Hello everyone, been a while since I stopped bye. I need some help as usual. How complicated is matching up a Kubota seat with my LK3054 seat mounting area?
There are way too many choices on line with no way to know if any of the holes will match up. I figured Kubota cuz there are many more...
While I'm not a seasoned pro I've had Kioti for several years and can dig holes and get a buck of dirt.... many times it's just about full. Sometimes not, depending on the dirt I'm in.
What I'm hoping to get a handle on is How much bigger. I will most likely buy used and try to find something...
So far thumbling around in the manual I haven't found its location. I'd mentioned to a fellow tractor driver that my backhoe wasn't digging very well. He said check the hydraulic system filter. In the manual under trouble shooting it mentioned the transmission oil filter. His tractor is a good...
I recently got a Kioti KB2376 operators manual from ebay. It's a 2004 edition. I has parts numbers and exploded views for many of the components. Near the end of the operating instructions for the B H, is says, boom and swing control levers and bucket and crowd levers can all move...
I noticed the bucket teeth look very dull and rounded. My back hoe model is K B 2376, when I called dealer in Texas he didn't have teeth for my back hoe. My teeth look like it would be very difficult to remove them. there is a hole iin the side of each tooth that looks like it has a pin in it...
I keep forgetting to ask about this. Sitting that the B.H. controls the right stabilizer will not raise the tractor enough to level it in some situations. It's has always been the weak side. Currently there are two low level leaks in the system. One probably originating in the stack valve area...
Is it possible to get something with suspension that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. I'm not sure if one of those would leave enough room to sit in that tiny area. But I guess I can dream.......
Ron
I don't see a private messaging area here, so at the risk of arousing the vigilanties I'll be direct. I want to install an on off switch to replace the ignition switch. I need some help with the circuitry. I'm assuming there are other functions that use the ignition switch. There must be some of...
I have misplaced my Owner's Manual. It's been about a month so I thought I'd ask if anyone has an extra one. I'd buy it for sure. I've seen a manual for an LK30. Does anyone know if that one would be useful as a substitute? I'm guessing that's an older model than mine. Is there a Kioti parts...
Kioti Lk3 54 Workshop Service Repair Manual – Best Manuals
At the above website they are selling service manuals [.pdf file] for download.
Has anyone tried their manuals? How are the graphics? Just wondering if they are legit. I have misplaced my Owner's Manual and ran across this site while...
Are these intended to be left on all night? if so are there other options to heat the colling system and block quicker w/o damage to oil or cooling system?
Thanks for your time.
Ron
Hello everyone, Been trying to read up on heaters for cold morning tractor starts. I learned some things but no one mentioned what I want to know. I'd like something that can do the job in less than an hour if possible. We live off grid so that probable amount of wattage is a concern. Depending...
Hello, I'm having trouble with my blue wire connection in the vacinity of the shutoff switch. I don't see how it's supposed to connect in this area. It's almost like something that should be there fell off It's been a while since I replaced this part and I can't remember how it is accomplished...
During my quest for info on the drain plugs under the transmission, it was mentioned that the two cases on the inside each rear wheel would also get new hydraulic fluid. A buddy who is a heavy equipment mechanic for Lincoln County, thought they should get 80w90 like my front axel. Which of these...
Does 265W134B seem like the right number? I've never ordered this part before. It's a canister w/large nut head on the bottom. I sez re cartridge, clean or replace. I may have to be clean untill I can get a realistic number. NAPA where I get Kioti's oil filters can't cross it to another number...
During my first transmission/hydraulic oil change I removed two of the three drain plugs with out taking note of which went where...... mostly because I hadn't noticed that one was longer than the other. It is at simple as [ it's usually not ] the longer one will not go in far enough to start...
The title says it all. With 2 high and two low in front perhaps a lower Lumen rating might work there. What's a good ball park figure for a pair?
Thanks,
Ron
What should I be thinking about when one side of a movement loop works faster than it's opposing side.?
So far I have not seen a subject in the topic pulldown menu that relates to anything I want to ask. A tractor minus hydraulics isn't much better that a team of mules. Yet there is no mention...
`besides dropping a flair inside...
I bought some very near worthless jerry cans and need to return them. If the Jerries had had these cans as their only fuel cans we'd have gotten everyone back here to begin the baby boom a few years earlier. The seller expects there to be no fuel smell in the...
