    Regen Issues

I quit at the Kubota place when that started. They say dirty fuel or contaminated fuel. Get it running good and get rid of it. Out of warranty costs a bundle. They all had problems. Saw 100 hp cab tractors shut down with 18 hours on them. Took it all down, send to Tulsa for testing. Same...

My neighbor ww2, islands in Pacific, hated japs with a passion. Had over 1000 cows and thousands of acres. Bought a big JD cab tractor. Stayed in the shop, like 11 times in two years. Bought new. Finally told JD to just sell it. Neighbor, same fella, bought a 100 hp kubota and said it's...

It's just the green paint. Because under that green paint is a cheap machine. They are built just like the rest. Look at an old one then look at a new one. I'd take one of them old ones with the fuel tank in front of the radiator any day. You can't run fast enough to give me one with a...

Bio diesel in 1986 Ford 1910

I know people who have hauled their junk to the scrap yard because the bulk plant sold them biodiesel and didnt tell them. Save that bio and start brush fires or run heaters with. Old tractors with low injection pressures will run it. New things have 24,000 psi so it won't go long. Old...

    Why buy a Deere CUT?

Deere is no better than the rest now days. Nothing makes them stand out from the crowd. Variable cam timing has been fun to deal with. He finally drug that tractor out of the way and got another one. An old John deere will out last any new one they make.

    Mismatched tires?

Lift both ends of one side on jacks. Put in 4x4 with trans in neutral. Put a mark on top of front and rear tires. Piece of tape or whatever. Rotate tires a complete round and see how your tape looks in relation to each other then. Should be the same. Within a 1/4 turn is okay but no more...

No it makes it a different ratio. Even army trucks have an overrun clutch in transfer cases. Old WW2 stuff didn't but they break. Anything full time 4x4 has differential on each axle and one in transfer case because of this. If it is not full time you need to be careful with the part time...

Burning old kerosene in my 40 year old Yanmar?

I will burn it in a heartbeat. I use old diesel scrounged out of junk trucks on a regular basis. I burn motor oil in fuel. If I think it will burn when mixed with some fresh fuel it gets used up around here. So what if it has sludge, leave the sludge in the gas can.

    Another confused first timer

The main thing if you turn the drive shaft one time and the blades turn two times. Cheap cutters only turn 1 1/2 to 1 because gear reduction costs money. That's why some rear shredders or Bush hogs cut like a mower and some knock it over.
