    As far as getting the drum off, and your re-tapping for larger bolts, find a flat bar and drill holes in it that will match the distance between the holes on the drum.     I removed the top soil from the 1400ft abandoned logging road that had small trees and grass growing on it. It was very well built with ditches and hard packed. I had 5 loads of 3/4- tail dumped on it 6 inches deep 4 years ago and it's held very well.

    You are correct, I do have a root grapple. It's good for brush piles which I don't burn anymore because I chip the brush now. The forks can bunch up piles with out crunching it together which makes it easier to pick apart for chipping.

    Well Jeff, the kinetic ropes can look like the straps your referring to. I worked 34 years in mining and used kinetic ropes to pull out stuck 400 ton haul trucks. If they break, they fall on the ground. No way would that recovery crew use nylon straps.

    Not only Stihl. My 20 year old Yamaha generator wasn't running like it should. Checked the manual on plug gap and so forth and seen the spark arrestor maintenance schedule. The thing was almost plugged. Runs like it should now.

    Yep. One thing I found out is that I seem to look back with my pull type blower about as much as the standard type rear blower. My gravel road is uneven so adjusting the top and tilt is required. The only plus of driving forward is I can use the cruse control.

    Personally I would use the remotes. The remote levers are in a better position than the loader joy stick when looking backwards.

    I had a fiberglass canopy that I ran into road sign with. It flexed but the paint stayed to the road sign ..... As far as trailering with a canopy, I backed my tractor on my trailer and ran a rope over the flimsy end to tie it down. It made it 200 miles with no issues.
