crack the hose at the qc on the attachment side. either one is fine. if that doesn't fix it, remove both qc from the attachment and make sure they work disconnected. best, ed

Of course, if tank removal is easy, certainly not a bad idea, but not required. Generally there is a glass sediment bowl after the tank and prior to the filter. Just take the bowl off, and turn on the fuel, you should get "full stream" flow, if not issue is in the tank or petcock, if you do...

In general, make sure you have fuel flow. Havent piddled with a ford for a while...... remove sediment bowl and with petcock on make sure you have full flow. Usually it is in the tank or the lines just after. Failing that, post back and I will swing again, smarter others will weigh in as well...

Refill with recommended fluid for sure. Retracted cylinders is the best you can do short of some elaborate flush system. If the fluid has been contaminated, repeat instructions 3 times and call it good, if not once should be fine. Best, ed

Empty the reservoir with the cylinders retracted, refill to cold full. Mine uses ATF so check the correct fluid for yours. Fully lift and lower again, recheck fluid level. Check your manual to see if bleeding is required, I do not bleed mine, but, would hate to go against mfg. Best, ed
