How to Replace Studs in Bro-Tek Wheel Spacers?

I went to remove a rear wheel from my BX the other day and a wheel stud in my Bro-Tek wheel spacer snapped as soon as I applied pressure. Anyone know: Can I simply press these from the front side? Where can I find a replacement?

    Dogs and Coyotes

speaking of coyotes - my buddy spotted this up the street from my place this morning. look like a (ragged) coyote? i've seen them around from time to time and, as my profile pic might suggest, am not particularly fond of them hanging around.

    400hr. on the BX25 today

i sure picked a hot a humid day. other than that, everything went well. the front axle oil was a bit dirtier than i expected, then again it's not filtered. hydro fluid came out looking like new. my assistant was passed out on the job by the time we got to the MMM gearbox. kids these days...

    Recommendation for tire chains

i've had great experience with these guys as well. have a look to their application chart here to get started: Tractor-Tire Chains Recommendations i run the 2-link spaced smooth (non-v) on the rear of my BX with turf tires - nice smooth ride, great traction for snow removal and they don't...

    BX25 Backhoe Bucket Pin Stuck

I went to remove my BH bucket, with plans to install my ripper tooth. The first pin came out like expected, but the second wouldn't budge. I tapped on it lightly with a copper rod, no effect. Nothing LOOKS visible damaged or bent but I'm sure it wouldn't take much. I'm wary to force the pin...

    ROPS Light brackets

not the best pic, but here is what i did. just two pieces of flat stock that 'clamp' over around the ROPS. i placed watertight connectors at each fixture as well as one at the folding point of the ROPS for easy removal. i run four lights in total - front pair is on one switch and the back...

Less smoke with the block heater

great little accessory! it doesn't get cold enough here for me to *need* a block heater but i like the peace of mind that comes with knowing that i'm saving a bit of engine wear - plus the machine gets to operating temperature a bit quicker when i need to plow before leaving for work. here's...

    Anyone miss the larger cars?

size creep. it lines up: Corporate Average Fuel Economy - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia i credit most of this to cafe standards, and the lack of updates there. in the early 1980's there was an enormous requirement for fuel economy. manufacturers acted quickly and met the regulatory...

    Kubota in Google Trends

So I was searching a few terms on Google Trends this morning and decided to search "Kubota", for no good reason. I looks like we get pretty excited about our equipment about the same time year after year as spring comes around. The consistency of the trend's repetition is really interesting...

    Ditch Project, Advice Welcomed

my entire lot is on a hill, not at the top nor the bottom, and water is a constant problem since it comes on to our land from others' and i need to be careful in shedding it so as to not flood (or seriously anger) my neighbors. i've done several projects in this domain. where does the water...

    help with lights

on my tractor there were two leads (red/black), each with a bullet connector on the end. they were totally wrapped in, and concealed by, electrical tape. when standing behind the tractor they were attached to a loom that comes up the center/left, not far below the toplink connection, just...

    Bro-Tek Wheel Spacers on BX25

i went with the small ones (1.25") due to the clearances on my 54" mower. most of my annual hours are accumulated mowing and i wanted spacers that i could install and forget. i installed them this afternoon. no idea (yet) if they make the machine noticeably more stable, but they made...

Biggest projects you've completed with your 'bota?

i bought a box scraper earlier this summer, and used it to cut a drainage swale into the hill towards the top of my lot. it has made a tremendous improvement, greatly reducing the amount of water coming into my yard and subsequently towards my home and other buildings. luckily the grass came...

    Loader BX25 loader storage

does your shed have a solid floor? do you have a dolly for your backhoe? i find that being able to store mine in an orientation other than the one which allows for mounting/removal saves a lot of space. i.e., turning it perpendicular to the tractor at the back of the shed. Backhoe Storage...

    BX25 MMM 'Up Position'

Did you buy the machine new? If so, and the dealer installed the deck, then it *should* be properly adjusted. I found that mine needed a little fine tuning. If it hasn't been done, or you're not sure, it can't hurt to break out the manual and your deck gauge to make sure everything's right...
