    Leveling an established field

The soil is clay loam. The damage is widespread, at least a third of the field. I was thinking of a chain or spike harrow to loosen and knock down the high spots, but I’m not sure it will be very effective, even if I add weight.

    Leveling an established field

I just began working a field that’s new to me. The alfalfa and grass are in decent shape, but the previous owner allowed livestock and vehicles in the field when the ground was wet. As a result the ground is very uneven in a lot of places which makes me go a lot slower than usual. Is there a...

    First bale always falls apart

I have a New Holland wire baler that runs great, except that the first bale always comes apart as it leaves the machine. I believe it is because there is nothing to apply pressure/compression so the bale is not well formed. Does anyone have a good way to help the first bale get some...

    3-Point Hitch  CK25H lift arms to CK3510?

I currently have a CK25H that has the extensions at the end of the 3-point lift arms. I really like this feature, but the CK3510 I’m looking at doesn’t have them. Does anyone know if I can swap them from my CK25 onto the 3510? Thanks

Finally got into the gear case and the cam gear is a disaster. It is like this all the way around the entire can gear. One tooth is broken the idler gear as well. The crank gear shows noticeable wear from the oil pump. If anyone has an idea how this could happen, I’d sure like to know so I can...

    CK25 engine problem

My photography skills aren’t much. I last changed the oil at 700 hours. There was no sign of any metal pieces, shavings, dust, etc. There has been no smoking, noises, or hiccups of any kind. I haven’t been using it since I found the teeth in the oil. I’m thinking I need to take the front...

    CK25 engine problem

I have a CK25 with 800 hours on the engine. I changed the oil, and when I removed the drain plug from the left side, 3 pieces of metal dropped out. Once I got them cleaned up I could see they were gear teeth that had broken off. The engine starts and runs perfectly. The teeth are very shiny...
