On the outside of the bucket are some pockets, and on top of the bucket is a threaded square nut. They look original to the bucket. What could they be for? bucket.jpg

??
The stands would go on the frame towards the rear, not the bucket. I's say those pockets where added by a previous owner to attach chains/straps, or some other custom fixture.

There are 2 stands the ones that attached to the bucket are so you can remove the loader IE get leverage to make the arms lift

My guess is that a grapple attachment was sold for that bucket. Possibly the pocket, the bolt hole showing in your photo and the square nut you mention were all involved in attaching the grapple ??

Their should be two metal bars stored between the two posts that the loader arms attach to, right in front of the steering wheel, for you to use when you want to remove the loader from the tractor.

This.

And, as Gumtree notes, the two stands store between the loader posts, immediately in front of the steering wheel. They can be a bit of a nuisance, so if they aren't there on your tractor, someone removed them and probably stored them separately.

What great folks on this forum. Yup looks like the arms that go across the instrument panel fit in the pockets. Thanks!

This question comes up every few years... If you will, install the pieces in the pockets and Please post a picture or two. That way when this question comes up again in 2026 someone can then just post your pictures...
