I'm pushing a large snow thrower in 4-wheel drive with chains on the rear agricultural tires. I'm guessing the front wheels are not getting enough traction to worry about dragging.

Clearing a gravel (crushed stone) driveway of snow I often pick up some gravel which scrapes the impeller area clean and dings paint on augers. Is there a recommended paint or treatment to prevent rusting and perhaps help keep snow from sticking? Thanks,