Does anyone know what might be wrong when I mover the lever that raises and lowers the hitch and nothing happens. I have never done anything since I got it but I didn't use the 3 pt. then. Now I need it and would like to know where to begin finding what's wrong. There is no pump sound when I...
Has any one done this. I'm guessing they are currently like pre LED car bulbs. They build these for midgets and I often bump the switch w/my knee when I part the tractor and don't notice it till later. I'm not a large person. 5' 11 168 lbs. I have not priced this type of light yet. I only just...
I had to jump start Kioti today. I'm thinking the batt. is proabably toast. What should I look for in amp hours and general quality. Mine had an Interstate batt. Does it matter if you get the correct rated battery. How would I Know if a given batt. was any good. It's the claimed life of the...
I was told by a kioti dealer I needed 1/8 inch pipe threads, this is not correct. The portion of the zerk that looks like a bolt head is METRIC not SAE, Weather or not there are metric pipe threads remains to be seen.
Is there anyone who still has an LK 3054 BH FEL who knows the size of the...
My hoe is mod. KB2376 serial #50228436
I need some grease fittings. I'm assuming these are metric I had a brass one on the pivot pin of the bucket and part of the mating surface is missing. Probably from clearing snow and backing up the steep bank to turn around. I probably ran it into to a...
Being of frugal...STINGEY German stock I sometimes run Kioti at about 1200 rpms when digging out rocks that are not very large. This is just enough to make the controls responsive. Someone told me once that the hoe should be run up near max rpm from the motor or undesirable chemical changes...
that's pretty much it. I'm looking at a Valve with BPS or NPT ports. My back hoe Model is KB 2376. I still don't know how to tell someone what kind of hose I need. I found out there is a guy 26 miles away who can make them up. The serial # of the hoe is ... I just noticed I have 2 dashes at the...
But I still need to find a valve and possibly a divirter to run the cylinder on a 6' rear blade on a Kioti LK3054 BHFEL. I saw a valve on a northern tool page
Can any one say if this valve will do the job on it's own. What about attaching hoses to the ftgs on this directional control valve? Do...
It's been several weeks since I got any kind clue that there were replies to my posts. I only find out when I visit the site. and yes I have the the feature enabled. There is no way that I can find to contact the forum owners. I guess they are following corporate modles of aloof-ness.
Ron
Got the blade today. Looks like they don't mind putting good amounts of steel in the right places. I will trust for now it's the right kind of steel in the right place.
So, I came with one hydraulic cylinder so I need two free hoses to hook up. I am assuming when I remove the back hoe It will...
They would be the kind with the big chevron sorta, cleats. Mine are probably still a half inch up from the tire body but well rounded from the scrubbing that occurs during use. How close to the tire body can they get before they no longer support the rear tires well enough?
I'm afraid to ask...
Every time I have to start Kioti in below freezing temps I fret over the practice of heating oil with my battery. Ignorance is part of this. I don't know how much of a drain it is to keep that element glowing for 40 seconts or so. Sometimes it takes three attempts to get going. I was told this...
I learned a lot moving the snow that had us snowed in for 3.5 days. I was so impressed with kioti's engineering in this situation. Going out the first day I worried a little about moving snow on a steep switchback with a very long way down and a steep bank on the back up and turn side. It felt...
I'm looking at a Land Pride RB3772 rear blade. I weighs 640 lbs w/added hydraulic cylinder. Will my three point hitch lift it w/o getting a hernia?
Thanks for your time.
I've spent a fair amount of years working at ski areas. The consensus there was the colder the snow the better the traction. I just had a guy with several tractors and backhoes tell me the exact opposite. I went back out to try his idea an hour or two after noon. Solely from my experience it was...
Hello, I need to find a temperature sending unit for Kioti. It's at the back of the block near the fire wall. Gage works but no temp reading.
I also need a repair manual or a parts manual, are they different items?
Ron
Hello, I've been looking at a few blades for my 3054. I've seen a few with hydraulic cylinders on them but they were pretty large blades. I don't know the size or weight limit for blades on tractors this size. Does anyone know of a blade my tractor will handle that has it's own cylinders for...
I like the idea but haven't tried it yet. Soap makes me wonder about residue after the rinse. Naptha sounds ok initially but can the naptha be used more than once if you run it thru a filter? Plain water might be ok if there was a way to vibrate the bucket. Now that I think about it, our access...
