Snow Equipment Owning/Operating Pictures of your snow weapons

Hello Leon, I have the older version of the 1028 (4 years old), it's a beast, almost impossible to choke it in snow blank, the only downside: it doesn't steer... And it's a heavy piece of machinery, is the newest version has steering brakes? If not I would go for the 1332 ($$ permetting!) I...

    Snow blower performance

In early decembre I welded 3/8 thick plate to reduce clearance (1/8 to 1/16). After two month of "nice" storm, I guess I have an extra 6 to 8 feet when I use it. The Martin is 5 year old, newer model have larger funnel and tighter fit for the second phase, evolution... It does help! Phil

    Snow chains question

Running your chain with a bit of clearance is especially nice with mud or wet snow (the type that sticks to your tires. Your loose chain will free itself, and your tire wont grow or accumulate snow. Perhaps the size or your fist for the rear, but a little less for smaller front tires...

desing for a backhoe ripper tooth (KB 2464)

Finally, I got a picture! I received the tooth some time ago. I could dig out a parking spot (first pic) the tooth was greatly appr馗iated to rip out some of the roots from the maple, and mostly to remove a stump. And other add on I appreciated was the "slip-on" blade on the bucket, to smooth...

Leaking hydraulic fluid from the mid-PTO

Hello there! Last year, my dealer installed a belly PTO to power a front snow blower. So far, great installation and performance, but I noticed a small hydraulic fluid leaking from that bottom PTO. The 4 bolts holding the assembly all have a dripping nose syndrome! I try to retightens, but...

    studded tires

Not very effective but it does help a little. The thing is you need so many screws to make it effective. It's about the same price as the chain-solution.
