Suggestions for a post hole digger?

That makes sense to me, but did you ever try to explain that to a woman? When I bought this tractor 3 yrs ago, I went from looking(with my wife) at a 30 hp to buying the 54hp tractor with land plane and RT tiller with a loader, 4wd and HST. I liked the idea of those bits, but thought I better...

    Kubota L3400

I bought my first tractor new, without a loader. When time came that I needed a loader, I bought a Woods and had it installed. It was close to $6k at that time, but it was a great loader and lifted a lot. I was very happy with doing that.

M59 Help: Dealer Wants $6K to Replace the Wiring Harness

I think like 2 of the latter posters, where mice chewing could be causing 1 or 2 wires to touch a grounded surface. Wires rubbing together or rubbing on something could wear off insulation and allow them to either short together or ground out.

Suggestions for a post hole digger?

Eddie, I fully considered the county line phd. I had watched a few youtube vids of people getting them. I think they are Chinese made. Having worked in a factory for over 31 yrs, I really wanted one mostly made here. About a week ago, I was close to ordering one, they had $100 off. I was also...

Suggestions for a post hole digger?

I do like the idea of having it in front. I know now, that I should have gotten hyd in the front and one on the back. Never thought when I bought the tractor that I would want a PHD. Talk about the price of things, I bought 2 pipe plugs to fit the oil fill and check holes on my Land Pride mower...

So I have some hole to dig soon. I called and found out that nobody locally rents a pto driven one for a tractor. I found a used one at my dealers, but it is rated for lower hp units. If I buy new, would like 1 made in the USA. What would you get for an mx5400 kubota?

    Choosing my First Tractor

You might want to consider FEL lifting capacity. If you plan to use the FEL much, you do not want to fall short in that area. When I bought my 2nd tractor, that was one of the top 5 things that made me choose what I bought.

Cleaning Under Zero-Turn Deck After Every Session: Really Necessary?

I seldom cleaned the deck out, other than just when I removed the blades for sharpening. Deck was just fine. I just recently sold my diesel mower for $4,000. I had a bad boy with a 28hp Cat diesel in it. It is a great motor with lots of power. I needed a front mount mower deck and had zero room...

No, I am NOT going to try to take down a dead 100' Hickory tree!

A few good comments here. First, I have two Hickory trees and I have used chips from it on my grill, the smoke from them works great. 2nd, the idea about taking it down in sections is great. The idea of roping off part and pulling away from woods, I like. Dropping the branches away from the...

    Buying advice

Two points. 1. When I bought, I was concerned about getting pollution control on my tractor. Zero problem. I bought the tractor I needed and the pollution control is not a big deal. 2. Though a tractor company lists how much the loader Will lift, the tractor has to be made strong enough to...

    Rant against insurance agencies

I had problems with State Farm just 1 time abd that was whem I called the National office, NOT my local agent. When I contacted my local agent, that problem disappeared. Also, was another vehicle involved? If so and they also have Stated Farm, then things could go south. Did they take your...

Owning a small tractor is a blessing.

Just today we moved a very heavy glider style porch chair from the front porch to the back patio, using the FEL. 2 days ago I used the tractor to unload the 60 gal gas tank from the back of my truck. A couple days before that, I mowed about 2 acres with the tractor. Would not think about how...

    Driving over a septic tank

About 10 yrs ago, I had a septic tank serviced and I was mowing when the guy came. I had a 28hp cat diesel in a bad boy zt. He asked how much that ZT weighed and I said about 1100lbs. He said DO NOT drive over any septic tank with any zero turn mower unless I wanted a "brown dirt bath". That was...

Zero turn vs. 4X4 tractor for mowing

I had a 1520 ford with a 72" land pride finish mower that I mowed with for years. I know about the 5hp/ft thing, but that combo did just fine. I liked the comment about tbe flail mower. Is it grass you are mowing or just field growth?

    Fire from neighbor's land

Well, first off I cut a black walnut tree down, had it sawed and kiln dried. The lumber was worth around $1500, many years ago. I had a mature pine in my yard that a drunk ran into at 3am. I watched as the driver got out and walked away and the woman passenger crawl behind the wheel. The HP...

    Tractors and (upcoming) tariffs?

    Tractors and (upcoming) tariffs?

Most here need to research the purpose as well as the reason for tariffs. As far as the tariffs on steel a while back, the Chinese(ccp) were dumping steel here, charging less than their cost to manufacture and ship. They were on a mission to bankrupt all of our steel manufacturers. It just about...

    Buying Used Rotary Mower

Since you guys are all talking about his new(to him) mower deck, I have a question. Do newer mower decks spin the blades faster than the older ones? Yeah, I know the RPM of the tractor spins the PTO at that speed, but the newer ones might have gearing inside that turns the blades even faster...
