A wiring diagram would help but I doubt the relay has anything to do with lights. It is more plausible that in the process of disconnecting the switch and trying to use a jumper something is now shortened. I would look closely at the wires around the switch and behind the instrument panel.

I would not involve an attorney at this point. You definitely should ask for money back or maybe ask if you can swap for the 4820C since you liked your Branson. The dealer might be willing to help do that. Everything you mentioned is under warranty and they should be willing to work with you.

Welcome to TBN. Out of the models you listed and the task you have mentioned, I would go with the 4820. The main reason is it has the tightest turning radius out of the 3 and that would come in handy in the woods.

As long as there is not another valve with a pressure relief then the pressure would be the same. Of course it will be different downstream of the valve you are using for the test.

I really don’t watch it often as it is too far away from me while on the tractor to see. I do look at it when I lift my pallet to fuel the tractors as I am standing beside it when lifting. It takes about 1,800 PSI to lift that.

Is there just one wire on the solenoid? If so, it should only power up to turn the tractor off. If you have voltage all the time you could have a stuck relay. If this is the case you could remove the wire and see if it will start.

I am not familiar with the diverter set up on your tractor but do not cap off the PB port. That will cause your pump to dead head. I would suspect that the return on the diverter would be where the PB line would go and possibly there is another port somewhere that you could tap into for the tank...

There should not be much oil come out of that hydraulic line. I suspect you will have more motor oil spill than what would come from that line.

The hydraulic line is the path of least resistance but still don’t know what else will have to be removed to get the old one off. They tend to install filters dry at factories so it may put up a good fight. Unbelievable!

The tractor may have less hours than the meter shows. If the original meter quit working and was replaced with a used one with higher hours on it. No way to prove it either way. If the tractor runs good with no other issues I would just put it to work.

If you don’t want or need to adjust the tires out, you could just flip the lift pins of the mower over. Then the arms would attach on the inside of the mower lift frame instead of the outside. That should give you plenty of clearance. Then tighten the sway arms as mentioned above.

The range shift shaft #6 should be captured by the range shifter #2. When you move the lever it should slide the shift fork back and forth to move the gears. The top of the transmission will likely need to be pulled to see what is going on.

The Branson stereo was junk as well as the speakers. Upgraded mine and it is amazing the difference. I hardly listen to it but got it for the blue tooth hands free calling. But have listened to the music a few times now that it sounds good.

I definitely would turn it over by hand from the flywheel before putting a big battery on it. It is a common issue for Yanmar injection pump plungers to stick after setting up for a while.

I would suspect the injector pump rack will be seized and clutch most likely as well. The engine may need freeing up too. Definitely not worth $4,000 to me. $1,200 to $1,500 at the most.

One hose feeds the backhoe. One hose is the return to tank. And the third hose is power beyond that feeds 3pt and remote valves. When you have the backhoe disconnected you need to loop the power hose to the third hose.

It is possible but if it is tight then it should work just fine. Do you know how much of the splines are in the arm? Should be more than half way at least. If it is, I would not worry about it.

I think it will come back down. It will be harder to do with it off the pump.

How tight are you tightening the nut? When you remove the nut can you you remove the pitman arm with you hands? That nut should be really tightened down. I normally use an impact wrench on those. The arm should require a puller to remove.

That is the suction line for the pump. Whatever you hit bent it up so you should be able to bend it back down so it is more in line. You do not want a leak there as it will pull air into the system.

How are trying to seat it? It should be tapered and the nut should seat it enough when you tighten it up.

Maybe a rubber mallet? I would imagine the retaining clips and the O-rings would hold it in place pretty well. Should take a good wack to move it I would think. But I would inspect the clips closely to make sure it is open on the end to allow it to slide to the left.

I still would get a loader. You will be surprised how often a second loader comes in handy. I have the forks on one and the grapple on the other 90% of the time.

We will not install one without a filter. Even if the customer purchased the machine. But the condensers need to be cleaned. We also run a cleaner through the head that cleans where the ice forms.

Glad you are letting the dealer handle this. Ask them to service the PTO and check oil in gear box while they have it. They can grease it up for you and make sure it is ready for use. This should be done every season. Hang in there and rely on others to help you with this kind of stuff.

So that shaft should have a shear bolt located under the plastic shield where it connects to the mower. Is this where the handy man thought the noise was coming from? If so, I would think it has sheared and the shear bolt needs to be replaced.

Right now I am suspecting a shear bolt or slip clutch but don’t know which it has.

If you have tested the stop solenoid removed from the pump and it works when key is switched to off then the problem likely lies in the IP. The rack could be sticking enough that solenoid is not able to move it but the mechanical stop will.

I have a hard time believing it to tell the truth. It is rare for a main seal leak even with cheap seals unless it is installed wrong or damaged on installation. Pretty tight tolerance on modern engines.

I think the PTO being engaged without any thing attached did not cause any of the issues that you described. Perhaps it was low on fluid or filter was clogged?

Clutches normally don’t fail like that. It normally will start slipping in higher gears first. Sometimes an adjustment will help then but usually it is too late by then. Did you try it with FWD engaged?

Did it stop all at once or have you noticed it slowing in higher gears? Also, did you stop then it would not go again or were you in gear moving and it suddenly stopped?

With a blade I would work it the same way as the rake except when I get the shape and fall to the water where I wanted it I would turn the blade around backwards and drag it with no angle. That usually will make a very nice finish.
