I always grease gaskets on both sides. I don't hesitate to cut a gasket out of a cereal or cracker box. Done that many a time. If I find some good paste board, I keep it just for that.

I just made ears for the quick attach and kept it close to loader. Skinned all the mess off the bucket and bought a quick attach frame for it. We usually have extras around here anyways. Kept it real close. Works great.

I did have a Brown tree cutter. Tail wheel hinged up and pinned. Back of Bush Hog was spring loaded so you could back into a good sized tree. Had a push bar to help tree fall away from you.

Main thing with a Bush Hog. Turn the input shaft one time. If the blades turn two times, I'm in. Cheap ones will turn 1.5 times and won't cut good. 2:1 will cut grass good as well. I have done rough cutting clearing land, pipe lines, power lines, and right of ways. Tractors with belly...

Just put in neutral and start it and get it warm. Kill it, put it in low gear and drive against a tree or a stump with clutch pedal pressed down. Un stuck many. In a truck you can usually work the accelerator pedal and they'll pop loose. Tractors have too much gearing.

We welded ours where it telescopes (It don't fold) and bent some 1/8" steel for a top.

We have an old Mack that we got 10 years ago. It had sat for 5 years. Had about 400 gallons of fuel in it. Still runs fine on it. We got it to put a log loader on it. Other truck still held out so never used it until now. Seriously doubt it your fuel maybe you lost prime. I've cranked...
