MT225s PTO dash light On

Yet another issue...When starting the tractor I noticed the PTO light stayed on though neither of the levers or electric knob were. When engaging the lever (mid or rear PTO) and turning the knob to the “on” position the spindles would not run. I checked the fuse and the F4 fuse (15A “PTO/Power socket) was bad. The dealer told me that the 6 fuses in the serial number series of my tractor were known to be of possible sub standard quality. I replaced all 6 fuses with new “high” quality fuses supplied by the dealer but this still did not fix the problem. The PTO has worked a couple of times since a complete harness replacement a few weeks ago (for an RPM surging issue). Any thoughts would be helpful. Thanks

If this issue just started after replacing the harness, then that's the problem. Something not hooked up right when the harness was replaced or a bad ground. I have seen water get in the power socket a couple times also. Check that and if it's OK, get it back to the dealer and have them recheck everything.

Thank you to both GS650GL and Cycledude. The problem is fixed, yeah. The dealer sent out a mechanic on Tuesday and he checked solenoid, switch, relays, and he finally found that the wire was pinched and shorted out where the cab ROPS, rear fender, and bottom seat plate converged, he was able to isolate and retape the wire and put it back into the plastic wire protection tube (not sure what you call it). As we reassembled the seat, fender, and cab area we were very careful to make sure the harness was free and clear.
