    SA424 Hood

How old is it? Dealer/Yanmar should replace free if still under warranty. Also would contact Yanmar directly if out of bumper to bumper warranty as they might replace free anyway since it's a common issue

    Cleaning lawn of branches

Landscape rake and debris forks can help, would still need something like a dethatcher for the really small stuff I guess if you didn't want to dull your mower blades

    SA 425 bush hog question

I'm the odd type that suggests a heavier duty 4ft over a light duty 5ft brush cutter, but I'm using more for trails than fields and being able to maneuver more easily and tackle small pines with no probs is necessity

    SA325 issues

Yes the hood where it connects to strut is a known "issue" and will be covered by Yanmar. I have not experienced any issues yet but I close mine by pressing down at that section. The only time I've had sputtering on startup was after 3 weeks sitting and temps in 40s F and only let the glow plugs...

    SA325 issues

Yep should be covered under warranty, I would question what it went through and/or what the dealerships did before you received it ie overtightening screws etc. Not sure on the sputtering, mine will if it's cool out and haven't cranked in a couple weeks but that's about it

Should a new tractor come with a full tank of gas?

Mine had about 3/4 tank of diesel 2 keys and got a dealership hat, it's a small family dealership and they're good folks. Yanmar later sent me a goody box with 2 hats, multi-tool, and maglite with their logo

    First electric tractor ride

I have a few issues here. 1. No battery is lasting 10 years. If they're warrantying it they're gonna be coming out of pocket alot, not to mention you can expect a 10-20% drop in max charge a year so at what point will the warranty kick in. 2. I'm wondering why it can't charge at 32F or below...

Don't know if you have shrews up there, but they leave a similar hole. Used to have em all over my yard when I was a kid

    Anyone own a SA221?

Are you going to mostly just use for mowing? If not I would suggest the upgrade to the 324/424, more loader and 3pt capacity and much easier to remove the mid mount deck. I went with the Yanmar because they have an impeccable reputation, great warranty, and the price for my 324 was about the...

No experience with their tractors which are just Branson rebrands, but their implements are VERY nice for the price

Why not sugar water in tires instead of beet juice?

Think of it like the beet version of blackstrap molasses where its just that sugarless thick sticky liquid at the very end of refining sugar
  12. S

Why not sugar water in tires instead of beet juice?

As someone just posted green poisonous antifreeze they put in their tires. This is what I meant. I'm aware of the safe versions but that doesn't reach alot of folks out there whether lack of caring or whatever

    SA 424/324 12V Power Outlet

Toolbox is tiny and in my opinion not worth the $70. I went ahead and ordered with my tractor just because what's $70 extra on a tractor loan, but would not fork out the cash for it outright. Thinks it's around 10" x 4" x1.5"
  14. S

    New Tractor manufacturer

So basically a Solis with some Yanmar rear panels. I do wonder why a tractor that size is only 2 range. Didn't they say over 3k lbs with loaded tires? That's Kubota L series weight, though it looks more Yanmar Yt235 /Kubota LX size
  15. S

    Comparison Sa424

Yes it will handle a 5ft. I went with a heavier duty 4ft instead, so less bogging while I'm cutting trails with saplings and weeds/brush up to 8ft high. 5ft is fine for flat fields of weeds. Plus the smaller size makes it easier to navigate the woods

5'/60" rotary mower recommendation for 30~55HP tractors

I have to agree with the previous statements but I'm not sure as to the quality of the Kioti cutter either. Landpride, Bush Hog or Bad Boy (really like the thought out design and reinforcement areas) have good options
  17. S

Why not sugar water in tires instead of beet juice?

$3-4 a gallon installed is typical for "beet juice" and there's a calculator for figuring how much is needed by tire size. I would steer clear of calcium chloride as it's known to be caustic and rust rims from inside out which is why it's rarely used anymore. As has been mentioned before sugar...

Mahindra Emax 20s vs Massey Ferguson GC1723e

Yes Bobcat tractors are made by Daedong which makes Kioti, but they use their own loaders. Massey is going to be a more refined tractor for sure even with the E model. I don't have any experience with the mahindras but have heard of quite a few people with issues and have noticed many for sale...

    ID this tractor

Not sure why they do that on some models. Even the Yanmar yt235 is more of a squeeze to get into the station than the smaller sa models

    ID this tractor

Def not an 01 doesn't have brakes on right side. 02 would have the brakes on left side and adjustable rims available. Would agree looks more like a MX size though

Anyone Seen an SA 223 Yet?

Just an update. My dealer posted today they have all 3 new models in stock so other dealers should be getting soon or already have them.

    Pouring fuel from cans

I use the one from Rural King. Has a flexible clear hose with screw on cap and bleeder valve. Simplistic design and no safety feature really, more like and older can but instead of a pop on cap on nozzle it screws on https://www.ruralking.com/catalog/product/view/id/88648

    New SA425

Check with your dealer and see if they can get the parts. power beyond would be where the backhoe plugs in. I would just wait a couple months and see if Yanmar offers a "retrofit" kit option for us, otherwise between a Summit kit and aftermarket power beyond you're looking well over a grand just...

