Finally Need My Warranty and LS Is Not There! BEWARE!

I absolutely love my LS MT125!! My friends with the orange and green machines will admire the differences in the LS line compared to theirs. My tractor is 5 years old now and I have had absolutely NO problems with this machine at all. But last week I had a front tire that was losing air so I...

LS MT125 Rough Cold Start - Glow Plug Issue?

This is the third winter with my MT125 and we've had some cold mornings lately. A couple of weeks ago I did my usual first/cold start procedure - glow plugs for about 8 seconds and fire it up. This one morning I thought the engine was literally going to jump out of the chassis. It hammered...

    MT125 Front Axle Loose

My MT125 is a year and 10 months old and has 100 hours on it. Today I am doing the two year service on it of changing the engine oil and engine coolant. While I was removing the oil filter I happened to hand roll a front tire and I heard a clunk! I have kind of heard this before when I'm...

Counter weight size question - Is there a way to calculate the correct weight?

I've had my MT125 now for two and a half years and it's been a great machine. I have the LS backhoe on it and that weighs about 700 pounds and is a great counter balance. But I soon discovered that when I was trying to push snow with that on the front end was too light too steer on the ice...

    Pivoting Draw Bar Attachment Question

I have a model 800 Ford tractor. The draw bar is missing but the support bracket is still on the tractor. I got under the tractor today and dug the mud and debris out of what appears to be the attaching point for the draw bar. I can buy a new draw bar from Steiner's but I gather a pin fits up...

Trying to date my 800 tractor.

My new to me Ford 800 tractor I was told was a 1958 but a sharp eye questioned that and on closer exam of the numbers I had a 860 which would make it before 1958. So I assumed it was a 1957. Well today I really start looking at the the serial number and between the two parallelograms was what...

    Ford 800 lever question

What is this lever for? When I push up or down on it I can hear the oil pump go to work and my three point won't work for a minute until is "seems" like it builds up pressure again. Just haven't figured out this lever. Thanks for your help.

'58 Ford 800 Transmission oil level requirements

I just inherited a very nice '58 Ford 800 with the five speed and live PTO option. The tractor has a loader on it that works fine and everything seems to work well except the 3 point hitch. In close inspection of this tractor it appears there are three big plugs on top of the transmission...

MT-125 Engine Oil Filter Replacement Issues

Well I finally have 50 hours on my little tractor and it's time for that service. So I remove the loader and hood, dump the oil and remove the filter. My local LS dealer is a very small tractor dealer and did not stock the filter. So with the part number he sends me to my local auto supply...

    Is this enough counter weight?

Well today I finished my "heavy hitch" for my MT125. I used front wheel weights and a commercial 3 point receiver hitch attachment to build this. I took a piece of 2"X2"X3/16" box tubing and welded a cross piece on the end to hold the wheel weights. Now I have two 65 pound weights, two 100...

How much 3 point counter weight for the MT125

This is an old question and I have seen it addressed with bigger LS machines but I'm asking this specifically for the MT125 and the LB1107 loader. I have the backhoe and it weighs just over 700 pounds and it is truly the ideal counterweight. But as I have read from others that is a lot of...

Lisa finally puts her MT125 to work

Well I have owned my tractor for six months now and have 30 hours on it. Pushed a little snow with it but today I got the buckets dirty for the first time. My neighbor wanted a burn pit in his back yard so I dug a 6' X 8' X 2' hole for him. I was very pleased with the power of the machine...

Hydraulic System Filter Question - 20 micron or 30 micron?

The other day I stopped into my LS Dealer and picked up the HST and Hydraulic System filters. He looked up the numbers and walked back to his shelves and pulled the HST filter in a LS Box with an LS marked filter inside. Then he walked over to a fresh UPS delivery of LS parts in a big LS box...

Difficulty reconnecting hydraulic lines on backhoe on MT125 Tractor.

My LS MT125 is brand new with 28 hours on it. When I first got the tractor I practiced removing the loader and the back hoe and the hydraulic lines disconnected and reconnected with out any difficulty. Well I removed the hoe and parked it for about two months inside while I used the tractor to...

    MT125 LS service bulletin CS18-002

Last week I receieved a phone call from my dealer advising me of a "recall" service bulletin on my Yanmar engine. Apparently as these engines are being built for various applications the lower coolent drain had a 3/8" hose bib on it that was capped with a rubber cap. I would guess in some...

Split pipe on cutting edge of my MT125 for pushing snow.

I was admiring the snow plow that "Smoreau" built and I did not want to hijack his thread, but there I read a suggestion by "bp fick" about putting a piece of pipe on the cutting edge for pushing snow to keep the edge from catching on cracks and raises on a asphalt or concrete driveway. Well I...

Belly Pan/Skid Plate for LS MT125?

I don't have a MMM to protect the goodies under my tractor from getting hit by something. I saw a great Youtube on protective belly pan for the BX series Kabota's and thought that would be neat for my MT125. Just checking if anyone has seen one.

What's a good engine idle speed for a small Yanmar "80" diesel engine?

As I am enjoying my new LS MT125 and all the projects of minor modifications, little fixes and just making the tractor my own. I am curious if the 1350 rpm idle speed is a good speed. I have the factory service manual for this tractor and engine but it does not address engine idle speed or how...

Can you identify a hydraulic control valve with a float position visually?

I have a six spool hydraulic control valve on my back hoe. It is supposed to have a float position on one of the spool valves and I believe I have identified that position because it has a longer "cap" at the bottom of the valve and at the end of the spool. I "believe" this longer cap houses a...

MT125 Backhoe owners question - Do you have a boom float?

I was studying the owners manual for the LB1107 backhoe on my MT125 and on page 14 under "Backhoe Operation" and "Boom and Swing Controls" it states that if you "push the lever fully forward into the detent position, allows the boom to float. The boom can drift up and down without pressure"...

LS MT125 Bucket Level Indicator - with pictures

As most of you that have read my posts know, I have a brand new MT125 TLB. I have 10 hours on it now and 9 of those have been in the shop practicing digging with the backhoe on my cement floor. I also had the tractor running getting the backhoe on and off on the dolly I made for the hoe. My...

Mslisaj Removes Loader, Backhoe and Hood On Her New MT125 Tractor - Pictures

Well for me to get to know my new tractor today I took off the loader, backhoe and removed the hood and engine side panels. I also made a carpeted deck cover for the backhoe where I put my feet. This carpet is reversible with a rubber back side if I'm working in mud. Either side cleans with...

Has anyone ever considered an emergency air shut off for your diesel tractor?

There was a gentleman on this forum that had a thread that I believe was titled "you're not going to believe this". He described how his new LS MT125 kind of ran away and surged on him. He mentioned that he had a oil leak that I believe was at his loader connections but all this brought to...

Need a picture of a MT 125 with just the loader and backhoe

I just purchased an MT125 with the LL100 loader and LB1107 backhoe. I'm playing the waiting game now for delivery. I've been of course telling my friends about it but I don't have a picture. I've cruised the internet for a picture but they are all factory pictures with the mower too. Can...

MT125 engine oil drain plug issues

While I'm still waiting for my new tractor to be delivered I have read there is limited clearance between the crankcase drain plug and the front axle. This creates the problem of getting the drain plug completely out to drain the oil. Is this an issue? Just thought I would ask the question.
