    HST or gear-drive?

It boils down to personal preference. Your friend needs to try both. His property layout and intended use matters too. I personally can think of very few situations where I would prefer a gear drive over HST on this size tractor. I have too many obstacles and I use my tractor for landscaping...

I Went To Purchase A New Mini-Excavator And This Happened.....

Assuming the salesman was truthful with the zero hours, the machine should have been marked as “sold” and not used by a dealership goon to do their weekend project. Keep in mind, OP saw it in person and would have seen it dirty of the demo excuse was the case. 7 hours is the lowest hour demo...

Zero turn vs. 4X4 tractor for mowing

How about a 5 or 6’ 3 point finish mower for the Ford and perhaps a zero turn?

    M7030 Front Wheel Fluid Leak

I imagine the grease would be for the left and right pivot motion from steering.. ball joints if you will. I would get a service manual and tackle the job yourself. The how to's from various models doesnt seem like a bad job.

    20 inch chainsaw recommendation

I would look into a Husky 372xp. I have a 6 year old 455 rancher with an 18” bar that’s been great, but it was time for me to get a spare.

Kubota D1105 Engine - Slow RPM Response to Throttle

I’ve always considered the D1105 to be a tad slower throttle wise. It’s one of the first things I noticed on my zero turn. Have you heard this machine in good working condition? (Can’t tell what it is.) It’ll be interesting to see if the fluid and filter change helped. I would think the...

    New L 02 Series

Not sure on the L2503. I will say I do find it odd they updated all emissions models to the 02 series though. I got the impression they were going to kill off the L2501 or at least get into a position to do so if emission requirements changed. Anyways, I think the B50 series was killed because...

    Kubota Restores Their Classics

I’m a little late to the races, but here’s one of my old G’s. I used to have 3 5200’s, but sold one to my brother. I also have a 6200, but unfortunately it’s a parts tractor that we have both pulled from. The Datsun/ Nissan affiliation is interesting. My dad has a few 240’s. We always joke...

Recommend me a quality M2C-134-A hydraulic fluid

TL; DR. Recommend me a quality fluid meeting the spec above. Dad and I recently picked up a Ford 1500 his grandfather bought new back in 1980. Dads cousin bought it from him and is now downsizing and moving into town. He knew dad always liked it so he gave him a call. Has about 1500 hrs and...

    Howdy

Howdy everyone. Been lurking a while, but finally made an account. I have 1 Kubota G6200, 2 G5200's and an L2501. I also have a Wheel Horse Charger 12 that belonged to my great grandfather that I'd like to get running sometime this summer. On a much lamer note, I also have a few vintage...
