Thank you for all the inputs and as always helpful information. @ pony tug: I will check the alternator.
@bmaverick , good idea to use sea foam, I’ll see if that helps, thanks for the info
When I give a lot of power then black smoke is coming out as well as on start up. I use bar’s or wynn’s stop smoke/ engine oil treatment and Wynn’s diesel plus treatment. But this doesn’t help. I don’t think the diesel is the problem as my Kubota L245 and Toro 223D works fine with it.
@alexpops. Coolant tank and oil looks normal. It’s difficult to describe the smell, it’s not the usual diesel smell, maybe it is burned coolant or oil , I don’t know. I always put an additive in the oil and fuel to clean injectors and to reduce smoke (but it does not have excessive smoke)
Hi all,
I have a strong smell/ horrible smell when my YM1510 is working at high power especially. I am trying to find out where it is coming from. I changed already the exhaust, oil etc. but until now I can’t find the problem. My 1510D does not have excessive white or black smoke. Today I...
Hi,
I am owning a Kubota L245DT which works well. I only have a problem with the hydrolic lift/ three point . It’s not lifting very high. It should lift much higher. What could be the problem? I have checked the hydrolic/transmission oil but that seems ok. Any ideas?
many thanks.

Hi repete , can’t send a pic now.
the leak is where the upper part of the front knuckle is pivoting on the lower part. I can see it’s oily between the two parts and from there the oil is leaking downwards.
thanks

I have a Kubota L245DT which has a small leak on the left front wheel.
Which seal(s) do have to replace and where can I get them. I have the parts Manual but it is not clear to me which parts need repair.
Anyone who did replace this before? Any help is very much appreciated!

Hi,
This is the three point hitch on my YM1510D. As you can see on the picture this is not the original three point hitch for a Yanmar but this is how I bought it. The stabiliser chains are on the outside of the lower lift arms. This results in bending both pins. For this reason I would like to...
I have the right front wheel on my YM1510D that is pointing outwards a little ( see picture attached). The left one is normal. What could be the reason for it? Both front wheels have an oil leak aswell. I believe i need to change the seals on the front knuckles. Someone who has expierence with...
Hi,
Just to be sure,
Is the horizontal line on the Transmission-Hydraulic oil dipstick the minimum or the maximum? ( see pic attached) I believe it is the maximum, is that correct?
There are no threads on the dipstick. Do I push it in completely to check the oil level?
Thank you?

Hi,
I would like to jack up my YM1510D to change the wheels. I don稚 have the service manual and I am not sure how to do this. Are there specific points where I can jack up the tractor? Any suggestions welcome. Thanks.

Just a question. I believe there is no mechanical stop on the 3 point hydraulic control lever on the YM1510. Or am i wrong and is it only not on my YM1510. How can the lever being locked so that the three point does not lower when accidentally touching it with my leg? Any suggestions.
Thanks.

Hi,
I would like to put turf tires on my YM1510D ( 4WD). I have now on the front 5-12 and 8-18 on the rear.
I found 5.00-12 and 8.3-18 turf tires. Can I put these on my 4WD without any problem?
Thanks,

Hi,
I would like to use a 42 inch flail mower with my 1510D tractor.
According to the data of the manufacturer of the flail mower the HP needed for this size is from 20-35 HP
Am I able to do this with my tractor or is it not a good idea.
Any experience on this.
Thanks,
