Have to crank DK 45 SE longer to start

The odyssey is over. Week and a half ago I ordered a controller from another Maine dealer. They didn't have it in stock but said Kioti did. Finally got it late yesterday and installed it this morning. 42 degrees out and started instantly. Back to normal.

Have to crank DK 45 SE longer to start

Time for an update. Part arrived Monday. Not what I ordered. I ordered a preheat controller and got a safety unit, Started Ebay return process and very shortly had a return authorization and a shipping label. I called Perry Power and explained that I still want the preheat controller. They...

Have to crank DK 45 SE longer to start

An update. I did one more test to eliminate any possible wire issues. I jumpered from preheat controller voltage output to glow plug relay. Still did not activate relay. It all points to the preheat controller. I have ordered one and should have it early next week.

Have to crank DK 45 SE longer to start

Vince, That is the direction I am leaning in. I would have replaced it already but local dealer doesn't have it and Kioti is out off stock.

Have to crank DK 45 SE longer to start

MTGreen Thank you for your response. My problem is no power is getting to the glow plugs. The relay that would supply the power has a large voltage drop at the coil that would close the relay. That voltage comes from the preheat controller. This is all activated by the key switch. Quick and...

Have to crank DK 45 SE longer to start

Below freezing here in the mornings now. It now takes about about 30 to 40 seconds of cranking to start my DK. It usually takes a second a two after preheat. Smoke is coming out the exhaust as I crank. I can hear the usual relays close going into preheat. Runs completely normal after start up...

Bent tilt cylinder rods- KL401 loader on my DK45SE-HST

I am in the process of getting a root rake. I have already turned my curl brackets into pretzels prying boulders out of the ground with forks. This is a good heads up be careful of.

3rd Function install Summary on DK40SE HST

Nice neat installation. This is how I mounted my QD's for a snow plow. Originally I did not have a cross over relief and just used a piece of angle iron for just the QD's. I used the hydraulic tube bracket bolts on the FEL.

    Loader CK35 Loader Problem

This post will get people talking. A couple of years ago I turned my curl brackets on my DK45 into pretzels. The brackets are made out of 3/8" plate with the ends doubled to provide pin bearing surface. Local dealer a couple hours away wanted about $85/ea plus shipping and figured a couple weeks...

    Kioti CK35H New Owner Here

Welcome to TBN. I welded a small piece of flat bar on the front side of the rops and mounted these on a DK45. I did drill and run the wires internal of the rops.

    Relief valve

I need to eat crow. Awhile back I converted an old Fisher plow to QA. I extended rear remotes to front of FEL and used QD's for connecting to angle cylinders. I did not use a cross over relief valve. I thought there was a relief valve built into my Kioti DK45 remote control valve. Long story...

    KL 155 loader

I bent the ones on my DK45 into pretzels. Since the bushing for the pins is about 3/4" thick, I had new ones made out of 3/4" plate. Cost was just about the same as new ones from my local dealer. I am still being very watchful that I did not create a "weak link" somewhere else.

    CK 27 lights hookup

The switch plate is just the blank on the dash that was on the tractor. It is fairly soft plastic. I outlined base of switch on the blank. Drilled 2 holes with a drill close to diameter of switch outline. Then I trimed to the outline with an exacto knife. Switches are designed to push in hole in...

    CK 27 lights hookup

This is how I wired ROP lights, back work light, and a power socket on my 07 DK45SE HST. Don't know how similar it is to your CK27. I did not use the existing "hot" wire at rear of tractor. I wanted to save that for anything that comes up in the future. I wanted the ROP lights and rear work...

    DK45 glow plugs

I do not have a shop manual. I know I should, but I don't. So to test glow plugs I cleaned up electrical terminal, and attached to each glow plug one at a time. I also made up a wire with spring clip terminal to attach to plug body and bolted it to block. I just turned the key for a second or...

    DK45 glow plugs

Ok now to check out electrical connections. I have learned that this tractor is real sensitve to dirty connections. I pull, check, clean, and coat with dielectric compound electrical connections on this tractor far more often than anything else I have ever been associated with. I found 4 glow...

    DK45 glow plugs

My 07 DK45 with 850 hours had not been starting cold as I thought It should. Lots of smoke and not all cylinders firing evenly for a few seconds on start up. It did not seem to matter what the outside temp was. I was thinking that my glow plug circuit was not working as it should and it was time...

    FEL removal

I am lucky to have a big shop with smooth concret floor. I think any firm level suface would work. Firm so the bucket edge and suport legs don't sink in. Fairly level so that the FEL will go back into brackets evenly. The back end of Fel is not too heavy and fairly easy to move a little by hand...

    FEL removal

Took the FEL off my 07 DK45 today. I bought used and have had tractor for a year and half. Came off just like manual said it should. I do believe this is the first tme the FEL has been off this tractor since install. There was no sign of any lubricant in the pins and they were starting to...

even new oil can be dirty

A while back, I think thread had something to do with the 50 hrs fluid changes, we got off track and and had a debate about filtering new oil. Today I emptied a new 1 gal container of hydraulic oil. I needed a shallow container to put under a filter I was changing so I cut the bottom off the oil...

Even new oil should be filtered

This picture is the bottom of a 1 gal container of new hydraulic oil I just emptied. I needed a shallow container to fit under a filter I was changing so I cut the bottom off the oil jug. I was surprized at the sludge on the bottom of the container. I run anything 5 gals and over through a...

    Front frame bolts 630D

I am presently rebuilding a 620D w/FEL. The 6 bolts for the front frame that go into the front of the engine block are not there. There is no evidence that they were everthere. No scratched paint nor can I feel any threads in the engine block. The attached drawing out of the service manual...

    DK lower loader brackets

I pushed my DK45SE HST too hard and bent the lower loader brackets up like pretzels. This tractor is a beast. Anyway, closest dealer quoted a price of over $80 a piece for new ones. Instead I had a steel shop cut new ones out of 3/4" plate and had a machine shop bore the pin and lock bolt holes...

Loss of power, fuel starvation, I think

Out pushing dirt today with my 07 DK45 SE HST with 740 hrs. After a couple of hours the engine started to bog down easlily and idle was about 100 rpm low, no smoke. I checked fuel filter. It was really clean, but changed it anyways. Bleed fuel system. Fuel tank was about 3/4 full. When I bleed...

    Finally used the plow

It took 2 small snow storms to finall get enough snow to plow. I took an old Fisher 71/2' snow and converted it to QA. My thanks to kubota tee and 4shorts as I followed their designs. Works good, still on the low end of the learning curve. I had to throw this together in a hurry so had a couple...

    My buying experience

I thought I would post this in hopes it may help someone else down the line. I have been wanting to upgrade from a Sotah 630D for a while. I was after a lightly used tractor in the 35 to 45 hp range and under $17k. It had to have a loader, 4wd, and preferably a hydrostatic trans. I was not brand...

    My DK45 arrived

My 07 DK45SE/HST w/401 FEL arrived 2 weeks ago. I purchased it from R&R Dexter, Danforth, Il, and went with Best Way to get it to Maine. I could not find anything reasonable around here. I upgraded from a Satoh 630D. I now have about 10 hours of seat time and wow. What a tractor. I have moved...

    New Member

I have just purchased an 07 Kioti DK45SEHST. I have moved up from a Satoh Buck 630D that I have had for almost 25 years. I searched the country for a tractor and the models I narrowed down to were based on info I gathered from the forums on this site. Thank you all for posting wonderful info...
