    What's for Breakfast? Humor me!

Wife made biscuits and gravy and a fruit smoothie this morning. But my most go to breakfast is a scrambled egg hash, with taters, sausage, shredded cheese and some salsa on top. Start my mornings with a cup of coffee, then breakfast a bit after.

Good Books.... Well, there are a few.

I'm reading the reacher books now, started after the TV series came on. Dad was into the dirk Pitt books and Mom was into Steven King. Dad likes to read from the actual book, Mom has a kindle. I buy my books used off ebay, and donate to the library, but mostly donate to those little book...

Generac or Koehler whole house generator?

We installed a 22kw Generac, 10years ago. I do the yearly maintenance very easy, oil change, filter etc. At 25 hrs needs valve adjustment then again at 400hrs. Those were pretty easy to do. We have almost 500hrs on it. Power goes off here in the winter, and summer. Great investment. Cost $11,000...

Shop Vac Suction at Hydraulic Fill Port?

Worked for me, wife held the shop vac, while i changed the filters, still lost some fluid, maybe half a quart. Got to take my time, as I was worried if I hurried I'd cross thread it.

Kubota L3901 HST vs. Kioti 4010SE HST Compact Tractor Pricing

I did look at a comparable Kioti when I was shopping. I did like the seating area, seemed bigger and more space, plus it had mirrors, and some extra stuff the Kubota didn't have. But I really liked the seating area on the Kubota, everything seemed like it was in the right spot for me, Didn't...

    Poison Ivy

As a kid in MD, I'd get poison ivy bad, used to take Clorox baths, doctor would give me vitamin A shots. Now out here in CA we have poison oak, some of the vines going up trees are 5"s around, I do get it some but not as bad, I have a designated set of tools, ie hand saw, dig bar, shovel, and a...

Kubota L3901 HST vs. Kioti 4010SE HST Compact Tractor Pricing

I did the same as you, but at the time the Kioti dealer was pushing some HD implements (woods) i think and the price was pretty close to Kubota. I already had an RTV so stayed with Kubota. I am not surprised by your quote, implement pricing can very. Good luck

Ever have an urge out of nowhere to look up something from the past?

My mother kept all my letters I wrote while in the Navy, some of the bootcamp ones were hilarious. And she made albums from the pictures I chose to send. Sometimes the wife and I will break out that stuff on a weekend.

    New floor mats

Utility knife, with a couple new blades. I used a cardboard template, then once I had the mat cut out and in place, crawled under and used a sharpie to mark the holes. A kinda dull drill bit, that would heat up and melt the mat as it went through. Then on the bottom side I used a step bit to...

    New floor mats

I had previously done the spray rattle can bedliner but wasn't holding up, and was still slippery hopefully this will be better.

    New floor mats

Made these from the thinner size stall mats at tractor supply. Stole another person's idea, but definitely a keeper.

Best firearm for home protection? I realize a lot is personal choice involved?

I initially bought a 12 gauge browning bps stalker. But really like my S&W 40 with a streamlight on the rail in my nightstand.

    New 2021 L2501 incoming!

You will like it. I'm so glad I got mine. Doing the mods is fun. I installed forward and rear lights, battery tender, grill guard from superjet511 on the orange forum, did spray on bed liner on the step and foot wells, but now working on mats from a stall mat, right side handle, etc. Its done...

    What is this?

I was crawling around under my L2501 today and found a few more zerk fittings. While greasing I came across this big nut with (not sure what to call it) a movable pin. Looks like some kind of vent maybe, but I'm not sure. Any ideas. Thanks

    rtv-x900 200 hour

Did my 200hr today. Replaced the hydraulic oil, transmission oil, and both hst filters. The hydraulic oil came out pretty clean, guess those filters were working good. Now the transmission oil was pretty cloudy, and dark kinda gray, had just a small amount of metal on the magnetic plug. The...

    Rtv-x900 dash lights

So my 2014 rtv-x900 just got something new that happened. When it is on or just the key on to use the glow plugs, I get a constant left blinker light and seatbelt light. Now keep in mind that this vehicle has neither of those options. Going through the wsm schematics, I see that both of those...

    Third function too fast

I have a third function valve and handle with switches for left and right angle on my snowplow blade. When I tried it out, it really flies left and right with the buttons. My question is there a way to slow down the movement? I couldn't find anything in the third function valve paperwork, but it...

Truck bedliner spray on step and platforms

I saw someone did this on theirs, but did it to mine today. Was surprised how thin the paint was as I was sanding down those areas. I was going to remove them to do it, but looked like a pain. So I carefully masked off everything, only had to pull the hst pedal.
