    MT225S stability

i bought an MT225s about a year and a half ago with cab, loader, and snowblower. I had the tires loaded and the LS 2"+ rear tire extensions installed. I use a farmi JL351 skidding when working in the woods and routinely skid a twitch of three 8-12" butt logs (firewood)to the landing without any...

    MT225s PTO dash light On

Thank you to both GS650GL and Cycledude. The problem is fixed, yeah. The dealer sent out a mechanic on Tuesday and he checked solenoid, switch, relays, and he finally found that the wire was pinched and shorted out where the cab ROPS, rear fender, and bottom seat plate converged, he was able to...

    MT225s PTO dash light On

Yet another issue...When starting the tractor I noticed the PTO light stayed on though neither of the levers or electric knob were. When engaging the lever (mid or rear PTO) and turning the knob to the “on” position the spindles would not run. I checked the fuse and the F4 fuse (15A “PTO/Power...

    MT225s RPM surge

Thanks for your reply. The tractor was returned about 3 weeks ago and has been running fine. However it does not mean the problem is corrected as the RPM surge occurs more often at below freezing temperatures. Thus I will have to wait until late November for more accurate results. I hope we have...

Thanks again for your input. I will be having a discussion with my dealer. The MT225s is already in the shop for the "harness" to be replaced.

    MT225s RPM surge

Irregular RPM issue still persists. They got information from a tech rep that it maybe the wiring harness. has anyone heard of this being a possible fix? They got approval to replace the injector pump back in Feb. but appears they want to try this fix first!! The problem does occur more in...

Loader slowly lowers itself when under a load.

Thanks for the recall info. I will check with my dealer to see if it would apply to my issue.

Loader slowly lowers itself when under a load.

Thanks for the response. I will keep an eye on the settling speed to see if it increases. Nice to know the back story on some of the components too.

Loader slowly lowers itself when under a load.

Yes, it is a separate lift system. It is a nicely designed quick attach system with a single lift cylinder that can be used with either the S/B or a snow plow blade. Not sure but I think a sweeper as well.

Loader slowly lowers itself when under a load.

Problem does not seem to be getting worse. I have not had the the loader on for a couple of months because the S/B has been frequently in use. I did think it was interesting that both implements slowly lowered themselves. Thus, probably the 4 way valve slow leak? It is the only component that...

Loader slowly lowers itself when under a load.

I have a MT225s with loader and front mount snowblower. Last summer I used the bucket hook and a chain to lift the front of my smaller lawn tractor. After about 15 minutes the bucket had lowered the lawn tractor about 4-5 inches. Today I left the snowblower raised to let the snow melt out after...

    MT225s RPM surge

Glad you have also had good luck when using multiple cycles. I hope it works today because the temp started at -20 degrees F this morning and we are expecting 6" of snow today.

    MT225s RPM surge

Thanks for the quick response. I will pass this info on to the dealer. I agree with glow plugs not on long enough. I have found that cycling glow plugs 3 times quickly to help cold weather starts. thanks again.

    MT225s RPM surge

I am a new member to the forum but I have enjoyed following it for some time and finally decided to join. I do have an issue with an LS MT225s that I bought new about a year ago. The manual calls it irregular RPM. It presently has an LS front snowblower attached and when the MM PTO is turned on...
