    Front Porch Security Options

Yep, happens here too. We've had more bad FEDEX drivers than good. And they change 3 or 4 times a year. We've had the same UPS driver for at least 10 years. I attribute this to FEDEX being contract drivers, UPS being employees.

Consumer Electronics Show 2021 - John Deere gets a couple of "Worst in Show" awards

Absolutely Murph. And it's our money that purchases the consumer goods that cost less because of the subsidies. It's a vicious circle that will never be broken. We have an example going on today in regards to fuel costs. The moment the government halted domestic production progress the price...

New L6060, what's wrong with my rear remote?

A couple thoughts. The single valve that comes standard on the tractor is a self canceling valve. It requires significant force to set the lever in the self canceling mode. It feels similar to a detent. It's on both ends of the lever movement. If the lever isn't set into the self canceling...

    Resolving self leveling dislike

All I know for sure is there's a LOT of geometry going on in the curl function of any FEL. A slight modification "here" might cause a dramatic change "there". I'm curious to hear the result of the mods being made.

What creates "bad diesel" fuel ?

The fuel pickup in the tank is in a fixed location. It pulls fuel from the same spot regardless of how full the tank is. Water is heavier than fuel so it's always on the bottom, where the pickup is. The benefits of keeping the tank full is less condensation. If the vehicle has an intank pump...

Good post. I originally loaded my rears on the JD2210 to add stability for mowing steep slopes. I only added 5 gallon per tire to keep the weight low. When we built our new house on this property that issue went away. Everything I mow is almost horizontal. So I drained the fluid to lighten...

Need some vapor barrier and insulation advice

I agree with snobdds. In this particular case I'd probably lean toward 3" of foam and forget the batts. Assuming 2x4 studs, you can't gain enough R value to be worth the labor of hanging batts over 2" foam. I would most definitely, absolutely spray foam a minimum of 2". This will seal a...

I had never thought about this so did some math regarding two of my tractors. JD2210 SCUT weighs 1800 lbs. I added 84 lbs of fluid. 05% of the tractor weight. Kubota M9540 weighs 10,500 lbs. I added 1,300 lbs of fluid. 12% of the tractor weight.
