Insulation of sound is quiet complex and costly since that takes lots of engineering. The bigger brands tend to do that since they have larger staffs and charge more for there machines. Doesn't have much to do with number of cylinders.

We have a dedicated can for mixed fuel that does not look like straight fuel cans. One of these.

Its about friction. Its like towing your atv or truck out of mud, that is it takes more power than the weight of the machine to get it out. In this case, attaching kid sleds to the pods creates less friction than trying to spin the tracks.

I worked with three machines in a XC system for 20 years and each machine got around 300 hours per season. When we had a machine breakdown in the field, we basically lost 8 hours of trail work, that is keeping the ski trails up. Having a tow machine break bit! :LOL:

We have been clearing trails for many, many years but at the point, I have a wrist that no longer likes doing that. We have to switch to a tractor but we have used them on trails in the past. The rear hydraulics would be for a 3 point mower, or back blade. Front is for a grapple.

I do love this mower because of its near silent operation, no engine warm up, you can get off and leave it and makes no difference. The only moving parts is three electric motors. Still does a fine job mowing the yard. Not fuel cans to worry about.

The water is passing through it. If you don't give high water a durable way to pass through it at high water, you'll have a complete washout. Similar to this photo but using a culvert for your overflow. Its a emergency spillway in the drawing.

So if we get this tractor, it needs a grapple and the hydraulic lines to the front added to operated it. Plus have the front axle grease changed and those suspect bearings tested. With only one hydraulic circuit to the rear, does another need to be added? Also watching for a 4 series JD but...

I few better pics of the Kubota L5740 I took today. I looked for oil leaks and scratches from hitting things and found none. Kinda hard to believe this machine is about 15yo. Dearest says I need to be IN A CAB after looking at the property we need to clear.
