    Finally bought a small generator.

We live in NE Mo. Have a 22kw generac propane unit for the house. Carries us just fine, we do try to moderate the loads, but it allows us to live normally during outages. No problems in 4 years. I change the oil and filter annually, would change after 25-30 running if we ever had an outage of...

    Rear Tire Ballast Fluid?

All fluids are messy if you have a flat. I use rimguard, “beet juice” in the LX3310 and M100X. Son in law uses windshield fluid in a L5030. No problems in NE Mo. Ballast adds stability and traction, use detachable wheel weights if you have to contend with conditions that cause flat tires, or...

    Kubota M7060HDC A/C Belt Tensioner

The AC tensioner on our M100X, LX3310 all turn counterclockwise to tighten the belt. The tension on the LX 3310 has to be tightened about a turn and a half every 50 hrs. Too small a belt , for the loads, in my opinion. For right hand threads, point your thumb in the direction you want...

One more idea of a brush guard

Finished the belly protection for the LX3310 a couple of weeks ago. Consists of 4 sections. First section is a front bumper that is bolted to the lower front frame using the same bolts that the factory bolts the front guard. It’s 4 in in front of the tires and 2 in above the front wheel...

One more idea of a brush guard

Thanks for the quick reply. I agree with your assessment of costs and available. I’ve roughed out dimensions and will start cutting square tubing and expanded metal tomorrow. I’m planning on three sections that will hinge down with the removal of just two bolts each. That should simplify oil...

One more idea of a brush guard

I have a kubota LX3310 and am in the process of cutting steel and welding up a belly brush guard to protect the hydraulics, control rods and etc. I have several overgrown acres to clean with a bush hog. No glorying reinventing the wheel so if some one has already fabricated or purchased guards...

    LX3310 1st Regen

Received our LX3310 new in July of 2021. Now have 298 hours on it. It has just finished 21 regents. Averaged 14.2 hrs between, longest interval was 30 hrs. I try to keep rpm’s at 2200 or 2400,(540 pto), throttle down to 1600 for precise control on FEL, post hole digging, finish work etc...

    B3350 and diesel particulate filter

We’ve owned 6 kubota tractors, with one exception they have been reliable, economical machines. The exception was a B3350. The tractor was fuel efficient, nimble, and powerful for a compact tractor. The cab, hydraulics, control arrangement, were capable and easy to use. Just a shame that a...

    LX3310 4 cylinder engine

4 cylinder engines fire every 180 degrees, 3 cylinder engines fire every 240 degrees, 6 cylinder engines every 120 degrees. Many small explosions versus a few large ones, for the same power, are inherently smoother. The cabs on a B3350, and an LX 3310 are much louder than the cab on a L5030...

    30HP vs 26HP 60" bush hog?

Retired engineer pontificating: PTO hp is the most important variable in brush hog work. Generally you need 4-5 pto hp per foot of cut when brush hogging in light to medium conditions, 3/4 inor less woody brush and grass weeds 3 foot or less. We have experience with Kubota tractors dating...

How many hours on your BX2200?

I put almost 2,000 hrs on a BX2200. Purchased in April of 2002 and traded it for a B2710 in Nov. of 2013. Changed oil every 50 hrs and the trans SUDT2 and filters as per Kubota schedule. He little guy cleaned barns and feed lots, chains on all 4 wheels. Used 54 in finish mower, 4 ft bushhog...

Newb looking for advice and info on a new compact tractor and attachments

I am a retired engineer, physicist, and active pilot and farmer. I have experience with, Alli’s Chalmers, International Harvester, John Deere, Minneapolis Moline, and Kubota. A tractor can seldom do every task you need to accomplish, but is the most versatile tool most people have available to...

cut pipe for plow cutting edge

I have used friction cut off blades in a circular saw, takes patience and skill, used a mill, and a plasma arc cutter to slit pipe. Prefer the plasma arc cutter. I use 2 in OD double wall pipe and weld two 1 in by 1/8 in straps bent in a U around the pipe to secure it to the FEL cutting edge...

    Blocking off radiator?

I ordered a set of winter covers for my kubota LX3310 from David. email address is dbratager@midco.net The cover are good quality, fit well, and service was timely and competent. Not cheap but you get what you pay for. They worked well the winter of 21-22

    Owner Reviews on LX Series

Thanks for the quick reply. I normally operate around 2200 rpm light load and at 2400, 540 on the pto, heavy load. The last 50 hours have been with a 6 ft brush hog and a 6 foot tiller, all heavy loads in summer heat. You thesis may well be correct, thanks.

    Owner Reviews on LX Series

Previously commented on longer than normal interval between regents on my LX3350. Normally 15 to 20 hrs between. Last regen at 299.7 hrs and regen Ed this morning at 334.8 hrs. Took the normal .2 hrs to regen. Maybe the new injectors are doing a better job of atomizing, promoting better...

    Owner Reviews on LX Series

I put 2,000 plus hours on both a BX2200 and a B2710. Spent $106 on the BX2200 and $800+ on the B2710, due to neighbors dirty fuel. These tractors were essentially trouble free and available when I needed them. A 2015 B3350 was a nightmare. Only managed to put 503 hours on it by Dec. of 2020...

    Owner Reviews on LX Series

I am a retired engineer, the following are ball park figures, but will be close to reality. A LX 3310 with cab will weigh approximately 2600 lbs. A LX 2610 with cab will weigh about 2300 lbs. FEL add about 550 lbs, MMMowers about 350 to 400 lbs, RFMowers about 450 to 550 lbs, brush hogs 450...

    30HP vs 26HP 60" bush hog?

I have owned 4 kubota tractors. BX2200, B2710, B3350, and LX 3310. The first two predated emissions, the last two were tier 4 with EGR and DPF. The last two have given far more trouble than the first two. I am a retired engineer and know how to live with emissions. I would repair the B2910...

    30HP vs 26HP 60" bush hog?

Retired engineer and kubota tractor owner. Pto HP is what is important in powering most implements. 540 rpm pto is going to give you 9.726 ftlbs of torque for each HP. Moderate growth, under knee high, brush hogging will require 4-5 hp for each foot of cut at 3 mph. You will find exceptions...
