    Good morning!!!!

'morning all. Recovering from detached retina surgery, 5 days out. Doing okay, I guess. Had to keep head down, to let gas bubble keep pressure on the laser repairs. Cleared to drive today, but not going anywhere, may have to mow. 48 degrees this morning, 64 in the house, ran the furnace...

    Good morning!!!!

Heavy rackets are like heavy bats, golf clubs, etc. Harder to swing, but send the ball farther... Had another heavy rain this morning. I think I figured out the water getting into the shop, by the door. Heavy rain sends the roof water mostly OVER the gutter, splashing down, to wash in past...

    Good morning!!!!

My first real job (high school) was at a Firestone store, and we only did a few big truck tires. We used the cage, or maybe stuck it under a car lift. The real scary ones were those on delivery vans/trucks - 19" I think, where the wheel was actually split in half, not with a split ring (22"...

Nice breezy morning here. Turning hot and muggy later, I hear. The eye dr told me a year or so ago, that I have cataracts and will need surgery. When, I asked? Oh, you'll know. Well, the right one has gotten real bad in the last month - like looking through wax paper now. I got new...

    TODAYS SEAT TIME

81 degrees here today. Spent the day mowing the deer corn, and other stuff out at our hunting farm. The deer HAMMERED the corn. We were kinda hoping to hand harvest some and re-plant. I think there were three uneaten cobs. $200 rotary cutter, JD 855 working awesome... Good, but tiring day.

CL or FB Marketplace. I like FB much better, for selling. When buying, I check both. The locally owned FM radio station still has a free "for sale" daily feature here. Not used very often, apparently.

You're very welcome. I'm not selling my manual, until the tractor/mower goes (like never...), but I did find several on eBay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/386957710376 I wonder why that link got welded. Stripped? Weird.

I just finished a bathroom remodel (to the studs) in this old farmhouse. I left a local newspaper from Jan 20, 2025 and a "MAGA" note in the wall cavity for someone to find. I did find an old small woman's/girl's shoe, wooden sewing thread spindle and small (empty) medicine bottle inside a...

Hi. I have an 855 (love it) and also the 60" mid mower deck. The deck has been off and in a shed since I bought a green zero turn mower a few years ago. I also have the mower Operator's Manual you need. It has a part #OM-M91324 if you can find one. I don't have a scanner, so I took these...

Don't use poison. The poison will be transferred to whatever eats the carcass, and so on... I've had limited success with the "dog proof" traps. I use cage traps, then shoot 'em (22lr works fine). Sardines work great for bait, but anything stinky works great like others have said. Stake them...

    B7500 vs JD755

That looks like a good one. A better choice over the (great but older) JD755, even if it's $3k more... Are they charging for delivery? The Woods rotary cutter "thrown in" would've swayed me more than the warranty. :)
  139. gstrom99

    Deere 755

For tractors, more weight is a good thing. When I got new rear tires, I had them filled with RimGuard.
  140. gstrom99

    Deere 755

Never seen one using that. The 4' rotary cutter will be fine on a 755. I use a 5' on my 855. Yes, keep the loader on (and the belly mower) for counterweight. At $7k, that looks like a good deal.

It's been five years, and the neighbor hasn't noticed/said anything about it? How many acres is each property (woods?), and what are they used for? The OP should just cut a trail on his own property, and let the "old" trail revert to nature, then bring it up the next time they talk.
