Need some help with go kart governor

So I got my son a go kart for Christmas and it is plenty fast enough on flat land. Problem is we don’t have much flat land. You have to traverse a hill to get to the area I’ve made into a track of sorts. My son can make it about halfway up before it will no longer turn the tires. I’ve adjusted...

    Fabric tractor shed

I started my shelter logic 12x20 garage in a box the other day. Had an hour of daylight to get to here. Hopefully get it the rest of the way this weekend If the rain holds off. Tractor supply had it on sale for $330. I’m not initially impressed with the size/thickness of the cover that came with...

    Starting our new life

I also would think that there would be ice guard would be required. At least that’s what my contractor called it. It’s an abrasive black sheet of something, lol. As seen in these pictures below. When I asked him about it he told me it’s to keep the water from seeping I to the wood then freezing...

    Valve cover gasket on 4500z

I changed it out today. I have yet to start it up yet. As you stated, that coil bracket needed to be moved. I took off the shield then the bolt for the bracket next to the manifold. I was then able to loosen the bolt on the other side and just swing it out of the way. Took a dead blow hammer and...

Ford Tractor photo thread, lets start one!

Saw this thread and thought I was standing in my father in laws back yard. He's got like 4 or 5 of them. Something like a 2000,3600,4600 and 7610. Here's my wife power washing the 7610.

    Tough cut mower

It might have been mine. It was at sunset a couple weeks ago getting some warranty work done to it. Sunset is going to make me a push bar to put on top of the tough cut to help with tall woody brush.

    New Home Build. Plan Review.

I haven't read everything in this thread but I've looked at the plans. I recently went through the house building process. We built a 3100 sq ft plus 1900 sq ft unfinished basement. 3 kids age 6 and under. That playroom will NOT keep them contained. No way. Ours is about the same size as that...

    House with a basement

I have always had walkout basements. One piece of advice I can give you that I haven't seen mentioned yet is to go with steel I-beams to really open up the basement. We went with 12" I-beams and the support posts are MUCH further apart than if we went with wood. It would have been something like...

    Countertops

We did quartz when we remodeled our 100 year old house in 2010. Then we we built our house in 2016 we went with quartz again I, personally, do not like any granite that I have seen.

Jenn air Oven outer glass-" sorry we don't stock that part any longer"

When we built the new house we just picked what we liked. Kitchen aid ovens and fridge. Viking dishwasher. GE induction cooktop. And we brought our jenn air convection oven/microwave with us. It's a hodgepodge but we got exactly what we wanted, no longer cared about the "suite".

Jenn air Oven outer glass-" sorry we don't stock that part any longer"

when we renovated our last house we went full on jenn aire, their "professional" line. I think it was around $8k for everything.

    Steiner stump cutter replacement teeth

Does anyone know where to get "non Steiner" replacement teeth for their sc101 stump cutter? I recently purchased a used one and it could stand to have a new set put on. The Steiner ones are about $11 each, 24 total. I have found some that look similar that are around $4 each. 5 Series -...

    Fluid question

This is the only thing that goes in the ventrac. States on the label used for hydraulic and hydrostatic. At least in the ventrac (not sure about Steiner) it all gets used from the same reservoirs. Rear transaxle is separated from the front.

Ventrac power bucket hitch pin disappeared!

So since the snowstorm is getting ready to hit, I wanted to put on my plow. Took the bucket off and noticed that one side of the hitch was missing! Do these things come with any warranty....less than a month old! I would say that a weld failed. See pictures. Hole goes all the way through and...

    Weight transfer noise

So I've been using my bucket and grapple extensively in the last couple of weeks. I've put over 40 hours on it in the last 2 weekends. In doing this I am now getting a noise coming from the weight transfer spring when lowering the bucket. I can look at the connection when lowering and it is...

    Ventrac power bucket

I'm contemplating the purchase of the power bucket with the grapple and teeth. Anybody have this set up on here? Does it work well for picking up loose brush? I'm trying to clear brush/small trees on my property to thin it out. I've been taking the chainsaw to all these bushes and trees then...

Gravel road install- diy with no spread by dump truck?

Here are what 25 ton piles of 57s look like. I would say the base is 10-12 feet in diameter and about 5ft tall. Crusher run is more compact. And yes it does look like much more in the truck.

Gravel road install- diy with no spread by dump truck?

If it's already packed and an established road then I would go with 1.5" crush and run. Unestablished road go with 3" the first time. We just built a house and had to have 7, 25 ton loads dropped on the driveway and it's still soft in one spot on a steep section. It's been graded a few times as...

    Air filter

Any one have a source to get the inner and outer air filters online? I'm sure there is a fram or k and n or something that will surely fit other than from ventrac. I'm not opposed to buying from the dealer but would much rather order online and have it shipped to my door. Everywhere I've looked...

    New Ventrac 4500z owner

Put on a golf cart cover to keep rain and wind off of me. Hopefully will hold in some warmth. I probably should have set it out inside to get some of the wrinkles out before putting it on but as is offers good visibility.

Not the greatest pictures of the box mount but it was dark when I got home. If there is anything specific you want a picture of then I can get it this weekend when I'm home when it's light out.

    New Ventrac 4500z owner

Thanks for the welcome. I will be sure to put this thing to the test on hill climbing. Behind my house is 100 ft "cliff" that the bull Dozer didn't even want to go down but I flashed some money at him and he made the grade "manageable". And by that I mean I think only the ventrac would be able...

    New Ventrac 4500z owner

So I've been admiring Ventrac tractors ever since my country club bought one in 2011 and that the company who mows the hospital I work at's grass. I'm in WV and hills are numerous and I have seen that thing go up slopes that I can't even walk up easily. We recently built a house on 5.5 acres...
