    BB60 vs EA Rotary cutter

My tractor is small LX2610. I have owned a few tractors, but never a cutter. The Woods is still listed, but I offered $1300 and the guy wouldn't budge. I would likely never try to cut anything larger than a 1" sapling. Larger than that I would pull out. I'm going to take a skid steer and brush...

    BB60 vs EA Rotary cutter

I have an opportunity to pick up an excellent condition Woods BB60 for $1400. The EA 60" cutter I had planned on buying is more $$. Anybody got knowledge that will push me one way or the other? The Woods is green and my tractor is orange, is one downside😉

    Fender vs loader mounted valve

Why? I have never climbed out of the skid steer on the Kubota and thought anything about control position. Does it take time to dislike loader mounted controls? I only ask because the L2501 is on my list for a new machine and is loader mounted like my last.

    Fender vs loader mounted valve

I have a little over 200 hours on my B7610 with loader mounted valve. Looking at new machines, is the fender mounted control really more comfortable to operate?

    Ground compaction

Thanks everybody for the responses. Sorry it took awhile for me to get back onto the thread. I sold my 2 tractors, and now just trying to decide what to buy. It will be compact tractor. I like the mini articulating loaders, but they are expensive and I like having the 3pt. I'm also not worried...

    Ground compaction

Not really. I know the answer from a spec sheet. In the real world, what would tear up my woods less. From the net: " When I ask users why they have tracks, the number one response I get is, “I want to get rid of compaction and the track has a much larger footprint area.” While it is true the...

    Ground compaction

If you don't want to read my long post, the basic question is this. What tears up wooded property the least, as far as soil compaction and rutting. A lightweight tracked skid steer with 3psi of ground pressure or something like a 1025R that probably has higher ground pressure. I have 4 acres...

    Tractor HP

I almost bought an LX2610su. A somewhat local dealer and I worked out a price for one he had in crate before mentioning which tires it came with. Going over the details I told him I wanted R4 tires. He said the tractor was ordered with turf and the dealers owner was requiring him to sell it with...

    Tractor HP

I actually looked at the LX2610SU today. I really liked it. More or less what I have now, but with the extra goodies I want, and its shiny at a decent price point:) The L series was nice, but I would mostly be ruling out taking it through my woods. I do have concerns with weight, same as I do...

    Tractor HP

JD doesn't have it below the 4 series. I do really like the 4044M.....

    Tractor HP

I have a good bit of time on 4 machines. JD 750, B7610, BX24 and a T770 skid. Nothing in between that would compare to an L series. My gut tells me I would appreciate the weight, but I'm not sure how to actually try one other than at the dealer, which barely counts.

    Tractor HP

I had considered a chipper. Just a smaller one for limbs.

    Tractor HP

Yanmar looks nice. I wouldnt be interested in anything they have without the dpf. 30k with the goodies I want puts it about where the 3901 would be. Dad has a customer who deals Branson. 25k would get me a machine that out specs orange and green in the 35hp class, but if circumstances change...

    Tractor HP

I just sold a JD 750 I had for awhile as well. Definately preferred the the HST.

    Tractor HP

The hydraulics would be somewhat easy. The QA would be custom fab best I can tell. I saw a guy cut the pin on tabs off, weld them to a QA adapter, and then weld a QA plate to the bucket. The time and most of the money would be lost on resale and I have a slight itch for something shiny.

    Tractor HP

I tried a box blade once just playing around, but my driveway is 8-12" thick of 2-6" rocks, burried by dozens of dump trucks and concrete trucks. The rippers didn't stand a chance. Once the 21a is down, I don't expect the rippers to have to work hard, if they are needed at all. From doing...

    Tractor HP

I don't need to upgrade, mine works fine:) I actually just want QA, 3rd function and a hydraulic top link at least would be great. It seems easier to just buy new or newer.

    Tractor HP

I'm struggling with a decision on HP. Currently I have a Kubota B7610 and have put 200 hours on it over the last couple years. Looking to replace it. It has been immensely helpful for projects from planting grass to building a pole barn. I have 6 acres, mostly wooded, and have yet to use the PTO...
