    crushed rock/snowblower

I have a 300 yard driveway on which I spread "3/4 minus" crushed rock every year. This year, for the first time, I used my new 60" snowblower. It's a tremendous change over the backblade. However, I've been throwing a LOT of crushed through the unit...basically scraped the paint off the drum...

    Snow:blade/blower tradeoff

So I've been loving my 64" rear-mount snowblower, which I'm using now after several years of back-blading and the associated "push-back" procedure required after blading. The snow is now sent far from the road. Nice change. However, the backblade would scrape right down to my frozen gravel...

    Snow  Snow plowing adjustment question

I plow about a 300 yard driveway with my B7800 and a rear blade. Because the driveway goes along the side of the hill, I plow towards the low side. However, with the plow on normally centered across the back, I'm only able to push the snow to the side, and it quickly builds up next to the...

Oil & Fuel  B7800 Oil Change Question

Am about to do my first oil change (that is, the first one I've done personally...) and the manual says "remove the drain plug at the bottom of the engine...." There's an illustration that shows drain plugS on "both sides." So I'm assuming I must remove BOTH plugs to thoroughly drain. Is...

    adjusting B7800 HST kill switch...help!

My B7800 won't start because the kill switch is not depressed enough when the HST pedal is in the neutral position. (140 hours) The service manager at my dealer says it's not under warranty because it's an 'adjustment.' Don't have a trailer so they can come to my house @ $85/hour. (So you...

HST kill switch driving me nuts...

So my B7800 has a series of in-line kill switches designed for my safety. One of them is on the HST pedal, in such a way that if the pedal doesn't return to 'center' when you foot comes off, the tractor will either turn off or won't start after it's been off. Generally hasn't been a problem...

    B7800 wouldn't start today...

...and I figured it had something to do with the cutoff switch on the mid-PTO. For those not familiar, the PTO has to be in the OFF position to start the engine. I have 130 hours on this tractor, and I love it, but several times over the 17-18 months I've owned it it has shut down as I stepped...

    Road Improvement Question

I have a 400 yard driveway that I maintain with my boxblade. (Rearblade and loader in winter...) The boxblade does a great job, but there's something I'm not sure how to do. It's time to add some rock topping, and since I have a pretty good base I want to add crushed "three-quarter minus" and...

    FEL stopped lowering

I have a B7800 with just under 100 hours on it. Have been doing lots of plowing/snowmoving with rear blade and loader. Also moving firewood around with loader. Yesterday after doing a bit of work (20 minutes?) I went to park it and all of a sudden the FEL wouldn't lower. It would raise...

    Confused about lights...B7800

I'm really feeling stupid that I can't figure this out. I've searched and read all kinds of posts here about adding lights to tractors, but I'm still not sure what to do. I own a B7800Kubota with about 70 hours on it. First tractor. Love it. Can't believe what I'm gettin' done. You folks...

    Greasing the FEL control

I read that I'm supposed to be greasing the loader control pins. (B7800 only 25 hours) Can someone explain how you would go about doing that? Do you unscrew the housing and then just shoot grease all around? I'm not sure how to approach this. No zerks. thanx, grae
