Estimate of the Cost of Welding

Thank you all for the great advice. As I replied in an earlier post, my neighbor next door did the weld and wouldn't take a dime. I did do all the prep around the weld. Next time I need to weld again, I may invest in the Harbor Freight welder and try and learn how to do it myself.

Estimate of the Cost of Welding

DL, Funny you say that. I called my next-door neighbor at my property asking for a weld shop nearby, and he immediately said he didn't know of any, but that he would do it. He said it took him all of 10-15 minutes since I had already cleaned an preped the area. By the way, he said most weld...

Estimate of the Cost of Welding

Hello Everyone, One of the braces on the mower on my riding lawnmower is breaking off and needs to be rewelded. I've never had this done (newbie at working land) and have no idea how much it costs for say a 3-4 inch "re-weld" or prep and weld. Any idea (range) of what I should be paying for...

What size trailer do I need to transport BX2680

The Kubota BX2680 weighs around 1500 lbs (plus the FEL). THe Uhaul trailer has 3500 lb load capacity, so it seems ok. I won't have any rear attachment just the 3 point hitch. The length of the tractor is 8 ft. I'll have to check if the tractor plus FEL is less than 12 ft in length. Thanks...

What size trailer do I need to transport BX2680

My BX2680 has an oil leak in the back and I need to transport to the dealer. It only has 32 hrs so I'm hoping it is covered by warranty. Two questions, please: 1) What size trailer do I need? I recently rented a 6X12 U-haul for another job and that feels like it would work? Thoughts? 2) Do...

Advice on How to reduce slope on dirt roads

Hello All, I just bought a Bx2680. My first urgent project is to reduce the slope on a dirt road/trail that runs from the front of my 11 acre property down to the river. There are two drops. The first one is about 30ft drop and the second about 20ft. The slope on both is very high...

Hello Everyone, After a lot of research here and on youtube, I'm buying a BX2680. I've been talking with two Kubota dealers (one near my 11 acre property and one near where I live and work.) I'm used to negotiating a lot when buying vehicles and was wondering if you can also negotiate when...

The creek in our property has about a 24 foot span to cross. Initially it will be used for foot traffic, a riding lawnmover, and ATVs, but next year, I intend to buy a small tractor. The attached link is to a post that details what I need exactly. There are two posts on this page by Wayne who...
