Better weight distribution, and it's a lot easier to drive forward, as opposed to backing out of the trailer.

I've got a T394 tractor. I haul it in my 14' dump trailer, sometimes with attachments on. Towing with a Toyota tundra. Works well.

I sold my previous dump trailer. It was a 6X10 H&H dump that worked well, but I'm in the market for a 14 or 16'er. There's plenty of options for dump trailers out there. Midsota, Behnke (B&B), Load Trail, Big Tex, Watch Dog, Doolittle, Bri-Mar, Diamond C, and Top Hat. I ended up buying a Top...

GC series rear weight bucket with 2 inch hitch adapter ideas needed

I built a ballast box for my tractor. This barrel is over 860 lbs with 14 bags of kwik crete in it. If you built it with half the bags, you'd be at the weight you're looking for. A receiver hitch could be installed in the barrel also, concrete would secure it.

New to me TYM T394 tractor. No ballast in tires. I made a ballast barrel with quik crete, around 900lbs total. If I picked up some large wood chunks or logs with the pallet forks, I did the wheelie pretty quick. Problem solved with the barrel.

Can the T474 work with 2-row planter?

No, it is not too narrow. It might even be overkill for that little planter. I've got some experience with food plot corn planters. I will tell you, with the light weight corn planters, your soil has to be tilled like a garden to work well. I have used old style two row planters before, and...

It seems everyone wants the 12" or below diameter wood for their burning. If you can get away with it, great. Ever since I bought this Timber Wolf splitter, I'll take the big trunk that nobody wants. It is a lot more challenging to get this split to size, but it does produce a large amount...

    Rototiller for GC 1715

You might be able to get by with a 5' tiller with your machine, all depends on what you are tilling. The one charlton recommended is a 48" tiller, and the one I have is 48 also. Picture below is the one I use with my 1715. Works great.

GC 17XX Tillers - what are you using?

I bought my Land Pride tiller with the tractor new. I tilled over 3 acres with it last Spring, and it did fine. Getting it adjusted correctly on the 3 pnt will come with experience. IMO, tilling deep isn't good for your soil. 5" of tilling depth is plenty.

    Will a 25HP Massey Ferguson pull a JD7000 4 row corn planter?

I just bought a 2 row 71 Flex last week. Today I put some corn in the ground. I think I have to different models of planters, a 71 and a 70 mounted on a 3 point frame. Both units are not planting deep at all, as one of them is just laying the seed on top of the ground. I tilled this soil 15...

I hooked up the tiller today. Much more involved than the mower. You have to cut the pto shaft to fit your tractor, and that was interesting. The manual shows you how to do it, but the first time is always a challenge. Checked the gear box for oil, checked the chain box for lube, greased all...

motown, that log is already ashes. I don't cut firewood for the years ahead, I cut for the day. I know, I'm losing heat because of it, but that's the way I do it. My favorite is green (as in not seasoned) box elder. The farmers want it out of their fencelines, and I want it into my firebox...

You had me worried for a few minutes. I went down to the shop and took a picture. I wanted the reverse tine tiller, not the forward. I didn't research these at all, just bought what the dealer had in his yard (as far as model goes). What's wrong with the 0550 models?
