    Contemplating a box blade

I have a box blade and land grader. Both Woods and both 6 ft. The grader is a one trick pony. Does driveways great. Moving dirt not so much. If I'm doing my driveway which is about 1300 ft long I use the grader blade for general cleanup. But if I have some serious washout I use the BB with the...

Ammo can tool box mount for any tractor with ROPS

Not a very good picture but I use a ammo can along with a basket. This way I can keep tools separate from the other stuff I carry. I also can get the ammo/tool box and take it somewhere if need be.

Forks  Gotta question about pallet forks

I have a Mahindra 1533 that the FEL will lift about 1700lbs. The few dealers I have spoken to says they have 4000lbs 48in forks. Isn't that an overkill? The forks they offer weigh around 375-400lbs. Woods offers a set of 2200lbs with 42in that weigh in at 275. Do I need 4000lbs forks if my...

Need to get up to speed on ZTs

I've had my ZT2 50in cut for a few years now and really like it. Still use my tractor on the rougher fields with the 72in finish mower. But I can get more grass cut quicker on a Zero turn.

    Think it'll work?

With winter coming in I was thinking of ways to clear my gravel drive without removing half the gravel along with the snow. Came up with this idea and it didn't cost me a dime. Already had a 4 inch x 8 foot piece of PVC pipe. I cut it down to 6 feet then cut it long ways. Slipped it over the...

Replace with new tractor or add a zero turn mower

I have a 72 in finish mower I have for my Mahindra 1533. I only use for two fields whick are pretty rough riding. The other parts I use my zero turn. Used to have a riding mower before the ZT. Took me over 4 hrs to cut all my grass. That was cutting out with rider then finishing with the...

Price on a Tomahawk Grapple bucket

I've had it about 4 years. Thinking about selling it. Never really use it. Taking up too much room in the shed. Don't remember what I paid for it. Bought it new.

Where to mount a tool box?

I have that basket also. Had on the backside of the ROPS. It was in the way when I went to use the 3 point. So I moved it to the side using different braces and resting it on the fender. Its great. Love it. Use it all the time. Just don't care for it where it was designed to go.

    $12,000 for a 2006 4110?

A buddy of mine is looking at a 2006 4110 4x4 Shuttle shift with 2700 hrs. Comes with loader. And has Remotes on rear. Says mechanically perfect but we know how that can be. Not a dealer. Private sale. Anything he should look for? Does need a grill. Wants $11,950

    Chainsaw Helmet shopping

I've been kickin around the idea of getting a helmet for a few years. So when I saw this, it got my attention. My wife just so happen to be reading this over my shoulder and asked why don't I have one. I said I don't know. Never really crossed my mind that I would really need one. Then, like...

Started hanging some fence line. Got 100 feet done pretty quick but the sun started to set and mama was blowin my phone up. She needed help with some stuff that could have waited. But you gotta keep mama happy. No rain for the next few days so I should get more done.

    Coyotes coming close to house

I've lucky so far. Heard them but haven't seen any. We've got about 250 acres of woods behind us so I would think they have enough food back there not to come too close. The times I do hear them I will pop off a few rounds in that direction and I'll be good for awhile. I do walk the property...

    Ultima Series

Got it home. I have NEVER driven or even sat on a zero turn. This is going to be fun. Did drive it around the back yard for awhile. Little bit of a learning curve. Was pushing when I should be pulling. LOL, almost hit a tree. That was funny. Only messed with it for about 20 minutes. Got it off...

    Everything Attachments Box Blade Review

I'm gonna have to disagree with some of you on this one. This is my Woods BSS72. I've had it a few years and it's done its fair share of ground work. I do hose it down every so often. The only place I've lost any paint is up at the top link where it meets the quick hitch. I can't say anything...

Cat 1 pallet forks vs. carry all

I did get it at TSC. I have a set of pallet forks for the bucket that I use to bring firewood into the basement. I built sides on two different pallets that I use to stack firewood and casters to makes it easier to move around the basement.

Cat 1 pallet forks vs. carry all

I've shown this pictures on here before but this is what I use when I am deep in my woods. Fill the bucket and carry all with the wood I split. Figure I can carry more after it's split rather than before.

Anyone make/made a wheel kit for a straight blade?

Living on a gravel drive and road ya'll understand what it's like to plow snow and try not to take half your gravel with you. My driveway and road ain't exactly flat. Sometimes I scalp and other times I'll leave 4 inches of snow. I like the setup on the landscape rakes but not sure if they make...

Went to Tractor Supply today and looked at the boom poles they had. Which turns out to be only one. Advertised on-line as a HD Countyline for $299. But saw a sticker on the side that said Tarter. Not a tool box but...

Put it on the other day. Takes away from looking backwards a little. Might stand the ROPS up again and mount higher up. I'll give it a few days.

How do you carry your chainsaw ?

Built a carry all with a trailer hitch for my splitter. I don't like to waste time dragging a tree out of the woods. This way I can cut it, split it, stack it, then drive to the wood shed. It's surprising how much wood can be put in this carry all and the bucket.

    Box Blade Weight

My Woods BSS72 551lbs works great with my Mahindra 1533. 63 in. wide so it sticks out a little. Weights does help with a box blade but if your tractor is not heavy enough to get the traction needed. Then you will literally be just spinning your wheels. IMO anywhere from 500-700 lbs would do fine...

    Is it worth the argument?

My neighbor and I have been doing some road maintenance this week and got into a discussion about weither or not I should use the scarfires on my boxblade and clean up the potholes. Tired of carrying wood one armload at a time so...

Already built one last year but I like this one better. Start with a pallet and built some sides with wire mesh. Put some wheels on to move easy. Made a ramp to get in and out of the basement. Been doing some research on this and can only find a few things where someone gives a review on it. Read a lot on the Woods, Landpride, Kingkutter, and Bushhog. But not on a Mahindra. Steepest grade you have made it up?

In the market for a tractor. Probably the 3016 Shuttle over the 3616 shuttle. Can't see spending an extra $3 to 4 thousand for 8 more horses considering everything else is pretty much the same. My question is that I live on 21 acres of heavy woods and uneven terrain. Also have power line with...