It is not helpful to be in the middle of a problem and have to sign in to yet another fear window just to be able to petition some one to find why my posts aren't being posted. How could I be on the help page if I hadn't signed in?
I posted twce about problems with Legacy grease guns. They...
After all, how you going to lode it if it's locked! It's ok I get it, they aren't selling tennis rackets.
Seems like a great feature and I went for it because of the 10k lbs pressure since I was having some trouble with a zerk on the front knuckle. The company is great about sending replacement...
Is it possible that there are common parts used in Asian compact tractors. The guy who came to take a look a my leaking hydrolic area on my backhoe spoke of ordering an O ring kit to fix the leaks. He wasn't speaking of a Kioti kit. He doesn't know from kioti he just knows tractors and heavy...
The back hoe model number is 1440. I'm in New Mexico equidistant from El Paso tx and Albuquerque. Can anyone suggest a source near me. There was a dealer in Las Cruces but it died. The kit is for the valve set in the compartment below the Joysticks. There is a low level leak there. I found ref...
Thought I'd try this over here I saw one of these years ago perhaps as a diagram. My well casing is 2" steel and I need to raise the sucker rod about 8 to 12 inches to see if the threads on the joint are history or not. The pics online these days are so small an 8 year old couldn't decipher...
I saw one of these years ago perhaps as a diagram. I well casing is 2" steel and I need to raise the sucker rod about 8 to 12 inches to see if the threads on the joint are history. The pics online these days are so small an 8 year old couldn't decipher them. Can anyone point me in the right...
In the thread on front and rear tire differences, old age and cracking were mentioned. Is it worth the trouble to cover them when not in use. This is much of the time depending on season and weather. I have cut up a heavy old tarp to make covers for the back wheels. I'm guessing they are a bit...
Anyone know if most people always use 4 WD or just when needed? A possible answer just came as I finished the first sentence..... they might take some of the load, stress, wear from the more expensive back tires. I'm still very inexperienced on this area sorry for all the questions.
Ron
My back tire tread is around a half inch deep. They look like normal AG tires and are about 40" high maybe 16 wide. The lugs have pretty well defined edges all around. The fronts and very rounded on the edges. Should I be concerned about this? I'll have to check but I think the front breaks loose...
My whizbang tractor mechanic replaced a part that moves the shifting mechanism inside the trans. I got it back with one inch of pedal travel at which the clutch is fully engages. Then I discovered I cannot get in to low range anymore. Here's the strange part, for me anyway, the high/low shift...
After some work on my transmission I noticed the clutch is very different. Mechanic says he did nothing to the clutch. I suppose that's possible but the clutch is fully engaged at about 1 inch of pedal travel. At 16 or 1800 on the tack that's approaching whiplash. There is about a sentence or so...
The linkage to the shifting fork died. Had it repaired. The clutch engages in the first inch of pedal travel.... WHIPLASH! It wasn't like this before the repair. Mechanic said he changed nothing concerning the clutch. How to I make the clutch engage like it used to, which was pretty much like...
Had some work done on kioti The shift lever broke a bolt the attaches it to the yoke. But now the clutch engages in the first inch of pedal travel. whiplash city. How hard is it to adjust the pedal travel? Or is it done by adjusting the clutch itself.?
Thanks for your time.
Ron
I'm not really a welder I just have some of the stuff cuz I live in the boonies. Looking at helmets, the specs are all over the place and in different formats. I'm not much of a math guy. There is a spec of 0.1ms on a 3M Speedglass v100, I've seen 1/20,000th of a second, and 1/25.000. Isn't...
I have been waiting for a month for a square O ring that is called a `dust something or other' for the left spool on my KB 1440 BH's joystick. Mechanic said to rebuild both but I fear that they are too greedy to make parts for a 2006 LK 3054 since nothing is happening on the odrer. The mechanic...
The owner's manual says Mobilfluid 423. All I can find is 424. Is there a more common identifier for the correct trans. oil for an LK30? Does Walmart have an equivalent that you don't have to take out a loan to buy? 424 was @80buks for 5 gal I need seven.
Ron
This was a very bad day. On the way to see about this leak..... driving it to a near by friend/tractor owner with mucho experiende in heavy equip/construction. The shift lever took a vacation and no longer shifts gears. This on a tractor with supposedly 156 hours on it when I bought it! It now...
