very sorry. I feel that Kubota should have assumed "some" responsibility for the failure. This outcome will be factored in my future purchase decisions and perhaps alternative brands will become more attractive down the road. Mike
  107. R

    Dazed and confused!

I’d love to get a definitive answer to your question. I’ve read that the L2501 simply has a detuned L3400 engine to the only thing they share is the engine block. Mike
  108. R

    Just pulled the trigger!

^^^^ That'll definitely help you out! Mike
  109. R

Choosing between sub-compact and compact options.

If you’re looking for something slightly larger than the BX, the B2301/B2601 would be great. Nothing wrong with Kioti or other brands/suggestions for your planned usage. Mike

New bx no fluid in front acle

Yep, I’d contact the selling dealer. Are there any visual signs of leaks anywhere on axle? Mike
  111. R

    3039R and Z950M vs L4060 and Z781-KWTI-60

I'm biased towards Orange. I simply just prefer the Kubota product, philosophy and implements over the Deere. However, I don't think you can go wrong with either option...both will have great resale if you ever have to sell/downgrade/upgrade. Mike
  112. R

    Just pulled the trigger!

Congrats! You’re gonna enjoy both the trailer and especially, the BX1880! Mike

    Goodyear/Titan r14t tires

Sounds like you got a great price! I have the R14's on both my L2501 and B2601. Great tire! They have really good traction on all surfaces and conditions, including snow. Mike
  115. R

    New 2021 L2501 incoming!

Thank you! I was curious about the seat belt. I mow my flat areas in 2WD and the hills in 4WD using my B2601 with the FEL removed. Mike

    New 2021 L2501 incoming!

    WC46 Chipper need an enema

^^^^ That's how I try to do it... but, I still have experienced a couple blockages. I probably have nearly 20hrs on my chipper. Sharpening the blades is probably a good idea. Mike
  118. R

    WC46 Chipper need an enema

^^^^ Yep, that's happened to me on a couple occasions. However, I think it is because I'm feeding bad stuff sometimes. I toss in branches with fresh leaves, needles, twigs...rotten wood...all kinds of good stuff. Mine seems to get plugged up with fir tree branches and soggy rotten wood which...

    New 2021 L2501 incoming!

Good to know. I too had stopped engaging the parking brake on the L2501 because like you, you really don't need it 99% of the time. However, I just started putting back on so I can train myself to stomp the brakes before moving the tractor. If I can get the muscle memory down, it'll become...
  120. R

    New 2021 L2501 incoming!

That's good to know. The L2501 seems to have enough torque to move the tractor that I don't even realize it is on, until I start to do some work. On the B2601, you can tell almost immediately. Mike
  121. R

    Tractor HP

It sounds like the L2501 would be great for your application, since you don’t have any requirements for the PTO. I recently purchased a L2501. I too was considering the L3301 and L3901 (among other tractors). One of my considerations was the emissions components...I didn’t want the complexity...

B2601: Removing Front End Loader without the Bucket attached?

^^^^ I’ll have to give that a try. Will the cement blocks be tall enough to mimic the dimensions of the loader and do you believe the loader will be stable enough on the cement blocks for storage purposes? Mike
  123. R

B2601: Removing Front End Loader without the Bucket attached?

I’m sorry it wasn’t a favorable outcome but, thanks for posting your experience. I thinking the best way to go will be buying the SSQA plate from eBay and mounting that plate to an object that will allow the loader to sit properly. Mike
  124. R

    New 2021 L2501 incoming!

Definitely enjoying the L2501. It’s doing all the heavy lifting the B2601 couldn’t quite manage. Mike

    New 2021 L2501 incoming!

Alright, I have made a "rookie" mistake, twice! I'm leaving the parking brake on! Luckily, not for very long but, I'm having a hard time getting used to the brake system on the right side. I'm so used to my B2601 (brake assembly on the left side) that I'm just failing to check the brake on...

Kubota L3901 HST vs. Kioti 4010SE HST Compact Tractor Pricing

^^^^ Shockingly, that too was my experience with Kioti... the comparable Kioti was more expensive than Kubota in my area. Interesting enough, I wasn’t originally considering Kioti. I was looking at JD, MF and Kubota. The owner of the company I work for has a Kioti. She loves it. Once she...

Subcompact Choice - Why Did You Choose Massey Over Other Brands?

This was also my experience with MF. Their customer service is very responsive and gets you in touch with your local dealer very quickly. Ultimately, I went orange but, the MF is a great tractor and I will consider them in the future. Mike

Kubota L3901 HST vs. Kioti 4010SE HST Compact Tractor Pricing

Congrats on your purchase! I recently received my new L2501 and luckily got in just before the 3% price increase. The L2501 is a great tractor! You're gonna love it! Plus, I agree. The Dealers in my area aren't motivated to discount much off MSRP. Why? Because supply is so low. I was...

    New 2021 L2501 incoming!

Thank you! My original concern regarding the L2501 seat was the seat cushioning and lack of armrests. Plus, my research on the L2501 before I purchased revealed that a lot of L2501 owners complain about the seat and it was one item that owners consistently talked about upgrading. So, that...

    B2601 vs kioti ck2610

The R14's which I have on both my tractors are an excellent "hybrid" choice for turf, snow and general traction (however, they can still damage turf when wet). Mike
  140. R

    B2601 vs kioti ck2610

^^^^ I have a B2601, great tractor! I use mine for mowing, lawn care and light property maintenance. More weight is generally a good thing to have depending on your plans. According to the plans you have listed, I don't think the extra weight of the Kioti will cause you any issues. Mike

I've been in the automotive business for over 19 years. Most of that experience has been at the dealer level, in parts and service. You are correct that the automotive parts and service don't care where the business comes from, I sure didn't! I wanted the business regardless of where the...

I'm not sure about that... Subcompact for hilly 3-acre

You're on a "hilly" property, I'd recommend filling the tires, period. It'll help with traction and stability. I wouldn't worry about the extra weight when removing and reinstalling them, it's all about technique. Mike

    Stihl KM 131R kombi review

    Stihl KM 131R kombi review

Absolutely. I have a push-trimmer (7hp) with heavy string (and a blade attachment). The heavy string can’t handle the vines and gets destroyed by the brush. Even the blade attachment for the push trimmer can’t handle it. The 131R with the mulching blade does it all! I’ll have to post up...

The Blade works exceptionally well. However, I’ve named it “the spinning blade of death”. Anyone downsized their tractor? Compact to CUT

The smallest I'd suggest for your application would be a B2601, but the B2650/LX2610 would probably be better for the size of your properties. As mentioned above, the sub-compacts only have 2-range HST. Mike

^^^^ Will do. I have the R14's on my B2601 and I really like them. Great traction on all surfaces, including snow. They're not bad on the lawn...as long as it is dry. They'll leave impressions if wet. I'll post up my impression on the L2501 R14's after some seat time. Unfortunately, I...

I wouldn’t trade my mulching brush cutter blade for anything on my 131R. It’s the best attachment I have and has cleared a TON of brush on my property. Still more to go....Luckily, I haven’t hit any windows or done any property damage. Hell, my neighbor has been so impressed with my progress...
