This is an old thread but I have the same problem with a Bobcat 773. I changed the hydraulic oil and filter. It seems to be a solenoid valve that is not opening. As the OP stated, i can hear the pump and engine load up when I actuate the lift. Some valve is blocking it. If I let it warm up...
