Tires for Kubota RCR48 mower deck?

I'll take either one. Pneumatic tires as originally fitted would be fine. However, a solid-rubber tire that would fit the Kubota split rim might be fine. The bearings in the stock Kubota wheel are wide roller bearings and spread the load very well. New wheels seem to come fitted with cheap...

Tires for Kubota RCR48 mower deck?

Good thoughts. Did you find tires only or did they come formed on the non-split rims? I bought some like this on Amazon but upon inspection, doubt the rims will take the punishment. Will try them.

Tires for Kubota RCR48 mower deck?

Tinhack, Thanks for the response. I have looked, and the only tires I am finding are tail wheel tires for small aircraft. No way to tell where they are made, but they are about $80.00 each. At $80.00 each, I would like some assurance they are robust and can be used reliably in this...

Tires for Kubota RCR48 mower deck?

Hello again to the group. What are folks using to successfully replace the original tires on these mower decks? I have tried replacing one with new chinese tire and tube, and it failed after a few hours use. Photo attached of an (I believe) original tire. Size is 2.80/2.50-4. Outer diameter...

Kubota Alternator: Using single phase on 3 phase?

Thanks guys. One of my motorcycles runs an aftermarket permanent-magnet alternator and a combo rectifier/regulator unit, so I have some familiarity there. I like the idea of the "one wire" alternator for the Kubota. I'll suggest that. The owner has a well-equipped welding/machine shop at...

Kubota Alternator: Using single phase on 3 phase?

Thanks for the replies. A few photos are attached. This new engine is a later model. OK. It seems this "alternator" is barely up to the task. Can you just bypass the Kubota wiring and use any old alternator/regulator and go straight to the battery?

Kubota Alternator: Using single phase on 3 phase?

Hello to the group. I am helping a friend with his B7100 engine swap. The alternator on the damaged (non-water pump) engine is three wire, but the alternator on the new engine (water pump) engine is two-wire single phase. The new alternator mounted, but the wiring issue remains. Is there a...

Kubota RCR48 mower deck spindle nut thread/size?

To wrap this up, the spindle thread is indeed 3/4"X16TPI. I confirmed by chasing the thread with a 3/4X16 die. It is a large die, 2-1/2" O.D., which made it possible to chase the thread by hand using the die alone. Thanks to all who responded. Russ

Kubota RCR48 mower deck spindle nut thread/size?

Sometimes I wonder why I overlook the obvious. ;-) The threaded stud diameter measures .750", and the thread measures "1.5" on the metric thread gauge. It also measures 16 TPI, which does correspond to a 3/4X16 US thread. 19mm is .748 which is close to 3/4" (.750"), so the saga may continue...

Kubota RCR48 mower deck spindle nut thread/size?

Nothing found on Amazon. Like other suppliers, they step from M18 to M20. It seems odd that Kubota would specify a nut that is so difficult to source.

Kubota RCR48 mower deck spindle nut thread/size?

That was the first place I looked. No luck. Usually, they have anything and everything with overnight delivery.

Kubota RCR48 mower deck spindle nut thread/size?

Folks, I am back again looking for (3) M19, fine thread nuts. The NAPA nuts are not available. I think the OEM Kubota nuts (unavailable) are M19X1.0mm. I found stainless nuts on Ebay but assume they are too soft for fastening mower blades. It seems M19X1 clamping nuts are available for CNC...

Kubota RCR48 mower deck spindle nut thread/size?

I found a fine-thread M19 spindle nut from NAPA auto parts. I'll try that.

Kubota RCR48 mower deck spindle nut thread/size?

Good day all. I am hoping someone has an answer. My RCR48 mower deck needed new blades. The nuts on the spindles were very difficult to remove. One came off with an impact driver; the remaining two had to be removed by grinding them down and splitting them. The spindle threads are good. I...

    Exposed Aggregate concrete help

I poured concrete for nearly 20 years and was a journeyman cement mason in the 1970's and 80's. During that period, I poured and finished hundreds of swimming pool decks and patios. Most of the pool decks were either seeded exposed aggregate or Kool Deck. My opinion is the workmanship is poor...

Free: Owner's Manual for 35 and Shop Manual for 35, 40, 50 and more

Hello all. I hope this is in the right forum. I have two Massey Ferguson manuals that I am parting with. See photos. These are not reprints; they are the originals and are not in the best physical condition; the owner's manual cover has separated from the book. The shop manual is scuffed...

    Would You Loan It Out?

Twice in my life, I loaned out my old Ford 4000 tractor. Twice it came back broken, so I am in the NO, NEVER loan out your tractor/equipment camp.

    B7100 HST Low power. Cause?

rScotty. Good thoughts on all of this--thank you. I actually changed out all filters prior to testing. When I replaced the fuel tank, there were no original replacements or aftermarket substitutes to be had. The new tank is coated on the inside--perhaps powder coated? The cap is wide and...

    B7100 HST Low power. Cause?

rScotty. I did replace the air filter prior to testing and will check valve clearances and do compression tests. Will check fuel flow at the injector pump. It also struck me that my dad could have erred in setting the valve timing--a tooth off? Is it possible to set the injector pump slightly...

    B7100 HST Low power. Cause?

First off, thank you all for your advice. I cleaned the screens and reinstalled with new O-rings. (The large screen was coated with gunk while the smaller one was fairly clean.) Installed a new Kubota Hydraulic oil filter and a Kubota fuel filter then new Super UDT2 oil. The old oil was...

B7100 HST Hydraulic filter thread specs?

arto. Thank you for the response and information. That sounds reasonable. In any case, I was able to straighten up the internal threads and re-install the original strainer. It was a little snug initially but went in smoothly. The other strainer on the left side of the tractor went in...

B7100 HST Hydraulic filter thread specs?

Thanks JWR. I'm certain the threads are the same; the original strainer will not thread back in either. It was easily removed. What apparently happened was metal shavings that had collected in the strainer dropped off in the threaded hole in the transmission case. My plan today is to use a...

B7100 HST Hydraulic filter thread specs?

Apologies. I should have been more clear. These are the internal filter/strainers. I now have thread gauges. It is closest to 1.75 metric pitch but not a match. Interestingly, an American 14 TPI gauge fits very well. The size is very close to 3/4 inch NPT thread.

B7100 HST Hydraulic filter thread specs?

As per the thread below, I ordered new filters, oil and O-rings from Messick's and began cleaning/replacement today. When reinstalling the smaller filter/strainer, the thread jammed about three threads in. After removal and inspection, I think some metal bits from normal system wear and tear...

    B7100 HST Low power. Cause?

I never knew there was a replaceable filter under that cover! Messicks was very helpful. I ordered all of the filters, o-rings and 4 gals of genuine Kubota Super UDT oil. If the problem is in the filter/screens, this should fix it. No worries bleeding the fuel system; between my old Ford...

    B7100 HST Low power. Cause?

I agree that fuel may be an issue. Replacing the fuel filter this week. Clutch is not slipping as far as I can tell. It just bogs down (speed and mower jointly). I do have the manual for it. Best regards.

    B7100 HST Low power. Cause?

rScotty. That describes the problem pretty well. Bogging down when going uphill is a symptom. I do have the manual for the tractor and will look into it tonight. Best regards.

    B7100 HST Low power. Cause?

A little history. My dad loved gardening and used a TroyBilt roto-tiller until he just couldn't manage it anymore. He then bought a B7100HST package from a rental yard; it included a front loader, box scraper, FL850 rotary tiller and RCR48 mower attachment. The B7100HST had been...
