that would depend on balance, where the weight is and ratios, as well as tread pattern.

International tractor b414 water in cylinders

Hi All, I have a old 414 that is outside, we had lot of rain this winter, anyway just went to see how the old girl is as have some chores, and found the intake filter full of water, so naturally it has made it's way into at least some cylinders. Of course I want to get it going ASAP as I do...

Have you ever heard of a defective ROPS responsible for injury?

Yeah, I get what your saying if it is a violent rollover, I guess ppl down here do not drive around so fast, an accident is just that, but some people are either brain dead, careless, reckless or a combo of any or all 3. I have been in car accidents with belts and without, at far higher speed...

Have you ever heard of a defective ROPS responsible for injury?

Well my tractor was made in the 60s, another the 80s, both have roll bars, neither has a seatbelt & I do not want one either. With a seatbelt or without, your arms and legs could still be crushed, without a seatbelt you would have to jump in front of the bars downward path I imagine to get your...

Have you ever heard of a defective ROPS responsible for injury?

The roll over protection really is not a bother, I do have some trees and low lying stuff and it helps remove some of it, you just have to watch out for what springs back, some branches do not break (do not ask me how I know). Seatbelts on tractors, mowers, etc etc is overkill IMO, anyways...

Iseki 4370 hydraulic fluid fill point

Hello all, Anyone with any exp with Iseki tractor ? I have a slow leak in a few spots, anyway need to top up hydraulic fluid. Seems there is a dipstick in centre console area behind shifter and a bolt type plug nearby, however the tube you can fit in there is a bout a quarter inch ...

Something I don't understand about applications of below 40hp tractors

Do not tell my 2 40hp tractors what they can and cannot do, you may be surprised. if with low gearing, even a 2wd old Inter tractor can pull a 7ft chisel in dry ish clay, on a slope mind you with rock in ground too....lol the limiting factor is weight/traction and lift ability of the...

    Big Cars are killing Americans

Anyone who has jumped a car of just a few ft ramp will know how bone jarring it is to hit the ground. That mustang jump would have hurt a lot, and results to the car are what you would expect. I think I watched too many of them movies when I was young, I am not sure how my old dodge dart even...

    Big Cars are killing Americans

It is a doggone shame that there is ! What about shows like the blues bros....etc etc I always thought wrecking cars like that in shows was a bit, well, lacking of grey matter......but I am too practical ! lot of things done for fun is a big waste, like, urmmmm, monster trucks etc

Scout by... Volkswagen ?!?!?!? Electric, no less.

Yeah, pretty much, I can think of many downsides too if I want to pick holes at this stage, but like your dads advice, I will roll with it, prob because I have an electrical background and understand all the aspects. Electric is not without cost or pollution, people need to ack that, but short...

Scout by... Volkswagen ?!?!?!? Electric, no less.

Yes, that is right, they are electric and electric diesel here too, but either way, the work is done by electric. I like this forum, but so many are really stuck so far in the past it is not funny. It is idiotic that we have been burning oil for so long frankly, should have been phasing it out...

Scout by... Volkswagen ?!?!?!? Electric, no less.

Electric actually is better for pulling loads, this is the vehicle itselfs issue and probably way overloaded. Trains are all electric. Torque +

Scout by... Volkswagen ?!?!?!? Electric, no less.

The issue with fuel/oil, is it is a finite supply, we cannot wait another million years to produce more once it has gone. Electric and hydrogen are alternatives. So may as well get used to electric as that is what Elon has managed to get traction on, down under we were working on hydrogen.

Do you take it to the dealer for maintenance or do it yourself.

Moral to the story, stealerships have a new weapon to try and get more money from mostly people who worry about things. Govts should unite to force all manufacturers to mandate use of a common plug and protocol so anyone can buy and use simple cheap diagnostic equipment, and those who do own...

Why is Weight The Only Solution Being Offered To The Problem Of Traction?

What may be more accurate is actual ground pressure. We all know what happens with a lot of weight on the rear to our steering :) I had to take fluid out of old inter tractor and other Jap one, frankly, they perform the same with R1's as far as I can tell, maybe even better when I have been in...

Anyway, no carpet in real utes, I do not like getting of the tractor and having mud...

Why is Weight The Only Solution Being Offered To The Problem Of Traction?

Well, you cannot add weight if you wish. I can see them getting mashed easily. They will not be as durable, one of my tractors has tyres over 20 years old and still fine. What do you do if you rip some ribs ? What will happen if your in a clay bog and trying to get out, will the ribs cope ...

eeek....do not start cutting things or harness, that is not how you diagnose ! as an auto spark, I can tell you not much without knowing the setup, ask the dealers mechanic first maybe if you do not have the electrical skills to diagnose. I have 2 older tractors and both are mechanical...

    Cleaning Up Substantial Yard Debris

Down here companies will come and collect any scrap metal. They even pay sometimes. But I would hire a dozer or tracked loader, scrape it into piles, then load into trucks or whatever. If you have some areas you want to fill, you could scrape enough up and use it to fill elsewhere on the...

Well, here down under, you cannot even have loose tools or items in your ute tray, they all must be secured or covered so they cannot make way onto the road, we are a bit too far the other way, as some things could not come out unless you rolled & they would be out then anyways... Items on a...

FWIW I buy the cheap motor oil packs when on sale and have used that in all my saws, but, I am not doing any sort of large volume, so others mileage may vary....but chain oil is about twice as expensive to 3 times compared to cheap decent motor oil.

    Fuel stabalizer

On small engines that get left for some time I use a local made stabiliser that also cleans and takes care of moisture and fungus, a lot of small engines can get gummed up real easy, so they need something if not always being used. The ethanol is not the issue.

Found this on the ground ???

Yeah, from 3pl as others say... Look at ways to stop it unscrewing, it should not, and, your 3pl arm will be flapping around and may be able to cut into tyre or get jammed, so if you do not use it, you prob need to strap the arms or adjust and fix so they cannot wander into the tyre, or, keep...