Replacing regular with GFCI. - Solved Thanks All

Yes you "should" replace with gfci to be up to code but only 1 on the circuit is required. If you have 2 on same circuit can lead to constant tripping. BTW don't expect the new gfci outlets to last 25 years, lucky to get more than 5
  26. S

    New SA425

Yes, they can be done at home as well. Mostly going to be kind of standard operation on the SCUTs, just hooks into the hydraulics, going to be similar to 1025r (most common for videos)
  27. S

Anyone Seen an SA 223 Yet?

No problem. I hadn't checked the website in a month and didn't even know the new models were listed. Yes it looks like diff lock is standard on 223, was an option on 221. Glad they are doing the 223, the 221 just had nothing for features. Would be wise of them to make a fabricated drive over...

    New SA425

425 identical to the 424 but has dual rear remotes from the factory for about $700 extra. Good if you want a hydraulic top link or something like a ditch bank mower. Grapple runs off of 3rd function though can be run off rear, just a pain and in the way. 3rd function can be done at home if...

Anyone Seen an SA 223 Yet?

Considering they were just put on the website I would say will be a little while before any arrive at dealers. The 223 is same HP as 221 but has dual range hydro and true position 3 pt (not sure if this is on 221). 325 and 425 are same as 324 and 424 but with dual rear remotes, basically $700...

    sa 324 / 424 Potential buyer questions

Yeah some manufacturers have started putting the brakes on the left side, like new kubota L series. rest of us have to put both legs on that side or have one big foot. I just avoid stopping going uphill anyway, learned quick on the riding mower years ago it's better to just get up and over

Mowing Fed Up w/ BX Drive-Over Deck. Making a Change.

Sounds about right on their offer, They would probably put it on the used lot for 15-16k. Remember those prices you're seeing are dealers selling at used retail

Mowing Fed Up w/ BX Drive-Over Deck. Making a Change.

Not sure what else you need a tractor for besides snow blowing, but if I were gonna upgrade it would be to a B2601. Be easier to get the deck on/off and well just better for everything over the bx. I understand the only having space enough for one. I can't really use a ZT anyway, barely have any...

Comparison The Bitterness of Poor Quality Remains Long After the Sweetness of Low Price is Forgotten

Why I went with my Yanmar. Quality built(same eng and trans as JD) 10 year powertrain warranty, very ergonomic, fast smooth loader with 2 function capability, and thousands cheaper than the JD equivalent. Sure the dealership is almost an hr away but no JD dealers closer either as they've been...

    Rotary cutter preference

I actually went with the new Bad Boy 4ft "heavy duty" over the Bush hog from my dealer. Heavier, thicker steel, and slip clutch all around the same price so why not. Also like that they reinforced the back corners which doesn't seem common at all. Time will tell I guess

Oh? That's some you need to go play the lotto level luck

    Post emissions used tractors.

I have to say I will never own anything requiring DEF, just can't see using it. Though for you fellas with horses and cows you can have all you want free, just gotta be quick with that bucket

    424 drive over mower deck

Good luck. $3K is a bit crazy but they've all gone up to that due to the steel prices

First visit to a Rural King

We've only been to one here in Al but we love taking a road trip there(hr. n 20 min. drive). So much bigger and nicer than TSC
  43. S

    When is a BX enough?

Agreed, the B2601 is a good bit more machine than a BX and well worth the extra. Definitely would consider just how much you think you'll use the backhoe in the future. Takes quite a few mini ex rentals to get to that number and a mini ex will do much faster

  46. S

Price check for a used B2320HST, loader and backhoe

    New BX23s is $24k. I sure wouldn't pay 18k for an '09 w 400 hrs when I could get a '19 with less for $19-20k

    Riding mower vs BX

Not sure why it's even a question if you're already removing the deck from current mower. BX MMM will be alot easier to remove and will do a great job cutting. I mean it will be practically the same as your mower but more power and wider cut. Not sure where people are saying a MMM on a scut is...

Comparison Has anyone compared 1025 and 2380 recently?

Sure as heck wouldn't go for the 2025r over the Yanmar sa324/424 better machine at lower price(that green paint is expensive I guess) The B2601 is what I really wanted but price and financing options and wife led me to the Yanmar. Massey 1526 is comparable to the B2601 but loader mounted...

Comparison Has anyone compared 1025 and 2380 recently?

Agreed, the B2601 is a very nice machine and quite capable but is a few grand more than the bx2380.

Does Kubota offer a loader attachment to attach MMM decks to?

Kinda pricey but have you looked at a deck dolley? Easy option if you don't want to use the loader method
  51. S

Comparison Has anyone compared 1025 and 2380 recently?

If you have a Yanmar dealer close check them out. An SA 324 or 424 is more machine for around the same price and 10 year powertrain warranty is always good. Drive over deck but loader is standard take off not quick disconnect so takes 2-3 mins to take off

    455 Rancher not oiling properly

Kioti CX2510 vs Massey 1526 vs other

Massey is made by Iseki in Japan, has been for many years. Kioti is made by Daedong in South Korea. MF 1526, Yanmar 324/424, Kubota b2601, Kioti cx2510, JD 2025 are all comparable models. I'm looking hard at the Yanmar because it's alot of tractor for the price, bout 2k less than kubota, 3k less...
