    TC29 in a pasture rehab.

Changed the hydraulic fluid, and yeah didn't change since its not hydraulically driven (As far as I can tell)...so next is a trip to the tractor doctor...am sure it will be a clutch replacement. They quoted me $1,500 and that seems in line with other quotes that I have seen online from others...

When I checked the oil, it is a bit milky not terribly milky but slightly, so I am going to do a oil change before I try anything else.

    TC29 in a pasture rehab.

Well this thing has been a real workhorse until today. I had a guy helping me out with mowing, him on the tractor and me on the mower. He was cutting through some high weeds and the tractor all of a sudden would not go forward unless it was in 1/1 and only really slow. He drove it for awhile...

As far as I can tell...Trying to shift into any gear is a grinding experience....even with the clutch pedal fully pressed.

I was told it was done be cause "the rings were bad and it smoked real bad"...not sure what caused it though. Guess I am going to try and find a owners manual now. My plan is to tie the clutch pedal down and drive it around. Not many hills but can certainly tow my truck around with it...that...

We close on the property tomorrow but had some time today to go over there and look at the property and the tractor. Current owner said he had the cylinders bored and sleeved a year ago, new valves, injectors and pump and that he ran it out of diesel and just hadn't gotten around to filling it...

I live in the Fe area...Santa Fe hahah.. Between Houston and Galveston. I did verify the engine turns freely, well the guy from work walked up and turned the key and it spun over a couple of times before the battery gave out. Told him to quit.

Thanks for the guidance...We close in 18 days, and I want to start getting a list together to try out. The hydraulic hoses on the FEL are appear to be cracked or dry rot so don't think they will last long, but they can wait until later stage of repair/restore.

I am buying a piece of property and sitting in the middle is a New Holland TC29. The instrument panel is completely trashed and the shroud surrounding it is cracked in two spots. The weeds have grown up to around it but not completely over taken it. All 4 tires are still full...don't know if...
