    Post Hole Digger bottoming out

My problem is I have only one size auger bit and that is the 12" which I realize would be the hardest to use but I use it for planting fruit trees as well as digging large corner post hose made of bridge piling timbers. But I will check the manual just to see. Thanks.

    Post Hole Digger bottoming out

Not quite sure where this lever is. Are you referring to the elevation lever on the lift? Otherwise this Branson has only a button to engage the PTO. Am I missing something?

    Post Hole Digger bottoming out

I have a 2022 Branson 4820 HST with a heavy duty post hold digger and 12 inch auger. Bores great but it I let it strike bottom I have to hand dig the auger out of the hole. Is there any way to reverse the auger/PTO to avoid this task?

56 HP Kubota clutch repair costing $5k

I work two days a week driving someone else's tractor and pulling a finishing mower. The Kubota clutch went out after 730 hours and was sent to the selling dealer. After four weeks it was returned with a bill for $5,000. Is this within reason? On top of that the clutch pedal now sticks to the...

    Brush hog accident(s)

I vote for already dead. Fits the description. Isn't there some toxicology report they can do to determine if she was dead before the mower struck?

Driving tractor with the front end loader bucket elevated .

I like your design but do not see how this device would help in the case of a day-old fawn. The ones I have seen don't move if they consider themselves well hidden, even when machinery gets closer and closer. `

Massey Ferguson 135 wheel bearing replacement

My 50+ year old diesel Massey does a good job for it's age but the front wheels wobble when moving. Is this a sign of worn bearings or something worse? Also, years ago I used to replace wheel bearings in my car but that was in the 70's. Is replacing the bearings difficult? Special tools needed...

    Decent battery charger

Same here with a Schumacher as long as it is an older model. I ran over mine with my tractor and it still works better than a newer one I tried, just looks kinda sideways. Jumpstarts, trickles, 6v or 12 v.

    How much winch is enough?

That is a good post but could you explain "double line it"? Do you mean run the cable through a snatch block attached to what you are winching and then attach the cable end hook back to the winch or beside it?

    How much winch is enough?

Bought a 10k rated dual axle trailer with brakes on both axles and auto stop box and wanted to add a winch to the front to hoist either of my tractors onto the trailer if they fail to crank. So I bought a HF 5000 pound rated winch and was planning to have a mount welded to the trailer for this...

    Branson 4820 problems

Well, I did adjust the knob below the seat and the rear lift is working again. Operator error! But I am unclear on the hydraulic deadheading, not knowing what that means. I have run old tractors without hydraulics for years but hydraulics are new to me and I am still learning. Please explain...

    Wheelbarrow tires going flat

I have had one of these for about 4 years and it also gets rave reviews. Mine is called Gorilla Cart I think and it looks like the one in your picture. You might mention the handhold is reversible to allow it to be pulled by a lawnmower. Mine stays hooked up to a mower for stick pickup. Side...

    Wheelbarrow tires going flat

I have had a dual wheel, foam filled (can't go flat) tires wheelbarrow for several years now and love it! With my bad back, one off kilter tilt with me trying to prevent the spill can shut me down for several days. With the dual wheels I don't have this problem. The barrow itself is plastic and...

    Branson 4820 problems

Reply to all who responded. Fixed the hydraulic lift by following your suggestions about the adjustment knob under the seat. I have been using another brand tractor whose seat adjusts using a knob in that location. Lift is working fine now. Seat adjustment knob is smaller and to the driver seat...

See, that may be partially the problem. I never understood what the difference in regular and Economy Mode was and DID put it in that setting for at least some of the mowing, thinking it might help. Good advice.

    Branson 4820 problems

I have a Branson 4820 with about 20 hours on it. So far, a nice tractor and I love using my grapple to lift logs and move brush. My problem/problems are with the Land Pride 4' rotary mower. The tractor chokes down and stalls while cutting field grass. Admittedly the grass has been growing for...

Caught 4 small feral hogs at a time, this morning

Got friends in NW Florida who have timberlands having feral hog populations for years now. They trap boars primarily and castrate them, then turn them back loose, which accomplishes two things: One, they no longer reproduce and two, they grow incredibly larger and no longer have the strong meat...

What have you hit with your mower lately?

Hit a pile of concrete core samples with my Land Pride mower this week. Size of a one pound coffee can but twice that long. Didn't cause permanent damage but I hit the PTO button at the first sound of impact. I submit the worst case for this thread happened in an adjoining county about 25 years...

    Battery powered chainsaw

Bought a 80V Kobalt saw at Lowes nearly 5 years ago with an extra battery thrown in. I told my hired handyman to use it like a regular saw to see if it would hold up. His first day he cut down and into pieces an oak tree with a 12 inch butt diameter, before needing a charge. Impressive! Since...