Shifting from fourth to third for a small hill the lever moved all the way to the dash. Tractor remains in 4 gear. Lever moves freely now, up, down, back and forth and does nothing. How do I fix this please?
Ron
I'm fairly sure that a box blade can do more things than a rear blade. But I don't know how to evaluate the box blade quality/price point over a cheaper rear blade. I would want a rear blade that can do more than grade suburban gravel driveways and clean stock pens. My soil can be hard when it's...
I was looking at some rear blades @500.00. Everything attachments has some that are quarter inch moldboard with a steel blade on the bottom. It's a 3 pt. blade that swivels. Has anyone used one of these blades or know if my caution is well founded.
Ron
I was told kioti was a 2006. My fuel gage no longer works. Looking at the wiring diagram I'm wondering if anyone speaks kioti well enough to know what a Panel Board is. Supposedly the blue and red wires from the fuel gage go there. THis drawing does not convey the idea that it is a fuse panel. I...
Hello kioti lovers!! Lately I've been noticing that I often have to turn around and raise the main boom of the hoe. It's drooping some about every 10 minutes or so. The area under where I sit to run the hoe is wet with oil and dust but not dripping.
So here are some questions. How do I locate...
Which ought be in the specs page. Perhaps I've missed it. Searching was not helpful
I need a tooth bar for LK3045, I'm assuming when I look at lift rating that it's in 1500 lb area. Some of the TB companies list their bars in lift categories. I'm looking the the Long site and some others. My...
As I use kioti I learn something everyday. At 50 hours of time in the seat the only way is up. In a few months or years I might make a good operator. But I don't use it every day sometimes not every week. So I'd like to know if any one knows of Useful/helpful videos with information on using FEL...
I need a few grease fittings for the main pin housing for the BH bucket. I don't know the correct nomenclature but it's the pivot point the bucket rotates around. It's in a dumb *** place and made of the tin foil equivalent of brass. I bet they used 10 different FELs and it's different on every...
It's probably 60 years old and the hose is cracking, it still works and I want to keep it. I took it off and went to NAPA to get a replacement but the threads are different now. Either my gun had pipe threads or all the new ones do. Would there be adapters which would allow me to change to the...
With a 30 horse motor will I be glad I got a tooth bar or not? I'm thinking, with just 50 hours or so under my belt, that having one will make it easier to dig in hard dirt/rocky/clay/sandy soil. But I don't have a lot of practical knowledge on stuff like this.
I'd almost given up on the FEL as...
Last nite I copied some oil filter numbers for Kioti:
NAPA 1207
Purolator L 1459
Baldwin6742
I realize it's possible I got all of them wrong or the Napa guy was an idiot? short of that I need some better numbers.
Today at NAPA none of these numbers were any good. Well the napa number...
Probably about 4' wide. I haven't ever measured the loader bucket and it's raining right now. OK rain stopped it's 61 inches. Did some poking around Kubota has one that looks interesting Piranah. Are there brands to stear clear of?
Ron
I know where it's not. Not behind the instrument panels. My fuel gage is not working reads empty all the time. It's not of course. The pic in the manual is a cruel joke. It is impossible to tell where it is if you don't already know. kioti is a 30 horse LK series BHL. Thank you for your time.
Ron
Hello I haven't posted for a while. I noticed a 2 conductor black wire dangling on the right side [from driver's seat] of kioti, a black red and a yellow. It's two counter parts are near by under the right foot plate. Does polarity matter? The two male connections are both red. These two reds...
Hello.... Not sure what it's called but the fiber glass or plastic canopy on my Kioti's roll over bars.... I've lost a few pieces of the thing here and there and wonder what's the best method for repairing the damage. I have most of the pieces so maybe some fiber glass tape and some epoxy...
Tires on my Kioti, [ 30hp FEL/BH ] are pretty new. A. should I keep covers on the tries? It does not have any kind of shelter. I live in New Mexico so they see plenty of UV every day. Altitude is near 7k feet.
B. What long lasting material would you make them out of if you could make some?
Ron
The guy I bought the tractor from said its very simple to remove the backhoe. That's all I know except to be sure to disconnect the hydraulic hoses prior to driving away. I do not have a level slab to do this on. Thinking about doing it, it seems it's important that the bh doesn't settle or it...
