I finally did the switch to truck tires, Toyota Tacoma 265/65r17 on 17x7.5 +30mm offset wheels. Fit with no rubbing (i've driven on them loaded off road since and nothing seen even with lifting tires off the ground in ditches). Full video on the install and findings/learnings

My Fix -- Error Code 50-08 FPR Multi-Signal

Yes, not a bad idea. I'd much prefer to work on it in my barn but I've known one big downside to these Toolcats is that they are a PITA to move if they don't drive on their own. I could have taken the full switch mount off the steering column but it was late and I was limited on time to get it...

My Fix -- Error Code 50-08 FPR Multi-Signal

I read about error codes on here from time to time and have read of many causing the toolcat to not move/drive. Today I got code 50-08 and my 2016 Toolcat 5600 refused to budge, of course partially blocking the driveway. I checked the Fuse #10 in the fuse panel above the throttle pedal, all...

2007 Toolcat - no traction, stiff suspension, differential lock?

The only use I know of a welded/locked steered axle in a high mu use case is FWD road racing. They get the benefit of traction (some understeer penalty on turn in) for corner exit but they will note how teribble the car is in the paddock at low speed if they try to turn sharp at all (typically...

I have a 2016 as well and I get some noise during higher load driving. Could be described as chatter. Sounds like it hydraulic to me. I should take a video and see if you have the same symptom. I was thinking it could be dirt/debris in the little mesh screens in the hydraulic circuit...

Steep snow performance of Toolcat 5600?

That's my video and I intentionally picked out the weakness of open diffs that the newer units have (without electronic aid of traction control). In general I dont get stuck in snow with just the R4 tires. However I think a 60hp tractor is better at not getting stuck due to large diameter rear...

    What size snow bucket?

I would caution going wider than 8ft since you can twist the loader arms. On that note for commercial work get one with a trip edge. I would say go with a V-plow if you are only buying one. Most versital type there is. Depending on the lots you clear you may want a snow pusher and a simple...

Well... I found a used but unused 3-point hitch for sale and bought it. Just got it today and slapped it on my 2016 5600. I (like most 5600's) don't have any rear remote hydraulics so I plan to install a manual valve that leverages the dump bed circuit to power a pair of aux connectors. Once...

Building an Off Road Dirt Track with a Dozer

You're spot on all your comments! I fabbed up a 3in extension for her steering wheel now (pedals and seat do slide), made a 6ft drag and its smoothing out. Her go kart has suspension but its stiff and she weighs the same as a bag of potatoe chips.

    Tough to find a 5610

I dug in it a little further. The A94Y and older machines have two separate radiators, one for engine coolant and one for hydrostatic fluid. In 2014 they combined those radiators into one so now the hydrostatic oil and coolant are an oil to water exchanger and then both cooled by air.

Honestly if you have a bunch of other equipment that has 3 point and pto I dont know why you'd go with the 5610.
