Unless going downhill, don't even brake. Your shredder will slow you down enough. I have done it without braking, but always be prepared when on a downgrade to brake in case you miss the gear at first.
I don't know where you would put them, but I've knocked off my turn signal lights at least three times each by ninja limbs. I finally stopped buying new ones and just zip tie them back onto the ROPS. But I always leave the ROPS folded down.
I feel the same way, I’ll take my chances jumping off if it rolls. I hate where they mount the turn signal, I’ve busted three. Now I just use tie straps to keep them attached.