The place where I park kioti is not level. But it's oh so shady, `Realized the mistake after draining the oil. So I went ahead with the new oil and filter. I measured out 6 quarts and a bit of change for the .1 part. I have oil in the view port at about half way up. But the oil light stayed on...
I don't understand your new search device, If I type kioti in the the title of the search I don't expect to find posts on Cases or JD or farmalls. They might be fine tractors but I need to know about my oil gage not theirs. Seems like putting quotes or kioti in the search string should keep the...
Are there any other bh buckets that have similar hole patterns to ours. I'd like to get a used 9 inch bucket if I could find one. There are places where there is clay in the soil but for the most part it's more sandy. I'd like something more narrow than the LK30 stock one for ditches. I do have...
Hello, is this a good idea for a DIY dirt hauling trailer to use w/kioti? Some one is giving me an old truck axle. Don't know the make yet. I want to be able to use the loader bucket to tow, and raise the tongue to empty the trailer. I figure the truck sized tires and some suspension should get...
Anyone besides me hate setting on vinyl. Anybody ever try those wood bead seat covers? What else easy is anyone using. I folded up a towel but too much hassle moves all over the place and the wind like to play with it when I get off.
Finally got my manual. So now I can begin servicing it. Are...
Is is a bad idea to put a tackle box sized box on one of the fenders? I'm new enough to all this I might be missing something. I'm still waiting for the owner's manual to arrive.
Ron
I'm sort of in metric socket limbo since most sets would duplicate what I already have. I have a set of wrenches that stops at 15mm. And a 3/8 socket set to 19. I guess I need to buy them individually if I need other sizes. How large should I go for most maintenance tasks on Kioti?
Once major...
I've seen a skilled BB operator in action and was amazed at the changes he was able to make in pitch and grade on an arroyo crossing. Can a skilled FEL / backhoe operator match the speed and effiency of a bb on road work? I think I know the answer because of the tilt or angle changes you can do...
I'm not sure if I got the jpegs uploaded correctly. They don't yet appear in my msg. The owner said all hydraulic cylinders have some of this type of misting.
I don't see ANY mist collecting near any of the other cylinders. No obvious leaks anywhere. The this non leaking worries me.
Also how...
I spoke with a dealer in Las Cruces N.M. He told me that all the tractors in the LK30 series are pretty similar excluding some upgrades to those models. Can anyone verify? I was asking because of the kioti shop manual page on ebay. I posted a link my previous post today. They are 9.99 plus...
Did a search on ebay. Got this page.
kioti tractor | eBay
kind of a snarly url but there are many many Kioti shop manuals for 9.99. The seller told me these are not scans but a factory release. Time will tell but it's worth ten bux and 3.50. shipping it's an extra buk if you are in canada...
Reading late at nite I came across quite a few threads about the manual for these things. I will get an owners manual w/my 3054 in a few days but is it worth the trouble and bux to get the shop version. Thanks sorry for all the questions.
Ron
In other words, I'm trying to learn more about my Kiot, out here the locals drop the last letter of coyote. I'd like to know if there are other models that are fairly similar to mine. It's an 04 or 06 I forget. I don't know how much the year matters. Are there many engine and general design...
`got a 3054 XS O4 or O6, how do you tell who made the add ons. Which ones suck? I haven't got the owner's manual yet. The guy forgot to bring it w/the tractor. Is that info in there or maybe the service manual maybe. Thanks for all the great info from the members.
Ron
Did a search back to 05 read all the posts. Zerks on these things sounds like a chinese clusterf**k. I remember from a very early watching my grandfather grease his 48 used Farmall. He'd wipe the zerk, grease and wipe. That always stuck with me.
But is there yet a diffinative answer yet on...
At least he won't eat the chickens, yippiekioti muth........ well you get the idea.
I also found out that the XS means it's a commercial version of the 3054. 152 hours, much of the last one was me trying to get a rock in the bucket.... pitiful, demoralizing. I finally just got off the tractor...
Kioti LK3054XS '06 180 hrs. Backhoe w/loader. Comes w/three point hitch stuff, 30 hp. Very good shape, Is this a fair price? Include deliverys and tractor tutorial. Also how do these older designations match up with the newer models letters and numbers. What does XS mean? Thanks for listening.
