    MF 1840M Thoughts

Any update on this? My 1835M hydro starts surging after it warms up. Its not the engine. Feels like its the hydro and more specifically the controller or pedal position sensor. If you rotate the speed limit knob back and forth while driving steady thats what it feels like. Been doing it on...

    1835 M Hydraulic issues?

Miande did you ever get this issue fully resolved? If you look at my post history i had the same problem stemming from 2021 when I picked up my 1835m hydro. I suspect it might be either a pedal position sensor or an issue with the electronic dial controls for speed and response. (Two dials...

    1835M Power Steering Concerns

I have an 1835MHC that I bought this past spring. It is used 80% of the time for mowing. I generally leave the loader off for easier trimming next to objects and only attach it when I need it. I have noticed that with the loader installed that my power steering loses quite a bit of power...

    1754 Hydro Pedals

Notified them this morning of the situation and waiting to hear back. They were really awesome to deal with through the buying process so i am confident they will help me figure this out.

Massey 1758 Hyro Transmission Oil Issues

stormcom, I think i may experiencing some of the same issues on my brand new 1835m. I have sourced some Kubota Synthetic THF locally for $105/pail. I realize you are a fan of the Chevron. Do you have any insight how they compare to each other? One other thought is that just changing the oil...

    1754 Hydro Pedals

Checked fluid level and its about 80% of the sight glass so it doesnt appear to be overfilled. Still had a bucking issue in reverse today while mowing. Only occurs after the tractor is good and warm. Only 7.5 hrs so i would hate to have to change the hyd oil already.

    1754 Hydro Pedals

I actually think i misunderstood the original post. My issue is the "bucking" in reverse after it gets warmed up. I have the front loader off of the tractor and maybe my issue is an overfilled hydro system. Especially if they filled with the loader in the air. Only way for me to check the...

    1754 Hydro Pedals

Onionfmr, I have a brand new 1 day old 1835M doing this exact thing. Noticed while mowing with MMM today that after a period it started to “buck” while reversing. Did you ever solve this issue? I checked all of my fluids before starting and it seemed that the hydro fluid was about 3/4 of the...

Victory Ditch Bank Flail or Bush Hog 216 Rotary Mower?

I realize you said there was issue using it with the quick hitch. Can you elaborate a little more on that? May be a deal breaker for me. As long as i can latch up with the quick hitch and use maybe half of the swing/offset i would be happy. The few times i would need more i could remove the...

    Three Point Hitch Function

Most tractors have an adjustable flow restrictor valve that regulates the down speed of your 3pt hitch. This allows you to adjust the down speed for different implements based on weight. If you close it all the way the 3pt will lock in the up position. That would be my first place to look.

    HP and Tier 4 question

I know that the Massey 1835M that i have on order is stage V compliant. Im not crazy about the reliability of emissions equipment but the tractor had everything else i wanted. I have not had the opportunity to research Stage V vs Tier IV Final. I know i have read that it has been implemented...

    Massey 2660HD rear brake issue

JWR, This has been very informative. Can you speak on the Lane Sharks ability to cut ditch banks and pond banks? Cut quality? Is it hard not to scalp without a roller or gauge wheel? Etc. Thanks!

On road diesel vs off road NO 2 red

The blending of #1 is not done at the station. Refineries in the cold weather states change their recipe for what they refer to as “winter blend”. This is to prevent gelling as you stated. They do this during the winter months and will revert back to a summer blend as temperatures allow in the...

On road diesel vs off road NO 2 red

Residual isn’t a problem in the truck compartments themselves. They are designed with a taper to the sump area and usually clean out very well. As tib stated you are talking very trace amounts getting diluted with large quantities of the next product. Where you may run into issues is on small...

    massey ferguson loaders

But on a more serious note that may be the first time I have noted the PRC version. Might be an ALO or AGCO stipulation? Almost slipped by me when I was initially looking over the tractor before I had an A HA moment.

    massey ferguson loaders

I guess they are "rebranding" themselves. 🤣

    massey ferguson loaders

Probably the most disappointing aspect of our 1835m on order is that the loaders were stamped "Manufactured in PRC". At least the two models on the dealers lot were anyway. Really impressed with the rest of the tractor and can not find the specs and features that I want in another color.

On road diesel vs off road NO 2 red

It is very likely that the off road fuel you purchased was a summer blend and the on road was a winter. Not so much to do with the fact that it was "offroad". The seller probably does not move as much off road and therefore had some leftover product from the warmer season. Key thing here for...

    New Massey 1835M owner

Scott, If you have any intention on any ground engaging work then you will not regret the shuttle. You will have more grunt to pull a plow, disc, even rippers on a box blade. Should also be a little more fuel efficient. Speaking of that I have a couple of questions for you. 1) How is your...

On road diesel vs off road NO 2 red

We own a fuel distribution business. Ultra low sulphur off road and highway diesel is the same here. The red dye is injected in the loading head at the refinery as the truck is being loaded. For a brief period of time years ago the sulphur content was higher in off road as they staged down...

Scott, Glad to hear you are enjoying your machine! I finally locked in my order and am hoping to be in the tractor sometime in April. Went with turf tires and MMM. I did test drive a shuttle and its a nice system. We have one on our 95hp Kubota and that is actually the main reason I...
